    I love the way the reel sounds so smooth 😆

    Yes it's fairly easy to cast 120 yards with most set up's but if the rod can do it accurately every time then fair play.

    I came back to this video, saying thank you.
    I bought the set - 3,6m 3 piece rod, the same reel and mono. I just got my first fishing with it, tested with a 12kg carb.
    The fishing line is the best I used, I will change to it on my other reels too. The rod is awesome, now I can easily reach the distance I need yet its still pretty light.
    The reel works well, however I am not liking the clutch - its too many turns to get loose, but too little to set from medium to high. I can make it work, maybe I will get used to it.
    Although, this set is premium for this price, I can recommend 100%!

    Another fantastic video well done Ed and the guys at carpology. I use the 13ft c series myself and to be honest I have to remind myself the rod is budget level as it performs so well 👍👍🎣🎣🎣

    People forget there's all through action ,semi fast action and fast action .all through for short to medium distance.semi fast for medium to long range and fast action for long to extreme range.

    Enjoyed the video of course, but I do think you should of cast both 3.5 & 4 oz leads on both rods and from the bank only? Only constructive criticism though, as said enjoyed the vid and most previous reviews too (Apart from the electric water pump 😂🤭) 👌

    I use 25 pounds setup and cast 120+ yards so it really doesnt matter it just has to be carp rod and big reel 0.3 main 0.28 braided shockleader

    Accuracy is everything , line diameter is key and I could do 120 with .3 line on my 3.25 tc rods granted my reels cost 250 never mind the rods but they are accurate

    I guess the question is how many times can a rod of that quality take those casts before it loses its action or breaks.

    .30 line which isn’t practical on most venues, leader or no leader. No rig which will slow it down 15/20%. It’s not really a fair comparison

    I'm looking for an upgrade without breaking the bank but currently torn between the the C series and the vaderx Rs rods would vader rods compare or would these prologics be a better option for distance casting ? Carpology legends please help!!! 🙏

    • @itanamullik
      @itanamullik Před 2 lety

      Yes go for shimano... vader xs are OK for 5lb-15lb carp but don't expect to cast with them shimabo tx2 on other hand will cast big solid bags with ease and also made for 20lb-40lb carp

  • @ttrcaster
    @ttrcaster Před 2 lety

    Just to be correct
    The ballistic distance the lead traveled is 157 yards,not distance out of the bank
    Tournament casters using teardrop leads ,never seen that
    Wet line ,drops distance
    Minima guides are no good for distance ,are we going back to the past ,60 years ago
    The idea of the video is good
    Tournament casters will eyebrow a bit

    12lb main line on a 8000 reel with a 18lb shock leader... Why? And the hole point of ceramic guides is stop the rings from braking the line or your line burning into the metal rings .. if I wanted a rod like that I'll take my self to a boot fair or charity shop..
