First time in my brand new Caterham race car - Brands Hatch Indy 2024

If you are new, I am a former track day enthusiast who is going racing and very much learning on the job!
In this video I am driving my brand new 2024 @OfficialCaterhamUK Seven Championship UK specification car.
The car has a Ford Duratec 2.0 litre engine which has been tuned by Caterham Motorsport.
This results in 180bhp, which paired with a sequential gear box, one seat and slick tyres gives you supercar performance.
Todays footage was genuinely the first time I had seen the car since it was built by DPR Motorsport and my first time in the car.
This was only my second time at @msvcircuits Brands Hatch and it was on the Indy layout, which I will be racing later in the year.
In the morning we focused on the shake down, which was just checking everything was operating as expected and progressively building up to race pace.
The session which I have uploaded is a full push session, but as you can see I am a little off Championship pace at the moment, but I have plenty of time before gridding up.

Superb pal and good luck for your first venture into racing. Hope you enjoy it to the full and come out a winner. I have a Westy myself and love a trackday and equally a very early Sunday morning blast.

What tracks do you tend to visit on your days? Nothing better than seeing a Westfield blatting along a country road 🏎🚀
@@DMAcidRacing It will be my first one in a car so Mallory is very close and a nice easy track to get out on. Donington 17 miles away too so that's another tick.
Would love a go at Bedford Autodrone but noise limits put me off at only 88db.

@@anmaruberuss I've only done Mallory once when I had my 600LT and was very grateful for the amount of grass at Gerards after I sent it too hard and couldn't make the turn 🤦🏼♂
My first race is at Donington weekend 23/24 March, however its due to be streamed by the organisers.
