    Sir, how the value of cos1-1e^1 = (-2.1779), I think it should be (-1.7184),..... pls check it. in the second problem and also f(3) = 27-14= 13 not 16 in the first problem...

      Change degree into radian first in the calculator
      And solve ..
      Then u will get the correct answer

    In the beginning of solving question, F(3)=27-9-5=13 and and sir you have calculated is 16

    But Today I found two mistakes here, first 3^3-3*3-5=13(In video It was 16), and other was You forgot to write ^2 in X3 equation of first example.
    But the method was very easy, thankyou sir..

    Sir question ki starting mai jo apne x ki value 3 rakhi hai uska answer 16 nahi 13 aa raha hai f(3)=27-9-5=13

    Sir in cosx-xe^x=0, when i calculated the calculator i got X1 as 0.570783178 shortly 0.5707 and X2 as 0.5671 so can you please clarify this if possible.

      Yes it will not come exactly 0. But it will be a very small value. (Use calculator in radian mode)

    I just came up with the improved newton raphson method. My friend T.G.I Fernando says that it is an improvement to newton's method. I use it most of the time because it is cubic convergence order method.

    for the 2nd question what should we use? degree mode or radian mode. in degree the value is coming -1.7184 and in radian the value is coming -2.1779

    If the function is x^3-3x+1=0 ... Here one of the root lies between (1,2) .If we take initial point x0=1 ...then next value x1 tends to infinite ...in such cases what to do ??? Please reply sir 🙏🙏

      f'(xn) is must not equal to 0,so we can't take x0=1...we have to take another value

    I got this answer when n = 1 and n = 2.
    The root of this equation is 0.51775
