- Brad Pitt reveals which movies made him cry and talks more about which sad scene from How To Train Your Dragon and Life as a House had him crying.
Transcript
I'm not much of a crier at films.
I'll tear up every now and then, but not much of a crier.
Recently, How To Train Your Dragon did get me.
In the end, he's lost his leg,
and they're living in harmony with the dragons,
that was, uh, it got me.
I'mma give you one more, I'mma give you a story, okay?
This was a time when I actually wept at a film.
I was coming back from Cabo and I had to go to Montreal.
Montreal?
I think Montreal.
I'm not really sure where I was.
And I got hit with Montezuma's Revenge.
I could not keep anything down.
And I was stuck in this hotel room,
with no windows, oddly enough,
and I uh, just,
doing what you do.
And it became, it was on day two of this extremely
painful
episode,
and this film came on called, um, uh,
I think it's called,
it's a Kevin Kline movie.
To Build a House?
And he's terminal.
Well, he's an architect and he's terminal.
He decides he's gonna finish this house and reconcile,
he's estranged from his son, his teenage son.
I don't know if it would still hit me the same way,
but you know, on my th hour of,
of, uh, just pure wretchedness this movie crushed me.
Just crushed me.
What he was saying to his son and um,
in fact, I should see it again
and see if it has the same effect.

Brad Pitt Reveals Which Movies Made Him Cry | W Magazine - Zábava
everything is classier in black and white
+blah Unless you're looking at drinking fountains, bathrooms, buses, and theatres in the 50s.
Word
That opening scene to Pixar’s “UP” has not yet failed to make me bawl my eyes out.
For me what gets me even more in that movie is when Carl is at the falls and reads through her adventure book and sees she filled it with there life together, and then writes to him saying he should go have another adventure
Yes!!! Always makes me cry.
What really make me cry too is the movie Lion. The ending gets me all the time.
Yeah the scene where he’s going through her scrap book is what really hits me in the heart…
Brad Pitt was talking about "LIfe as a House," and it is a FANTASTIC movie. Unless you have a heart of complete and utter stone, you will cry at this movie! BTW, Kevin Kline ROCKS in everything he does!
"I wasn't trying to get you to like me. I was trying to get you to love me."
-Kevin Kline, "Life as a House"
Atonement! That's one beautiful, underrated film! Gets me every time!
+Michael Kupfer omg same, makes me so angry as well tho
I was going to comment the same movie
Cried like a baby with that movie!!and I'm not even a crier.
Only made me angry.
Um, pretty sure he's talking about the film "Life As A House" by Irwin Winkler. This film stars Kevin Kline. The film you're all referring to, does not.
The movie he's referring to is "Life as a House."
Thanks
Aye great film, Kevin Cline and Haden Christensen broke my heart in that...
He's talking about a scene with Kevin Kline and Hayden Christensen. Christensen put in a great performance in this movie which probably really helped him get the Anakin Skywalker role.
Star Wars Nerd Here. Judging by the release time and $27 Million Budget, compared to the $115 Million and the intricacies in any of the Prequels, I would suspect Hayden filmed AOTC before Life as a House. Like how Mark Hamill was an uknown before Episode IV, George wanted to cast an unknown actor for the role of the of the Skywalker.
AOTC wrapped in early 2000 and spent almost 2 years in editing. Life as a House was probably shot in Summer or Autumn 2000, and edited throughout 2001 and released at a bad time, October 2001.
@@andrewwinslow9315 Fair enough. Thanks for the comment.
Brad Pitt talking about his diarrhea as "Montezuma's revenge" is the smoothest thing ever
Not many people can talk about that without making everyone gag.
What's "Montezuma's revenge"?
@@Cin3mattic
Haven't you heard? It's racist.
Jeff B how is it racist?montezumas revenge is travellers diarriah
"Smoothest thing ever.." hahaha smooth as liquid XD haha
THE GREEN MILE! I cried a lot
SAME
“I’m tired boss...”
Me too
Same😭
Schindler's List. "Whoever saves one life saves the world entire" crushed me
Yeeees.
Mine was Shawshank. The ending was perfect.
I saw the movie at Huntington Beach in a theatre semi full.
Sat next to a white lady. The ending where they brought the real people placing stones on the grave. When the kid who jumped into the bucket of sewage now grown middle age adult placed that rock and I can see how grateful he was just broke me. I was weeping. And the lady next to me gently placed her hand on top of me also in tears. Love fr India
Knock U Out When I watched Schindler’s List, I started criying in the end when Liam starts crying about not saving a few people more. Like if he sold the car, he could have paid for a few more. That scene is heart breaking..
The only movie that made me weep like I lost a loved one. Actually I’ve lost loved ones and haven’t cried like that before. All those people that died for nothing. His realization that he might’ve saved more. If he would’ve started trading his personal items he would’ve been discovered and probably executed. Crushes my soul.
LIFE AS A HOUSE!!!!!
aawww he's talking about Life as a House. I love that movie :D
I cried my eyes out in "Million Dollar Baby"^^
Who couldn't love Hilary swanks character right?
+sle viiin I'm also..
+sle viiin Yeah, that was a good one.
+Butters Stotch so i probably am the only one who did not get the ending. tho i truly upset when her neck hits that chair
that was crap
Life is Beautiful. Damn what a movie.
Siiii
Curious case of Benjamin Button made me cry like a lil bitch even though im a 22 year old grown ass man.
+danteal0001 No offense, but at 22 you are an older child. Not even at 33. Life for a man starts with 40!
+danteal0001 It gets me every time! It really is something special. I can´t tell what it is exactly that makes it so special, but I think it is the plain finality of human life and the fates of so many people throughout the millenia that this movie makes me think of. Just a beautifully melancholic piece of art.
"So scared of getting older.
I'm only good at being young
So I play the numbers game
to find a way to say that life has just begun"
22 year old man ? wut
danteal0001 Sameeeeee, omgggggg, lol!
Your voice is tickling my brain.
I almost never cry but “Hachiko: a dog’s story” really got to me.
And for some odd reason I had a lot of Problems keeping it together while watching “click”.
Stig Lauren Same here man, but other people don’t really get it, they go like “you cried while watching an Adam Sandler movie?” 😂
That movie(hachi)got me too.couldnt stop crying the whole time
Same here."Oh you poor thing, your're still waiting"
Click destroyed me

