    They're lucky to have three great vocalists and they make intelligent use of the different vocal styles. Ylva's voice is beautiful and Mats with his baritone is a lot of fun, but my favorite is Joakim with his growly vocals and powerful stage presence.

    I love to see people who react to songs and after that they talk about the sounds, the voices even the history behind it. You do a very good work, you make people who maybe don't really like metal to much get interested about this beautiful and complex genre.
    Thank you, greettings from Spain.

    Brothers of metal is one of my absolute favorite bands. Their first album have 14 tracks and all of them are unique and really, really good. Also love their videos which always have some little fun thing to look for (like the foot in Njord). Sweden rocks! 😎

    I love them. They have fun, and they're excellent musicians. Occasionally they catch you with a really moving song with a great message, such as "One". And Ylva has a voice to send you to Valhalla with a smile on your face. 🤘❤️

    Honestly, I love both of their albums, but I actually prefer Emblas Saga over Prophecy Of Ragnarok. From the day it was released, it is a mainstay in my car music rotation. Love their sound and their theme. Would love nothing more than to see them tour in the States when touring resumes!

    Hello! Nice reaction! Haha the town in sweden with most metal density must probably be Gothenburg, and not Falun =) You have bands like In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, At the Gates, Dead by April, Dream Evil, Evergrey, Graveyard, Hammerfall, Hardcore Superstar, Mustasch. All great bands =) You should REALLY check out Dark Tranquillity. I would suggest Insanity's Crescendo - Dark Tranquillity.
    Cheers,

    3:30 "not so much to do in Falun".
    Totally understand that you cant be well read on every small town in Sweden. So this is just a "the more you know" comment. :)
    Falun happen to be one of the "winter sport meccas of Sweden".
    When ever Stockholm apply to host the winter Olympics they rely on have much of the events in Falun.
    So if you like winter sports you will have alot to do in Falun!

    I think Joakim gives them vocals an edge that keeps the band firmly planted in metal instead of just general rock. You take the growl away and it's too soft of a sound, imo.

    • @MetalAcademix
      @MetalAcademix  Před 3 lety +2

      I personally agree with you entirely, Jordan. I feel that the harshness of the voice balances Ylva's singing. So does Mats' narrative voice. Otherwise it could get maybe too "soft". - Anamaria

  • @elricthebald870
    @elricthebald870 Před 4 lety

    I have no idea what you've done with the clip but you're playing Njord too slow. It should be slightly faster and higher pitched. This does NOT do it justice.
    Edit: Damn. You butchered Prophecy of Ragnarok and Yggdrasil in the same way. Too slow and low.
    First AND last time I'll watch anything here. Big BoM fan but this sucks.
