That is SOOO true bout comparisons. Everyone's hair is different and you have to find out what works for you. Stopped relaxing my hair 2 years ago and this year cut out the remainder of the relaxer in my hair. And I'm definitely loving my hair more. oh how I wish people like you and Bianca Renee had been around 20 years ago.
aww that makes me so happy!!! You go girlll đȘđœ

Wet plopping is my new GoTo!! Thank you â€ïž youâre always an inspiration đ
I love that Curlsmith co wash always reaching for it. The more I use it the more it grows on me . It gets buildup off so good without drying it out and it smells so good
I've just dyed my hair lol. I was going grey at the roots and because of this I wasn't wearing my hair out I was still taking care of it though. I was doing the wetting my hair and applying product to small sections and my hair came out beautifully. And it's all thanks to you!. Thank you sweetheart, you've helped me a lot. Your never too old to learn lol. Thanks for sharing your tips đâ€đđ»

Yess back to back videos! I started my journey in April and my hair have come a longgg way. I am rocking my girls. Didn't have to big chop but I have been conditioning every week! Protein every other week! Thanks for the tips! God bless hun!
Hey I was just wondering what do you use to give your hair some protein? Iâve only been deep conditioning but I think my hair is too moisturized now đ
@@gabrielasbobadilla yes to much moisturizing isn't good .. have to balance it .. I use the shea moisture yogurt and honey protein treatment and the breoigo don't despair protein treatment.
I love cowash my hair twice a week , honesty natural hair feels comfort & soft & wild curls looks â€ïž
Soo today was wash day for me and I followed your tips. Let me just say I LOVE how juicy and defined my curls look. Now to attempt and preserve will be another mission lol thanks for sharing
My baby girl soon 3 years old and I try my best to figure out curly hair and the best things to do and best products. Thank you girl! I never had the idea to section the hair and fingercoil and moisturize this much and detangling and more water and everything etc..... So I just want to say........THANK YOU SO MUCCCCCCCCCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Love kiss and hugs from Hungary.

Luv that u are doing this.. It's so hard to gather info from all these sources and videos etc đ
Thank you so much my curls were popping when I left it alone and the moment I started messing with it I saw the change. Through this video I realized what I have been doing wrong. I am also Dominican and my curls look like your back in the day. I hate sectioning my hair to put product I'm kind of lazy but hey I might be able to be consistent and do this not only for me but for my daughter Thank you for sharing!!
Watching today and reflecting on 2020, working from home and feeling goofy when I hold a meeting. People can even interact, but it feels like Iâm lecturing. Your natural conversational style is amazing and feels like we are talking over coffee. Keep representing!
Also, thank you for all the knowledge! Iâm twice your age but need all the help I can get!
Love your videos! Eres la Mejor! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž

Hello Franchelli! Your videos are awesome and have helped me figure out this transitioning process a little better. I am a year and four months in and Iâve seen progress but my hair is soooo dryđ„ș I did the âbig chopâ back in March and the shrinkage is REaL! Anyway! Love love your videos.đ„°
I needed this thank you sm

