On a beautiful misty morning I head out to one of my favourite spots in the New Forest. The target was to see some of the deer during the rut, and I was not disappointed. As the morning drew on I turned my focus to landscape photography and took one of my favourite images this year - a panoramic of birches catching the morning sunlight.

One of the best vids I have seen in a while on the u-tube. I'll always shoot multiple exposures for sunrise/sunset photos giving me more to choose from or blend but, would have to say, 2 stops under is my go to if had to pick only 1. Let me watch another 1 of yours & decide if I sub. Keep em coming & happy shooting.
A Max walk about isn’t complete without a good old swamp to step into or bushes to bush wack through 🎉 amazing footage and shots!

More stunners captured here Max 😁 intro was just glorious with the mist and the deer. The 6:28 one was a great comp. Beautiful light, depth, and leading lines. Learned a bit about stags here too haha didn’t know about the heirarchy based on the “pointy bits” 😂

Thanks David!! Haha for every morning like this there's 10s of ones walking around in poor conditions, makes it all the more worthwhile though! Was lucky two or three weeks ago we had a string of misty mornings, before rain and wind last couple weeks.
@@maxtakesphotos I’m up near the lakes all the good mornings have been working mornings recently but that’s what keeps us going out I suppose? 😩

That was such a beautiful film to start my Sunday. You deserve way more exposure and subs and I really do hope to keep seeing your work every week. If you ever decide to do any photo tours of that area I’m sure there’d be an audience, inc me! I’m way up north, but always wanted to visit the New Forest. Great images, filming and story telling 👏👏👏

Just subscribed!! Great channel!!! Ya great experience being out there in the rut !! Red stags are having a hammering from poachers lately ! Just a thought you can tell me to do one if you want lol ! But putting New Forest on title probably won’t help as you’ve seen lots of people know how to find deer & location is now easy to find ! Just a concern! But really enjoy your channel be looking forward to your next post 👍👍
Thanks for the comment - glad you liked the video and appreciate the sub!! Poaching is so grim and I wouldn't want to jeopardize any wildlife through my actions. I was careful to only include the national park name rather than drill down any further to also help prevent any disturbance (not like enough people watch this anyway to have an impact haha!). I'm comfortable including the national park as it is famous for its deer, particularly the reds and no secret. The gov nat park site as well as the Forestry Commission openly writes about the reds, as well as many publications etc so I'm not adding anything new not already out there.
