  • Millions of couples deal with infertility and more are turning to science in the hope of growing their families. The latest U.S. statistics show that in 2021, in vitro fertilization resulted in the births of more than 86,000 or two percent of babies nationwide.
    Amidst growing debate over IVF, a lesser-known option called embryo adoption is also gaining ground.
    For ten years Rodney and Mary Leah Miller struggled to have a family.
    "Attempt after attempt, negative pregnancy test after negative pregnancy test, you begin to wonder, will this ever happen for us," Mary Leah told CBN News.

The crazy thing is, is that it changed their path of where they would’ve been and the spouse that they should’ve had but will never have bc of fate . I have to question, as a Christian, wouldn’t it make more sense to adopt children who already breathing and walking the Earth without parents? Morally, we need to ask why people are choosing to adopt frozen embryos, but not choosing to adopt infants and children without parents? Is it out of a selfish desire? Is it out of pride or wanting to give birth? Both of the children are not genetically yours so why not adopt children that are breathing and walking the earth? I have to say, Christian seem to give the unborn more attention than the born.

      That’s a great thought to consider. Did you know there are multiple families waiting in line for each adoption eligible child in the US? However there are millions of frozen embryos in a kind of limbo that have a right to life too. IVF creates humans and leaves them on ice indefinitely or discards them like trash. Let’s celebrate that people like these in the video are moved to stand in to give the frozen embryos a chance to have a life instead of being destroyed or forever on ice.

  • @carybeth
    @carybeth Před měsícem +4

    I see a lot of people discussing adopting born children instead of pre born children in the frozen embryonic state. I want to share a different perspective for everyone who is thinking this out:
    There are multiple families waiting in line for each adoption eligible child in the US. So even if you desired to adopt a born child, you may never be selected due to the great multitude stepping in to adopt.
    Foster care is also a great need for Christian families to step in the gap and help displaced children and youth. But the majority of these kids aren’t eligible for adoption. And that’s a good thing, because the goal of foster care is to reunite families. So those with a heart to adopt are not typically the best fit for fostering.
    The sad reality is there are millions of frozen embryos in a kind of limbo that have a right to life too. IVF creates humans and leaves them on ice indefinitely or discards them like trash. It’s not the easy way to adopt or a way to “play biological parent”. So instead of saying “whatabout”, let’s celebrate that people like these in the video are moved to stand in to give the frozen embryos a chance to have a life instead of being destroyed or forever on ice.
    Everybody has a different calling and path to walk. Embryos being adopted is reason to celebrate as a Christian!

    It is lovely that this couple was able to be blessed with children through IVF. If this same ending could be repeated for all the other frozen children (that’s what they are in God’s eyes) then maybe we might be able to excuse this practice at least up to the present time. But we can’t. So, going forward it would be best to focus on getting the other “frozens” adopted and then stopping IVF. The fact it results in the destruction of some innocent human life is all the Christian needs to understand in order to realize this practice really isn’t of God.
