A timeless classic, brings back memories of a more civilised era happy days.
This is am awesome Classic Jaguar!!! It is in stunningly good shape!! Keep it roaring!!!.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever (as someone once said).
@tom kent........John Keats [of course]. From his poem 'Endymion' in 1818
''A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep....''
I want it ❤️
Beautiful work guys, mk2 is just MAGNIFICANT. pure 60's icon .
Beautiful 🇬🇧
Great music. Oh, great car too.
This Jaguar of yours is just stunning The video footage is fabulous the way the car pulls into the workshop you catch it beautifully The detailing is great especially the footage of the engine bay I had an S Type 3.4 1967 seeing this brought it all back Nice One!..
Thank you John, it was a privilege to work on it
Magnificent! I had the good fortune to go in my friends fathers Coombes Jag. Wonderful!
Its amazing how a piece of metal can evoke such passion. I mean , its like looking at a beautiful woman. Damn!
Except this keeps it shape indefinitely eh!?
Beautiful Classic is still on the road
What a magnificent example of a mark 2 jaguar I have had the pleasure to have owned one a mark2 2.4 automatic in a deep maroon colour it had belonged to the chivas regal whiskey 🥃 company I bought it in 1977 it was a 1964 had only 43 thousand miles on the clock I only paid £700 for it god knows what it would cost now bonnie Scotland 🏴
I grew up in North America, Canada more specifically. Two automobiles that move me are this Jaguar and a 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator. Both are sit at the top of the Automobile food chain.
Certainly a nice car to spend time with
Spectacular achievement from your warn out fingers and wrists I’m sure! It’s undoubtedly the best Mk2 for finish I’ve ever seen, and I’ve studied a few! It’s in effect a one off and it’s entry was royalty no less! I think it’s near orgasmic in a car sense thar is! Cheers
Thank you Nigel, it really did deserve the full works. Tiring but very rewarding.
A work of art
Stunning!
Hi my father had a 62 Coombs of Guildford mk2 3;8 Jag fantastic car
It's an amazing machine, I'd love to drive it sometime.
Long gone now I should imagine
Nice video! Lovely work you’ve done on this jag here. What song have you used in this video? I like it!
Excellent
Can anyone answer me a question. I was told about 40 years ago that Coombs Mk2's had an option to fit wooden toggles to the 6 toggle dashboard switches.
I have never seen that, Does any one actually know?
Thank you.
Hmm nice music, reminds of the music of John Barry's Thunderball score, and I take it the car is a hill climb car by the modern smaller Pirelli P600 tires and the time attack equipment inside?
I know what you mean about the music, I thought it very fitting with the era of car. It was taken on a "rally" across the united states. I believe the equipment was installed to keep up to date with the route/time etc.
Why is it that modern architecture and cars look absolute soulless compared to the years when these cars were built?
I know what you mean, I think it mainly comes down to safety and costs of manufacture. Sad but true :(
Itz actually difficult to verbalize what you're are referring to . The old cars are a visual feast from whatever angle you choose to look at them from . I find myself drooling over classic cars , the depth of character unfathomable
Nice car, what's the name of it, good content, we wish you success
Nice job but in my memory Coombs had thin rear wheel spats not like this car. As beautiful as it is What’s to say this is genuine Coombs?
On my father’s coombs jag it didn’t have spats at all the wheel arch was flared like the fronts
So its 3 and a half minutes of polishing an already clearly detailed car, that has outrageously immaculate paintwork. That's no achievement, I'm afraid. Just a blatant advertisement.
I've gotten the car to this stage over some time, the final stages were to polish the chrome, correct the paint and apply ceramic coatings. I carried out the work after it had been on a tour. Everything I have carried out is an achievement for me, not for you.
Will soon be worthless with gasoline ban around the corner
There will always be people willing to dig pits for rare metals to continue with the production of batteries. So there will always be an option to convert this Jag or perhaps someone will allow the synthetic fuel manufacturer to release the alternative to petroleum. Either way, the worth is in the experience.
