- With MOTS7 here, I felt a pang of nostalgy over the "old" BTS and the songs that were made before DNA era, where I feel like BTS took a turn. So I decided to make this playlist for other nostalgic people like me. This is my personal opinion of which songs are "best" from them and by no means it implies that the rest of their songs aren't masterpieces. Enjoy ^^

The era from their debut until the Spring Day era is and will always be the most classical, beautiful, and memorable era of BTS for me. I listened to them a lot before but now I only listen to them rarely and mostly I always listen to their old songs. It's my personal opinion that the old version of them before their western promotions is what made them very attached to me. Anyway, I really miss their younger selves, the Jin, RM, Suga, J-hope, V, Jimin, and Jungkook that I used to adore and love.
I agree, Mic Drop was one of the last songs I liked. Spring Day will be the peak song for me.

There are definitely older songs that should have the same views if not more than the newer ones. I'm a multi but I only stan 2 groups. I like the older songs but won't be an army

Please dont be mad but I really miss the "old" BTS songs. They deserve all the glory and fame from their newer songs but "old" BTS song hits at a different spot uwu. Well, I still love them as much as Day 1 and they are technically the same Bangtan. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMPILING THIS, MY HEARTFELT GRATITUDE TO YOU!!!

They're coming back with their new album PROOF. You should definitely listen to it cuz it's mentioned that it will contain songs from their whole discography and maybe even some unreleased versions of sone songs. They new songs will be more hip-hop oriented like the 2013-16 type era which we all love~. It will be out on 10th june.

I love Bangtan, but in my very own and earnest opinion, I prefer their old songs more than the recent ones. The new ones are too... pop and common I would say. But I know Bangtan loves each and every album and era they have, so even if their new music are not to my taste I still listen to it. :)

Exactly, I feel they are more commercial. Personally, I feel more emotional with the older songs, as if they really left something deep in them. It's as if their essence has been lost a little as they become more commercial.

Alot of people are saying that their new songs are bad or not as good as their old ones but yall just haven't listened to these 2019-2020 bops. Black Swan,HOME,Mirkokosmos,Friends, We are Bulletproof The eternal, Dionysus,Moon,Inner child,UGH, 0:00,and Daechwita still hits hard. Honestly I'd agree that they're old songs hit harder but the news are still good tho. I wished their hip hop style rapping,singing. I missed Rapper Jungkook and Taehyung's growls. I also missed their free-sprited young selfs. AND OO ALSO Those eyeliners they used to put under their eyes made them look 10000x times hotter. But I still love them for how they are today. BTS FOREVER

I personally think it's a matter of every individual taste. Some like the new songs more. Some the older ones and many don't even know Bts old songs. For me- i love the old songs and i don't like most of the newest songs. That's why I'm not an Army anymore.

I know a lot of people prefer their old songs, but all their songs and all their albums have grown up with them, from teenagers and singing about education, dealing with depression and teenagers hard ships to growing up becoming adults and learning to love yourself, and now pandemic time their putting out songs that give us hope and are uplifting that we all need to here rn. They still have their swag! They're experimenting and growing they'll always be the same bangtan

Listening to their old songs always gives me goosebumps. I really miss the HYYH era, actually, I miss all the old eras. It makes me so sad that most new army came to know them through their english songs or their most western songs and don't know about the HYYH full story and the lyrics of songs like Run, Young Forever or I need u (it was the song that made me star my path as an army), or even their debut songs, which would make them realize how much BTS have work to be where they are today.
I remember watching BTS old bangtan Bombs back when I was a new army, I remember how my love for them gradually grew watching funny videos to get to know them and discovering the meaning behind their songs and mvs. A lot of army nowadays only know their western facade, and I don't really blame them if they don't want to get too involved with BTS, but it's just sad. Lots of them call themselves true army while only knowing Butter, Dynamite, Permission to dance or Boy WIth Luv, and it's OK, but there are more songs and a long story to discover, a story about their hardships and triumphs, a story where they've handed their hearts and dreams to the world.
They work so hard till today!

This is the BTS playlist I've grown up with and have always listened to before I became an EXO-L. Always feels nostalgic. Thank you for this.

I became an army since 2018 and I listened to their old songs and dang, it just hits different.
These were the songs I used to listen to during what was the most beautiful moment of my life (ha. the reference). In 2019-2020, I lost everything that provided me happiness. I was in freshman year, my best friend moved away (only an hour away thank goodness), I broke up with my first love, my mental health collapsed, many family members fell ill, it felt like I had to start all over everything I had enjoyed and used as my support system for the last 3 years. Listening to these songs again, I feel like I'm in 7th grade again, loudly singing along with my best friend in a bus without a care for the judgmental eyes around us.
Slowly, I'm learning how to find happiness myself. I'm alone again, but I have music, and it's not like my best friend is completely unreachable, we still text and call. Nothing will replace being able to see her face to face and go through adventures like we used to but I can't even imagine losing her completely.
These are songs I've enjoyed since I was 11. I turn 17 next month, and am only a year away from graduating high school. I know nothing will take me back to the way it was, but hearing these songs is the closest thing I'll ever get to it.
I can only look forward to the future, and I WILL look forward to it. If these songs taught me anything, it's how to appreciate and live life in the present. I won't let those messages die with the experiences of the past.

Oh god some of these songs are connected to some of the old memories, still remember how i used to play that one high note of Jimin in "let me know." How i used to blush over that "for you" jungkook. How i used to listen Suga's "agust d" and used to felt like I was gangster. How i used to search for jungkook's cover songs. How i used to listen V and RM's "4:O clock". How i used to keep jimin's "lie" instrumental as my ringtone. How i used to wait for Rm's and hobi's mixtape. Most sweet memory is how i used to watch "Bts Rookie king". Nostalgia hits so hard. I can't even explain, each of their song has my memory attached to it. It all started with searching their names. 9 years with them :) Bangtan will always have special place in my heart.

I've been a fan since late 2019 so I got into them when they released more pop like songs. But I listened to their old music so much that it still feels like nostalgia even tho I wasn't a fan when they released it. It just reminds me of the time when I was super obsessed with their music and they helped through rather tough times.
And even though I really like their new music (it's literally so good) I will always prefer the music they released in their first few years because it's just more my type of music :)

Used to be an army for so long ago, and i came back here for some comfort. It felt so nostalgic and yet so sad.
I'm happy that they're finally getting the recognition and love they deserved, but it felt so different now.
And me, i found the exit to the magic shop. But i will always come back for the old songs that people are sleeping on.
I became army in 2022 but I like all eras and they are great friends in my life❤
