Anthem of Peru - "Marcha Nacional del Perú" (Instrumental)

The National March of Peru (Spanish: Marcha Nacional del Perú) is the national anthem of Peru. It was written in 1821 during a competition to create a national anthem announced by José de San Martin, and was officially approved on April 15, 1822. In 1869, minor changes were made to the text of the anthem; in 1913, the status of the anthem was officially legalized.
Beginning in September 2009, the 7th verse of the national anthem, in accordance with the order of the Peruvian government, began to be officially sung instead of the first. The Peruvian Armed Forces and the Peruvian National Police also adopted the new verse.
