  • WE LOVE FRIED RICE! We want to show HOW TO MAKE AMAZING PORK FRIED RICE on the BLACKSTONE GRIDDLE! This EASY RECIPE was requested, and we are so happy it was! Check out HOW TO MAKE this AMAZING PORK FRIED RICE on the BLACKSTONE GRIDDLE here!
    Recipe for PORK Fried Rice
    4 cups Jasmine rice (*We used approx. 5 cups for this cook - measurement is pre-cooked rice)
    2 lbs pork loin cubed/cut to smaller pieces
    2 cloves of garlic (minced)
    4 large eggs
    1/2 medium yellow onion
    1 small bag mixed veggies (corn, peas, carrots is best)
    Sweet soy sauce (purchased at any Asian market)
    Sesame oil
    Sesame seeds
    Vegetable oil
    *Soy sauce to taste
    Cook rice before preparing to fry on the griddle top (we recommend overnight cooling in the refrigerator on a cookie sheet - spread the rice out.)
    Turn griddle to med/low heat. Lay down about 1/2 tbs. of vegetable oil. Place minced garlic, followed immediately by rice. Continue cooking/mixing on griddle surface to fry the rice. While it is cooking (after approx. 5-7 minutes), place oil on a separate area of the griddle over med/low heat and lay down vegetables, starting with the frozen veggies. Once vegetables are hot and cooked, move to a section of the griddle that is no longer on (to keep warm - you can remove veggies from griddle if room is needed to cook the pork). Place oil on the griddle, followed by the pork loin. Cook while moving cut pork until all pork is cooked through sufficiently. While the pork is cooking, add sweet soy sauce to the veggies, pork, and rice. Once pork is cooked through, add vegetables, and mix the pork and veggies with the rice. Add sweet soy sauce (*and regular soy sauce if preferred) until rice is to desired taste. Serve and enjoy!

    Looks great, next time try Trader Joe's Pork Belly (they're fully cooked). If you want to bring it up a few more notches turn the pork belly into the Chinese BBQ (like the pork used in Chinese restaurants) make a quick Char Sui sauce:
    1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar (white also ok)
    1/4 cup honey
    1/4 cup hoisin sauce
    2 tbsp light soy sauce , or all purpose soy
    1 tbsp soy sauce , just all purpose (or more light soy)
    1 tsp Chinese five spice powder
    1 tbsp oil (vegetable or canola)
    2 tsp red food colouring , optional
    Mix Marinade ingredients in a bowl.
    Place the pork and Marinade in a stain proof container or ziplock.
    For at least 2 hours or overnight is even better.
    Aaaamazing

    That looked so amazing, love that color! I am so looking forward to making fried rice on my Blackstone! I always love it when going out for Teppanyaki. I have a couple giant bottles of the ABC Sweet Soy Sauce... the stuff is amazing. Maybe I will try making it both ways. I suppose it make it a bit more Japanese tasting, like Teriyaki... nothing wrong with that! I am moving my Blackstone the patio this weekend... just did pressure washing first because the moss was bananas this year. Looking forward to this griddle season so much! Griddle on!

    • @waltwins
      @waltwins  Před 3 lety +1

      @ALLBOUTTHUGLIFE Před 3 lety +1

      Go to a real Asian Market. Anything Premium. I cant Read in Chinese, Korean, Thai or Vietnamese. 😝 But anything Premium with the...... For instance: Oyster Sauce..
      Should Read:
      Oysters in the 1st line of ingredients
      No flavor enhancers.
      Real oyster sauce is made with real oysters, reduced down to almost nothin
      Same with Hoisin
      Natural ingredients 1st. Then Maybe a couple of preservatives.

    • @ALLBOUTTHUGLIFE
      @ALLBOUTTHUGLIFE Před 3 lety

      I will sure be sending you guys a package sometime soon. Might be like $10-$20 but the flavors will definitely impress you and yours 😝 itll be like a powdered marinade. But it stretches the powder to like 2-4lbs of meat. Depending on how much flavor youd like. I make Filipino Longaniza with that. Man, you'll have ppl beggin to clean your gutters, mow your lawns, wash your cars, shave your heads for a year 🤣

    • @ALLBOUTTHUGLIFE
      @ALLBOUTTHUGLIFE Před 3 lety +1

      Hoisin is added to like: Stir fry rice, chow mein, chicken, wings, basically anything not soupy. So even beef and brocc. You will love it. It's not a sauce from protein. Combined with oyster sauce. It's the best.
      ****Note: Oyster Sauce and Hoisin are in sauce form.
      ***Filipino spices are powder form

Keep up the good work. I'd love to be the other other other guy, but since I'm a newbie to the griddle world, I'll settle to learn from you. I heard that where there's fat, there's flavor... Thank you so much for watching! Correct - we love doing these cooks because you can add as much or as little of it all as you want - we had larger bags of veggies - the last fried rice we did we had one bag of mixed veggies - there were a ton using them separate bags. We pulled the veggies off and used the extra as side veggies - so good!🤙🤙🔥🔥

    • @waltwins
      @waltwins  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey fam! It’s a little different. While similar in sweet/savory flavors, the sweet soy sauce is naturally thicker, while hoisin sauce uses a corn starch to help thicken it up. Hope this helps!! Honestly, I’d love to use hoisin sauce to check the difference.🤙🤙
