- Mid morning drive from the suburbs of Dubai to Al Sharjah from my last visit. I'm in Florida all week then back to other travel shortly. Hope everyone is doing well!
Dubai is a city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene. Burj Khalifa, an 830m-tall tower, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. At its foot lies Dubai Fountain, with jets and lights choreographed to music. On artificial islands just offshore is Atlantis, The Palm, a resort with water and marine-animal parks.

I don’t know what’s more amazing, the infrastructure or the fact that drivers are yielding at roundabouts. Excellent

Yeah. Burj Khalifa isn't even connected to sewage system, all waste is transported by trucks. Elegant and beautiful.

How you can drive the freeways of a major city with a population of almost 3.5 million during the daylight hours and not get stuck in a single traffic jam this entire video is pretty remarkable. I couldn't say that about my current city. I always hit traffic, even on nights and weekends.

Hey J, awesome video as usual. I always watch your drives at mid night during the weekends. I also dream of traveling the world like you & maybe we meet some day ^^. This video in particular was crazy for me because you were like 4 buildings away from my residence. It is just mind blowing how small this world can be sometimes...
Thanks! Yeah it is funny how smalltime world actually is. I've been thinking lately about how in 1000 years, people will look back and say "I can't believe that people in the 2000's had to stay on earth there whole life"

Just GOT back,I stayed in an *AMAZING 65 floor suite, with panoramic glass* of the hotel JW MARRIOTT MARQUIS.The city at night Is wonderful,in the day ugly too hot,It Is a city too see,but It does not compare remotely with New York Rome London and Paris.

E 11 through Dubai is one of the widest freeways ever. Why not compare that with I-10/US 90/Katy Freeway in Western Houston, TX, USA and ON 401/Macdonald-Cartier Freeway through Mississauga, ON, Canada?

Excellent video. The roads are so smooth ...not broken from frost heaves that we experience in the colder areas of North America. I'm curious what the sprawling building is at 34:00. Is that a government building, or a university? I like the traditional style of architecture on that building. Thank you, J Utah!
