    Its a good cheap light to use while you learn. They do have a staying on issue after a few months. Some of the leds stay on. Generally its fine for a 2x2 or 2 for 3x3. Expect to change lights after about 12 months. The uv in this light actually works. Used properly you can get dense buds from this light due to how good the spectrum is.

    Good for a 2x2 max for flower anything bigger it wont have enough par to cover the hole canopy and the flowers wont get big and dense they will be airy not solid. You could vege a 3x3 area because during vege you need alot less par 300 to 500 par is plenty. This light will work good in a 2x2 for flower on max you could dial down the dimmer to 50 or 75% for vege. This is just a cheap Chinese led grow light im not sure the diodes they use but at 130 watts from the wall dont matter if they use newer samsung lm301h diodes or new osrams still only good for 2x2 for best results. Its a older style growlight due to tiny heatsinks that need a fan to cool. All the first generation grow lights that used the old epistar diodes looked like this. Hopefully it does not have old epistar diodes as all the old lights like this had low par/ ppfd avaraged about 1.6 umol/j judging by the color cri i doubt they have epistar diodes because they typically had a mix of reds and blue diodes 660s and 450nm which gave a purple pink tint. They probably use samsung lm218b diodes a good diode common today on budget led brands capable of growing good cannabis/ flowers just a step below the samsung lm301b and samsung lm301h. Hope that helps someone.

    Probably closer to between 400w and 600w equivalent in MH/HPS then if it draws 130w. 200watt range is where you start to be comparable to a 1000w mh/hps, no?

    Would you recommend the 1000 for flowering?

      I have successfully flowered a small/medium plant with this light in this small tent: amzn.to/4408c7j.; if you can get the buds about a foot away from the light within a month of harvest you should get some nice buds. I would prob use 2 for these lights to flower in a 32x32 tent like this one to maximize the space: amzn.to/3YuKTkV , but you could probably get away with 1.

      I’ve used these lights for 4 grows in the past year and currently right now I have 2 600 and 2 1000 and I’ve flowered 9 plants in a 4 by 4 under this under 2 1000 watt lights and got over a half pound . I normally wouldn’t crowd my tent like that but I wanted to see the capability of the light . Then I flowered 6 plants in 5 gal pots under 2 1000 watts and got the same amount .

    Is it actually 1000 watts out the wall?

    Their instructions for hanging with the ratchet rope are non-existent. There aren't even any pictures. They crop every photo they have below the ratchet. And your video did the same. Do you have to feed the open end of the rope through the ratchet or what? And what are you clipping it to at the top?

      Never mind I figured it out from the video on your website. It wasn't identical, but it was close enough to get me there. Thanks

    only 130w light not 1000w, would save my money and buy a light that'll works.

      The light is very bright and I was able to flower successfully with one of these in a small tent.; I think its 1000w equivalent brightness but takes a lot less energy which is good. You'll def get better results flowering with a more expensive light or 2 of these running at the same time but I have found them more than adequate for vegging.

      @@MakeWeedNotWar 1000 is just the name, the wattage should show on the product. all light companies do that. it's probably 100 watts or something that small.

    • @MakeWeedNotWar
      @MakeWeedNotWar  Před 8 měsíci +4

      @@WintJames Yeah Amazon says Incandescent equivalent 1000 Watts, so they are just trying to compare to the old school incandescent light brightness. It says 130W as @bliffnode mentioned. Thank goodness these lights don't take that much wattage since they would cost a lot more to run and blow out my fuse :). My bigger "2000w" ligts use about 200w...

    Does it have a timer? i.e can I let it shine for a certain amount of time and it'll automatically turn off?

    • @MakeWeedNotWar
      @MakeWeedNotWar  Před 2 měsíci

      No, you need to buy the timer separately but they are cheap: howgrowweed.com/BuyOutletTimers
