- Have some buttons that you never use on your ATEM switcher? Here's how you can reprogram them to do something useful!
1. Use Bitfocus Companion to create triggers that listens to state changes from your ATEM.
2. Use MixEffect and its HTTP Feedback Server to send state changes to Companion.
3. Detect when the Picture in Picture, Transition Pattern, Transition DVE, and Duration buttons are pressed on the ATEM.
4. Add actions to perform when these conditions are triggered in Companion

Hello~
I have the question.
Just like I push right transition button.
Why ATEM won't do the right transition action ,and it will do what we want.
Is the any way to let ATEM not run defualt action?
Or we don't need to set any thing?
thx
There is no way to prevent the ATEM from running the default action. It's built into the hardware, and we can't change that. This is why you would use this method on buttons that you never use.
When you use video follows audio, can you overwrite the switching and force a certain angle by pressing the button on the atem manually?
There's a feature in the VFA settings for each audio input where you can specify inputs on program that you don't want VFA to work on. So, if there's a camera angle that you don't want VFA to operate, add that to your list. Otherwise, I would use the VFA button to turn the entire feature off.
must you have the other softwares (companion and mixeffect) on whilst you’re live each time for this to work?
Yes. If you have an Apple Silicon Mac, you can run MixEffect alongside Companion. Or, if you don't want to run MixEffect, you can see if the ATEM Module for Companion has the variables and conditions you require. There is overlap between the ATEM Module and the MixEffect module, but there are some that one has and the other doesn't (and vice versa).
