This will be my first winter fishing, just got into it this summer/fall. And still haven’t caught anything. Come Jan. 1st I’ll get my fishing license and try out other places but so far at my local permit only required lakes I’ve not yet caught anything. For the summer/fall so far I’ve loved trying to fish using frogs, whopper ploppers, worms/senkos/stickbaits, craws/beaver tails/brush hogs, flukes, and the chatter bait. With trout fishing I’ve tried powerbait dough bait chartreuse & like a pink rainbow, in-line spinners, lost my Jake’s spin-a-lure - it was probably too big anyways and had the wrong sort of snap swivel attached to it, and casting spoons. My daughter has tried for blue gill fishing night crawlers, corn, and Slim Jim’s. We will keep at it and one of these days we’ll catch something. We love the outdoors, enjoying God’s natural beauty he created in this world, almost like a love letter to us like His Word. I think for winter my go to baits I’ll try to use are swim baits, lipless cranks, Chatterbaits, flukes, swimming worms, fat ikas, and jerkbaits.

Tyler I’ve been hooked on your fishing videos for about 18 months. We are planning to move just east of San Antonio this year as out kids live in Hollywood Park. I want to be out by some lakes to fish as I’m retired. Just refurbished my 1990 Kingfisher Bass boat. New power heat on a 200 Mercury and new carpet installed by me and 2 Garmin 9S/V fish finders and a new 70 # thrust trolling motor. I got started fishing tournament style I the late 90s. And totally loved it. We were involved with CMA motorcycle association for years but now into more fishing. Our granddaughter graduated from Norte Damn so she could go to school and practice her faith. And the same thing as she is about to graduate from Crieton medical school in Nebraska. If you’re close to that area I’d love to hit one of the lakes with you or have you go with me on the old horse and visit a lake near me. Good luck in all you’re ventures.

There's a lot more than five baits I would bring but if I only had to bring five. Blade bait, finesse jig, jerkbait, lipless, Ned rig, If I was able to bring more than five I would add. Zoom z craw, drop shot, live target goby, castmaster, rapala shad rap 07, rapala glass rap, Finesse worms, rage swimmers, storm arashi flat 7, medium to deep diveing crankbaits, gulp minnows. All that and I probably still will struggle to catch a fish lol.

I've had a lot of luck on float an fly in river an Creek also dams were I live in W.Va. in winter.
