He doesn't want to destroy the spirit of the time with knowledge. I love the way these guys think.

Absolutely fantastic interview. I love Andre. He’s such a down to earth, kick ass guy. I swear he’s also one of the most underrated guitar players ever. I hate the word underrated, but what I mean is he’s not talked about enough. I good part of BG songs are just one giant solo for Andre, and he just nails it ever time. I saw them live tonight in Cleveland. Andre’s wireless connection cut out and it was just Marcus for like 2 min until they hardwired Andre back in lol. Overall it was great and a lot of fun. Tonight was my 4th time since 2002. Never missed an appearance in Cleveland since then.

I love what Andre said about old albums having a 'naivete and spirit of the time', I feel the same way. I wouldn't want BG to release another Tales from the Twilight world, but I love hearing a young and a little bit crazy band doing their thing back in the day.

What a great interview! I really love how André described the songwriting process and the evolution of the Blind Guardian sound/songwrtining. For me I think the At the edge of time/beyond the red mirror chapter already started with a night a the opera (fantastic album btw). And I really loved this complex, epic, bombastic sound/songwriting. A lot of my favorite BG songs are from that area (like and then there was silence, grand parade, at the edge of time (the song), wheel of time, sacred etc.).

Such an insightful interview. I love the comment about compromise being undesirable, and how Hansi and he work together. Can't wait to see these guys again in April this year.

Really interesting interview, can't wait to hear Destiny after Andre saying it's the best guitar work he thinks he's ever done :D
    Thank you for the upload!