Just subscribed to your channel
Iâm pretty happy with my curls. I transitioned 5 years ago with a mini chop.
I did not use heat⊠I would wear wigs and sew ins in I want straight look.
Now my hair is long enough that I feel confident to wear curly every day In the last 3 weeks. (Stopped wearing the wigs. Lol)
I wanted to say thank you for reminding me that I need to deep condition even though my hair is in GREAT condition
I need to continue to moisturize so it doesnât change on me.
You're one of my all time fave CZcamsrs! Big love from Papua New Guinea in the South Pacific islands đ one question girl, what is wet plopping? đ
love this!
First comment bc I NEEDED THIS
You are awesome. Thank you for sharing!
Truth!!! Wooohooo, yaaaay!!! â°â°â°â°I have a deep-conditioning tip for anyone who needs moisture more often than strengthening, &/or for anyone who needs to limit the amount of protein, aloe, or coconut (which most deep conditioners contain one or more of): you can take a fave leave-in and add, as Chelli mentioned, oils -- I add penetrating oils (olive, almond), nourishing (avocado, apricot), and sealing (castor, jojoba, & shea or cocoa butters). I'm med-high porosity (3b), but you can adjust what you add per your needs. So don't feel like you have to buy deep conditioners that use ingredients that your hair doesn't like (I learned that the hard way, hello protein overload!) My fave leave-ins rn (in order): Camille Rose Lavender Whipped Cream (my HG!), Curl Junkie Beauticurls, Soultanicals Frizz Whizz, Kinky Curly Knot Today, & Camille Rose Fresh Curl. These are all formulated with penetrating & sealing ingredients & make a good base for DIY deep conditioner. Which leads to another tip -- check out the back of bottles! The more you learn, over time, about ingredients, what your hair likes, what has hold, what types of shine/volume/hold/definition, etc., there are, and also that products change their formulas sometimes, the less trial & error, setbacks, wasted products/coin! Loved this video, love Mask Monday, love u girlie!!! xoxoxo đđđđđ
Forgot to mention that I also sometimes add honey, but I don't leave it in too long bc honey & water can lighten colour over time. Lol, Chelli, u called out my two-sectioning lazy beehind! Also Beauty, have u never taken a bad photo in ur life?!? đđâ°
Thanks Again Pon Deck for letting me know about these tips :) and Chelli's channel. I spend lots of time reading the labels of all products as I am very allergic to Aloe Vera and my hair hates coconut oil and protein. What a challenge!!! So... Thank You!!!!
@@monicadelatorre9256 It's my pleasure, Monica! Btw, Argan is another good penetrating oil. And it helps to add butters and use a shower cap bc the mix may not be super thick. If you are low porosity, you may not need a lot of sealing oils. I love all of these leave-ins, & I recommend leave-ins specifically for DIY deep-conditioners (as opposed to rinse out conditioners) bc they are gentle enough to be left in! Just make sure not to overcondition, obviously, & you can always add a bit of a protein conditioner to it if you need to (amino acids, hydrolized keratin or collagen are small & may be gentler). You're going to love Chelli's channel! Best of luck & xoxo! đđđđđ
Oop, but if you're protein sensitive like me, don't leave even those proteins on your hair for more than a couple of minutes, not more than once every month or two. I find that rice water, flax, and chebe can also be drying for me & have the same effect as protein, coconut, & aloe. Let me know if you try any of these leave-ins or if you find something you really love! â°â°â°
@@pondeck I haven't tried any of those brands yet. I was a Deva Curl for about 10 years when I was living in Texas. (They worked for me) Then I moved to Europe in 2017 and that brand wasn't sell here. (and now that they are available there is that awful controversy about them). I have been searching for the right product since then. So far the only shampoo & Conditioner my hair likes is Sap Moss weightless hydration from Aveda. I highly appreciate your tips and recommendations. Will let you know how it goes with my trial and error process. Regards, Monica.
Her: you may be in your early 20s or maybe your in your 50s
*me not even in my teens yet*
Awesome tips !!!
Love your hair â€and glasses đđđ€
I totally relate to the finger coiling! I just got a spontaneous big chop a little over 2 months ago. While I am happy with the layers and bangs I got, the hair stylist used thinning shears. So now I seem to have thin stringy pieces all over and I have to finger coil. Plus, my hair just wasn't in the best condition to begin with from years of improper care. So now I always finger coil. The first time I did it I was amazed. My whole life I had no idea that all I had to do was finger coil each section for less than a minute and the hair would keep the shape for days!
In regards to the cowashing... I find that gel builds up in my hair easily (using SheaMoisture's coconut based gel) so I am having challenges with that.
Excellent video, thank you.
if you don't like shampooing then I recommend a moisturizing shampoo. Shampoo removes build-up, research says that build up can lead one moisture overload, product up in your hair follicles and hair loss. Yes, you can co-wash but not shampooing can actually just cause your hair to feel dry since you are literally having layers of products sitting on your hair for week or days. With that being said, you might think your hair is dry but sometimes it's literally from the build up. I co-wash here and there but only like once a month. Research moisture overload and protein fatigue! Moisturizing shampoo will not strip your hair, it will cleanse your hair while leaving your hair soft. Some are: Bounce curls Clarifying shampoo or Moisturizing shampoo, Soultanicals Butta Shampoo, Novex Mystic Black Shampoo.
