  • Software is Grace Slick's 1984 album released by RCA Records. This album was recorded after she had re-joined Jefferson Starship. After working on this album, Peter Wolf would go on to contribute to Jefferson Starship's 1984 album, Nuclear Furniture. A music video was made for the single "All the Machines". "Software" is Grace Slick's fourth and final solo album

    Iv been a fan of Jefferson A and S since 1989. I was 12. Iv had this album on vinyl since a few years after that ….. i’ve never listened to this album. I just assumed it was terrible.
    I LOVE THIS TUNE! And Can totally hear Paul singing on the chorus. Catchy tune.

    ‘Call it right, call it wrong’ is also stellar...and even more relevant now than it was back then.

    I was so into into this sound between 1980 and 1985. If Brian Eno ,The Talking Heads or Laurie Anderson sang this it would be "normal" but because Grace was more known for her past rock persona it wasn't as acceptable to the JA crowd

    • @NickSBailey
      @NickSBailey Před 2 lety

      that might be the problem though Laurie Anderson and quite a few others got there first, there's nothing new in this Kraftwerk had already been doing music with strong technological-based themes for over a decade by then, big fan of Grace Slick but this isn't her most original, not bad though
