  • Looking for something to give your garden some color and charm? Toadstools make a cute addition! I made 3 sets of these. One for me and one for my mother and mother-in-law for Mother's Day. Pretty easy and so cute.

Using a PVC pipe, I make the cut down the pipe before using cement. Packing tape holds the cut together. I put vegetable oil inside before loading with cement. When dried, the cement slides right out.

Who ever the guy was that was helping you, I assume your husband, God bless him. I could just feel the warmth of a human being he is glowing with. Never even saw his face.
    Oh yea....Love the mushrooms

They looked so much better without the stain. The stain made them all brown..

I thought they looked too bright without the stain, but you can leave the stain off if you like it better that way.

I think I would use the rebar to connect the caps with the stems and perhaps sand the tops a little so they are not that flat. But that k you for the idea.

so cute. I'm making mine out of terracotta pots. I think that I would have left the stain off the top completely.

That sounds cute! Yeah a lot of people have told me that. For some reason I like stain over everything I paint.

I want to say thank you for publishing this, I wanted to this too, but couldn't workout how, did you do the rest of your garden with your idea?, would love it if you could share. Thanks again

Thank you Chelle. I didn't do my whole garden this way. I made a set of 3 for each of my mothers. I put my set in the fairy garden that I am making on my patio. When I get that area done in the spring, I will be sure to post.

my garden is going to be in a café setting, I am opening on the 7th of feb. I am trying to go with the enchanted look but sadly my creative side is only in the kitchen. This is on my busy schedule for next week. I'll let you know how I go. x