P.S I love chelli, you go girl!
Awesome video!đ„°
When she said big chop I thought she said bitch out LMAO đđ college life really be making me hear things
Girlll me 2 i swear she said bitch out Iâm like huhhđ€Łđ€Ł
Omg me encanta tus videos y gracias por todos tus tip e aprendido mucho sobre mi cabello para volver a tener mis rizos el proceso es duro pero lo voy a logra
Girl u gave us curly heads the real tea wit this video đ” thanks for the tips! P.s. I thought u were Colombianđ I was thinking U might be Dominican and then right there at the moment u confirmed it lol , Iâm Dominican toođ©đŽ
This is so helpful, thank you!! Lots of great tips. I love how you went through all of the steps in detail. I really need help with days two, three etc. I will try the bonnet at night. I bought one but I havenât worn it. My husband says that I âlook like Iâm the school lunch lady ready to fry fishâ đ . So I donât wear it, itâs not very sexy. However, itâs hard work getting it to look good to not take care of it at night. Heâll have to deal with the lunch lady LOL
Thank you! I had never seen someone talk about two pineapples under the bonnet. Doing it after tomorrow's wash day.
Thank you so much! I am from DR too and I remember needing to do two and sometimes 3 washes. My mom would say "con una lavada do hace espuma." I get the frizz at the crown of my hair too. I have been transitioning for about a year. But I still have some issues.
Thanks for the amazing video đđđđđđđ€đ€đ€ I would love to see a video how you co-wash your hair
I'm 1/2 Dominican and I grew up doing the double shampooing once a week. It took me a loooooong time to break out of that habit once I started going natural. The struggle was real lol
Her hairs so pretty
Thanks for this! Where did you get your glasses? Love them want them. Thanks mama's!
Yes healthy hair is beautiful hair đ
Your transitioning journey sounds so much like mine I'm 3 weeks into my healthy hair journey. Thanx for all the tips
yay youre welcome!!
@@chelliscurls Thank you I'm super excited cos today marks 4 weeks in and I can see some curls only issue I have is major frizz at my roots what can I do to to fix it
I â€â€â€ those glasses! Can you tell me the designer or where you got them? Another great video!
Hey Chelli! Loved the video...can't wait to show this to my mum. She's gotten so lazy with her hair lately so maybe she'll listen to you more than she'll listen to me đ
But I also have a question, if you don't mind. I've been natural all my life but I never really rocked my curls (3b/3c) and took care of them up until two years ago but I've started to notice recently that some of the areas where I have 3c curls, are changing into 3b...is this normal or should I be worried?
Love your channel, Franchelli! What water temperature would you recommend for washing & styling?! Thank you!
Great video!! Thank you so much!! You forgot to link the video on styling (sectioning).
I love your video! It really spoke to me and my situation! Iâm currently transitioning and am lost. I do have a question however. You said the first rule is to avoid heat but then with the deep conditioning you say sit under heat for about 20 mins. Iâm what CGM called 2b/2c hair.
You are the absolute best ma fren .... I am very very short, not really transitioning but have a lot of frizz, trying to get to the stage where I can actually get to wet plop ... a short bob .... pray for me .... but these tips are very very very helpful
Girl, I got you đâ€ïž
I love how you mentioned that God created us carefully. That was a true blessing. Thank you
I only straighten my hair at most 3 times a year, and Iâm starting to do it less. But my hair is SO dead and super thin and my curl pattern is not how it was, itâs just getting worse and worse. I have been trying so hard to get it to its best, but it never works. I have been trying since two years ago. And I even use everything that is recommended, like bones and silk pillow cases.
Okay but girll when you paused to cut your hairđ that was a whole mood lol I do the same thingđ Absolutely love this video! Really great tips for curly girls transitioning!đâ€ïžđ
haha it gets me sooo annoyed lmao thanks for watching girl đ
I'm starting my hair journey at age 14!! Yes it's young but the years are flying by and I need my hair to look good by my twenties đ go curlies we can do it!!
Love your curls, I Believe mine could get as yours... I'm also Dominican, tocaya XD thank you for the tips! I'm going to begin this journey. I don't go so much to the salon because I hate heat, (I'm used to go like 3-5 time per year) and just wash my hair in my house and combed it. But I decided to buy curly products to treat it. When I want curls I just prepare flax seeds. But I need to buy products and finally dedicate some time for my hair .
But what happens if you have grays and want to cover them? What can I use thatâs less harsh on my hair to cover them?
I sleep with a bun on the very top of my head because it's too long for the pineapple (tail bone length), I might re start the curly journey because of dye, but my hair just doesn't take the semi permanent dyes and even permanent has a hard time getting into my hair but still damages it, but I hate my light brown so much, this is very helpful! saludos desde España :)