What's the name of the movie?
+Brainbuster again, it's Life as a house. I really reccomend you to watch it, it's amazing
You say, "again," as if you named the movie in your original comment.
+Brainbuster Bro calm down, I corrected the name because I watched the movie like years ago and I forgot its name (and Brad did too) ...now if you wanna watch it you know the title✌️
So do I, I really liked it when I saw it many years ago. I remember I cried too.
yes life as a house is heart wrenching especially when they play that song by joni mitchell is it?
Yes! Life as a house! such an underrated movie!!!!
"Click" is what makes me cry, as it becomes more of a fact everyday..: it is the one that has harbored my greatest fear.
I think mainly when he realises what he turned into in the scene where he saw his dad for the last time
'How To Train Your Dragon' got me sentimental as well. And it keeps getting me every time I see it.
How to train your dragon is a beautiful movie, indeed.
He is so beautiful it's painful
My life as a house. Superb movie.
Life as a House. Good movie. Some pretty emotional material.

I love Life as a house!!! With Hayden Christensen!
its a totally under the radar movie for most people and I loved it. Kevin Klines best film. I heard a girl in university bring it up to a dude she was coming on to and i was like I saw that and loved it in my head but no one has heard of that film and felt how ironic i get shut down by girls in class and this one is rattleing off films dumb idiots have never heard of oh the irony. what gets me everytime is the tasters choice moment in good will hunting, that robin williams speech gets me e.t
I forgot about Life as a house with Hayden Christiansen. It is a tear jerker.
How to Train Your Dragon!!!! got me too! part two.... Flawless. Seems like Brad and me have a lot in common; not much of a cryer and like the HTTYD...
I think you should run away together.
I'm a teacher and he will always be my go-to "hot guy" example... But now when I mention him in my high school classes my studets say: "Brad who?" It breaks my heart a little.
Wait, why are you giving examples of “hot guys” to your high school students?
EddieMachetti lmao
Life as a house is my second favorite film ever ❤
It's "How to build a house," and it's one my most favorite films. Definitely justified with the weeping, lol
Life As a House and it's an awesome movie!
@@songbird989 lol your right. Life as a house, brilliant film
My dad is a real tough guy and I've only ever seen him cry once when watching a movie, and it was the end scene of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".

"This part of my life..this little part is called Happiness." I cry every time when watch this scene.
I think the part where he tells his son don't ever let anybody tell you you can't do something, not even me
The best drama I've ever seen.
The ending of The Wizard of Oz, and this scene from Return of the Jedi:
"I've got to save you."
"You already have, Luke."
I feel like he got his magic charm back after his divorce and being sober
This is made 7 years ago you know that right?
YES. YES. YES. Life as a House gets me every time.
He's right. To buld a house made me cry to. It's such a sad movie. Hayden Christensen is in it. And he's actually really good.
George Lucas sucks at Dialogue. That's why everyone thinks Hayden can't act.
Who is here after the video??
The Kevin Kline movie he's referring to is called "Life as a House".
