This was one of the most requested comparisons of all time. For those interested I hope it was helpful.
Looking at both these weapons we can see that they are very similar to each other. But they have a few aspects that separates them.
- Molot T has more range (300m more)
- Molot T is more accurate than Punisher T making it a more effective weapon at this range interval: 300-800m
- Molot T has much less capacity, fires slower and unloads faster
- Capacity: 70 rounds | Max RPS: 6.2 bullets/sec
On the other hand,
- Punisher T has less range and it is less accurate but at brawling ranges < 300m it is more effective due its bullet spread getting reduced which in return increases it potential damage output
- Punisher T unloads around 3.5 seconds longer but has much higher capacity and fires more rapidly
- Capacity: 220 rounds | Max RPS: 15 bullets/sec
- Has 2x higher clip damage than Molot T
Both these tier 1 starter weapons with the cheapest upgrade time and cost in the game can be great choices depending on your playstyle. For brawling and maximum amount of firepower Punisher T is the best option. For keeping the distance between your target and doing decent damage Molot T works well - on open maps with lockdown ammo especially.

I’m in champion, been here for a long time, and I run a lot of “tier 1” weapons still. Punishers/TPunishers/Avengers still hurt a lot. Molots/TMolots/Tempest hurt more. Reason I say this is there are a players who run molot family weapons at range and it hurts faster trying to close in on them. Being said punisher family weapons need quick bots to get into optimal ranges and are exposed to CQC builds for too long sometimes. Best bot for punisher family is Leech, Au Jun, Spectre, Blitz, Ravana and even Hiachi. T-Falcon is not included because of only single slot... Best Molot family bots are anything, just don’t expect stellar damage. I run just about anything at different times but the molot family is best at keeping Titans at bay. My builds are all designed to really hurt Titans first, smash regular bots second. Happy hunting :)
I ran a molot/tempest/Leo with lock down module for a while that I would bring out as soon as the Titans spawned. It could do a fair amount of damage, but more than that it just annoyed them to no end to the point where other bots could get in on them.

@Khb 888 with a fujin keep ranged weapons: the ancile immobilizes you and mobility is key as you advance. I finally built out a mk2-12 molot2 leech with the freeze module and steadily built leveled up a pilot with molot2 damage skills. At 620m it’ll still wreck at least half the health of a max level Ao Ming. For your fujin range is your best option given all the closer range energy weapons that bypass the built in Ancile
May I ask that how should I use Zues, I bought 1 but I don't know how to use it now, my Leo is Punisher n Advenger

I run molots on my Ares usually get 3 to 4 kills with that set up.

That first battle resulting in a victory really depended on the rest of the team capping beacons. My experience has been that a lot of players just wimp out when it comes to capping a beacon. That second battle had probably one of the worst maps to run molot T on, but I am going to have to assume you recorded several battles before you had one that could be posted that it was relevant in the battle.

Molots are HORRIBLE weapons. They need a serious buff. Increased damage and increased ammo capacity would do the Molots some good. Also they should make a legendary pilot for the spectre which increases the stealth duration when it lands. Punisher T performs great and in many past videos, I have been surprised by it's performance compared to other weapons. Also did you notice they added a kill count under your healthbar like in FFA, I didnt. Great video by the way.

Yeah, I didn't know what to reffer to these 800 meter weapons so i just called them molots. All of them suck.
Molots aren’t bad though... everything above 175m it performs better than punisher T. And they are really good for killing titans
1) Molot & punisher line needs better sharpshooter skill buff;
2) Keep molot line ammo as is, but reduce reload to 7 secs;
3) Reverse spectre nerf. 55 speed, 4 secs stealth after landing, 18 secs ability recharge.
For their respective tiers they are decent weapons in my opinion. But relative to other top performing weapons in upper leagues yep they are not good at all.
If it were for me as a machinegun lover I would love to see them getting a serious buff, unfortunately I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Hey AYGIR, I just got a ares recently and was wondering if Molots would be good for it. Since ares is better at long range than brawling. Molots and Molot T’s are at 10 and my Ares is at level 6.
Yes they are completely good I run molot t on my griffin and he performs very well.

Of course the Molot T have more damage and longer range than the punisher T. It is one of my favorite weapon of choice.

Cataclysm is the best weapon for titans
You have not accounted for combat damage, when you stop and fire the molot the initial firing deals lesser damage for the molot T, which you can actually see in short range.
If you run molots on your bots you are the war robots equivalent of a default

Both are very very similar weapons with range and accuracy being the biggest difference, I guess it boils down to the map you play in, but I would have to say that molots are DEFINITELY better, simply because as seen in the test, molots are better than punishers from around 250 range and higher and no matter what map you play, I’m sure 250 range is not a range you get very often,let alone lower, unless you have a mobile bot that easily gets itself in close range combat, but even then, we cannot forget that molots can still deal very good damage at 800 range! Which simply just crushes the punishers

If its very hard to make a choice between punisher T and Molot T, just run both. Run punisher T on the side and molot T on the top and it does a lot of damage Ive tried it

In high leagues punishers are useless since both molots and punishers are weak compared to different set ups and with punishers you need to be about 200 meters away to do full damage which is range of sonic weapons I don't think u would like that

i like T ounishers beter cus in close range its a HUGGEE beast molot is just for sniping and punisher is better at breaking sheilds at close range if i buy another griffin im running it with molot setup for killing titans at long range if my titan dies or nit yet chagred even killed arthur at 450 meters
