Ps I also found San Cristobal to be one of favorite places in all of Mexico, the climate was great warm in the daytime, cool at night

I did the boat ride thru the canyon 20 years ago the beauty was stunning but in those days the plastic bottles and oil cans in the river was saddening.The alligators were great to see until you go around a bend and 20 kids are swimming in the river it was amazing place wish I had known about the aerial views

San Christabal de las Casa is one of my favorite cities. I hope you had time to visit Chaula.
Te recomiendo tengas mucho cuidado por tu travesia por Chiapas, aunque es un estado muy bonito, Ultimamente se han registrado mucho enfrentamientos armados. Si tienes la dichad de evitar transitar por Chiapas, hazlo.
Eso no es del todo verdad , 🤔 ... Lo que si es que cada vez ahí más "pájaros de mal Agüero ", deseando el desastre y creando montajes , están enojados porque perdieron sus privilegios 😅

Thye roads are awesome the waters look so inviting until you think about the CrockaGators (Aussie Slang we have Crocdiles both freshies and salties the salties being bad medicine beyond 25 feet long some specimens and over their you have Alligators hence Crockagators both bad medicine but Salties are the worst much bigger and nasty.
That National Park is mindblowing especially on a Bike, Like wow
