- *EDIT: DON’T FORGET TO TURN ON BATTERY SAVER FROM THE SAME CONTROL CENTER AS WHERE YOU TOGGLE WI-FI AND BLUETOOTH ON THE TASKBAR**
Thanks for watching! If you have any ideas on what I should make a video about next, let me know in the comments below, and if you enjoyed this video please like and subscribe. Your view is dearly appreciated (':
Using these settings, I was able to go from 3-4 hours of battery to 6-8 hours of battery under light usage so I hope they work for you just as well!! Hope you enjoyed and Subscribe for the next one! - Jak na to + styl
These were some genuinely helpful tips, coming from a guy who has worked in IT for 20 years. Most tips I've found are just standard info, but the regedit tip to find that option, the easy way to switch 60 hz/120 hz, and the combination of options both in Windows and the Armoury Crate was great. Keep up the good work!
Thx man your videos are amazing and very useful. I wish you success in your youtube career !
Hey bro!
I do that all things from couples post and comment's from reedit, thank you for scaling all tips in one short good instructions film! 🙌🙌
Great vid man
You deserve more subs
Great idea
great presentation!
OMG LOVE YOU BRO MY G14 went from 1hour battery life on 100%!! To 5 hours 30 mins and its only on 77%!!!!!🎉🎉🎉 and the regedit tip bro my graphics switching was stuck on aggressive now it’s disabled somebody give him a medal these are real tips!!!
Also important to note that eco mode won’t work with external displays, however using one will leave your laptops screen off, also good.
Excellent set of vids, I've had this G14 since November and learned a lot. I have a quick question for you. Have you changed modern standby at all? I found a guide online but it just removed the ability to sleep and did not change it to the old mode of closing the laptop and then actually staying asleep. all the best man
Tyvm !
Thank you
can you please do the same guide for strix devices?
I think you can also reduce refresh rate from 165 to 60 hz. visual difference should be minimal
Amazing! So basically if I set up all those setting when not plugged in, it will only apply those adjustments when am on battery?
I have a question, do these settings only apply to being on battery? So can you combine this video and the temp reducer video? This for on battery and that for plugged in? How'd you do that?
I almost sold my Razer 17 3070TI to buy this, it has that cuteness effect…but I gave up on that idea 💻
Why doesn't my display flash when switching refresh rates?? It only flashes black sometimes, something wront wid it?
Another thing, do you guys know weather I should place a 80% battery cap, I use my laptop as a desktop replacement when am at home. But I use it outside quite often
thanks for the video. I'm about to purchase one of these and I was wondering how much battery life I can keep out of it. I'm talking everyday use (web browsing, streaming, reading Kindle app/comments) if using the setting in the video? I do game a little, but I'm not to worried about battery life there.
I get around 7-8 hours doing similar tasks although decently long breaks in between so I’d expect probably 6-7 hours depending on how much streaming you’re doing
Hey bro, amazing video- great job!
I have a question, though.
How can I make eco mode turn on once the laptop is unplugged?
Thanks!
use the optimized option, it switches to eco when on battery, and when plugged in it uses standard.
Hey I did a clean boot so I don't have "Panel Overdrive" and "Panel Power Saver" options like yours as well as the info on my display like yours mine just says Internal Display. Know what I can do to get those options back?
Download and install this driver: dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/Image/Software/SoftwareandUtility/14222/ASUSSmartDisplayControl_V2.6.13_14222_1.zip?model=ROG%20Zephyrus%20G14%202022%20GA402
I would also download the MyASUS app from the Microsoft store and check for updates just to make sure you have any other drivers you may be missing
My refresh rate doesn't auto switch.
I'm not sure why but I don't have the "switchable graphics" in edit power plan even though I was able to get "processer performance boost mode" after changing the number to 2
same
mine is the opposite issue. I have "switchable graphics" option but not a "processor performance boost mode" option.
Regardless this be a gaming laptop... i got this laptop for all features wich it offers, including the battery life, i use 70% for study and 30% for gaming. I like how versatile this laptop is.
Edit: I'm not using the armory crate, instead i use the G-Helper, is more lite, and consumes less resources, like ram.
I know it's been 11 months, but I just want to make sure that if I have my laptop plugged in, do all my settings turn back to what it was before when it was plugged in? Or do I have to go back into everything and change it back to what it was before? I sure hope not, because that would take a long time! Thanks for the video anyways. Not really expecting an answer since it's been so long.
I have since passed down my g14 but as long as they haven’t updated the software in some weird way it should save separate settings for while plugged in and while on battery and will switch between the two automatically as long as you save the settings.
When you do want that extra performance back do you have to undo all of this the same way or can you just use the armory crate and go back to performance or turbo mode?
Most of the settings will go back one on power again but if your on battery, yes just switch to performance and you should be good for the most part
Would you say this model is still worth it for 2022? The new models seem to get more expensive every generation
For 2024* meant the model of it lol
Yes, I use it as my daily device
do these tips work on the 2023 version or no ?
Power options+screen refresh rate+ power options worked for me
I mean also silent mode too
when i go to battery saver mode, youtube videos will stutter randomly at a moderate frequency. anyone else have this issue?
that might be an issue with your browser, disable hardware acceleration in your browsers settings and see if that helps.
@@Medeci thank you for the advice, I will attempt this.
My refresh rate stays the same when I plug it back in.
same for me. did you solve it?
not where i expected to hear brakence tbh!
