no one really mentions this, but i really appreciate how George was ready to tell Charlotte about sex before it happened. Cuz remember, women didn't know anything about sex until they were married, and i like how George was going to educate charlotte if she didnt know before they actually did anything

Actually the real George and Charlotte didn't waste food. They fed the entire household. So none of that food got thrown away.
Charlotte was in an arranged marriage at 17. By the time she made her sons get married, they were in their late 40's/50's. They should have been stricter on those kids when they were younger.

@@jeslycruz Exactly! ❤️❤️❤️ That's also the reason Charlotte and Agatha created the Season, so no other young ladies have to be sold off like they are. Lady Whistledown complains about the marriage season rituals, but at least young ladies have some chance of choosing a man they can love who doesn't have one foot in the grave. Because of that setup, Daphne managed to get out of that disgusting match Anthony made. If she had been like Queen Charlotte or Lady Danbury, she would have just been taken to her wedding with that gross thing and forced to marry him sight unseen.
Yes, consummating the marriage was a really big deal back then. A marriage was invalid if not consummated. Remember the dowager princess said there were 7 people watching her on her wedding night to make sure they consummated. During her time that was the norm. So, since times have changed and they can't watch anymore they are freaking out over not knowing whether they did it or not.

I never understood why they would have all of the food in the middle of this long ass table, but have them seated on opposite sides. like the closest thing in front of her requires her to reach over😭also, i would DEMAND for the servents to seat and eat with me, like what are they gonna do....FIRE ME🤭😭
14:20 yes it was normal back then, but he isn't that much older than her, like maybe 4-5 years (but of course today that would be an issue)

Yeah, men and women in that time period changed clothes multiple times a day
They had a morning dress, a day dress, and an evening gown... The men basically just had to change their jackets... But yeah, so they were like changing their clothes three times a day cuz that was just what royal people did back then. All about daily rituals.
