  • This Vintage Airstream Tour is unique because for some weird reason whoever owned it had NEVER USED the fridge, stove or bathroom! I just don't get it but hey to each his own, right. Anyways, she's a beaut with lots of original features.

    The wood. The cabinets and cupboards and closets. The formica counter top. The original gas stove with original fixtures. This is truly a work of art.
    It would make me weep when I think about what this beauty would have sold for originally.
    I'm still trying to wrap my head around why the original owner would not have used the fridge, stove or bathroom. The fridge and stove part is relatively easy. They just ate out when traveling.
    But the bathroom?
    Must have had the staying power of a camel. 😁

      She sure is a real beaut! We loved it. As for why someone would not have used parts of it I can not even begin to guess but I know we would have used it for sure. I guess some people buy things just because they are unique and then try to keep them like that. Who knows. Glad you enjoyed seeing it. Thanks for watching

    What a gem. It's like art on wheels.

      They have taken such care to preserve and refresh these RVs and they have been doing it a long time. I agree they are like art on wheels.

    Why didn't you open the fridge and give a better shot of the bathroom and bedroom?

    I bet towing something that big in 1955 was an adventure in itself

      @DoesSizeMatter  Před 3 lety +1

      Indeed it would have been. Have you seen the Lucy and Dezi episode where they tow a trailer up hill? That's what we think it would be like haha. Thanks for watching.

    A proper airstream. Hate the modern ones.

    Hi Do you remember what model or floorplan it was by any chance? (as only mentioned 1955 airstream)... really like the layout and that would certainly help for a redo...Thanks...

      Unfortunately, we do not. We filmed this at Jack Seismore's RV Museum in Amarillo, TX they may have more info for you on it. Also a great resource that knows a lot about Airstream Renos is @trailertrashin, they are pros and know a lot. Check out the one we filmed with them czcams.com/video/AnxjuaSxULc/video.html or get in touch with Mark who did everything himself on his Airstream restoration which we filmed here czcams.com/video/hDD68r6iDT4/video.html Either of these folks would be good resources for you depending on how you want to do yours. Hope that helps you out. Thanks for watching.

      We suggest you watch many many more of our reviews and you will see the difference between an RV from a dealership or a RV Show and one found in an museum. Thanks for watching.
