So happy to find this. I took this vicarious trip over and over when this was on Netflix, while undergoing chemotherapy. I felt as if I were there, and it took me outside my illness.
@Elliot Joseph 100% a scam. Do not go to this website. We have been so inspired by slow tv channels that we now make natural sound 4k walk through's of cities. Channels such as yours are a really important antidote to the muzak filled, fast pace of most travel video's on youtube, so thank you, we will certainly be back for more.
First saw this on Netflix several years ago and absolutely loved it. When it went off Netflix I was excited when I found it on YT. The excitement lasted until I started watching it. All the interviews are gone; interesting historical info about the locks; the great Norwegian music played during the long open water times - all gone. The scenery is still beautiful, but for those experiencing it here on YT for the first time - you're missing much of what made this so superb. It's gone from fascinating and beautiful to beautiful.
@@Norsk1969 I was referring to the fact that as originally shown there was spoken commentary, music, etc. All this YT offering has is the video - which is still admittedly beautiful. Just missing a lot
I've seen other Scandinavians make fun of these long train and boat videos. But I think they're great. Norway...What a beautiful country! I've only been there once. Saw the Fjords. Saw the Big Cities. But OBVIOUSLY missed the beautiful country side shown on this video. I ONLY wish, although I'm not sure if CZcams would allow it or could technically handle it, that they use a 360 degree camera so we could check out the views to the left and right as well as straight ahead. But be that as it may, this video is STILL a master piece!
Just watched this on TV in Australia. What a beautiful trip that would be. The only thing that would've made it perfect would be to hear Angelina Jordan singing in the background!! Norway looks like such a beautiful country!! 😁
I work in a windowless basement but I do have a 50inch TV in my little closet office & slow TV & drone fly overs cheer me up during the work day...sad I know...
Wow! Norway is so beautiful. I would love to visit one day. Due to weather, I’m forced to work from home today and decided to find a long video to play on my tv just to have something running and found this video. It’s actually distracting. I can’t take my eyes off the beautiful scenery. Quick question... does this ship often receive this type of reception or was this a special occasion or National celebration of some sort? I’d love to ride this ship through the locks one day. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
I'd sure like to go there and take this trip. Absolutely beautiful! And I love the 2 boats, MS Victoria and MS Henrik Ibsen. Wonderful what they've done with them! Anyone know if they have a large model of them?
This is an amazing video. Was it a special occasion for so many people to be out cheering for the Victoria? I loved all the happy maskless faces and flags. Such patriotism! Thank you for publishing this. It warmed my heart.

There was a fim crew onboard from national TV, fillming the whole trip live. Locals had arranged like a festival the whole day along the route, with different activites beside the boat trip that attracted lots of people. It was a good opportunity to market the region for tourism

They didn't like to leave, mostly) See your point) Yeah, difficult economical times, as we know, there were too little available farmland left in Norway back then when most people lived of farming. That ship looks an aweful lot like a boat we used to have here in Victoria BC Canada. But it was a side wheeler called the Beaver
I like the doors and how they open at the bottom to equalize the water level. I always thought they opened like normal door. LoL

There is a metal pipe in the right front of the ship that one of the crew is frequently adjusting.
