This really caught my eye! I have been wearing a pair of J. Jill ponte pants for most of 10 years and I have always wished I had more of them. This style really is good for everything! Knowing that you've vetted a ponte really helps, too. I need to check that out! 😁

What fabric would be needed here to make a muslin? I've made dance costume pieces, but never sewn anything for myself to wear outside of performing, is this good for a beginner?
Definitely beginner friendly! You would want to use a stable knit, preferably on the thicker side
Pockets. Don't give me that adding bulk bs. Being an experienced sewest I can add my own, but the pattern should have the option.
Enough for car keys, an ID, and a bank card, AT LEAST.
It was a design choice to add to the streamlined look.
Yes I agree a little pocket in the front at the top big enough for CC and keys is necessary please can you just give us that option? I’d never make them without that 😫
How about just wearing a small cross body bag? That’s what I do even when my trousers have pockets. I won’t be adding a pocket to Onyx. Sleek is a good look 😅
Hoping someone makes a hack with a pocket because I’m not experienced enough to do it myself. 😂
