That's what true car guys do, you give credit where credit is due.The 1320 Package is actually powered by a naturally aspirated 392 HEMI® V-8 that delivers 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque and is mated to the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission with class-exclusive TransBrake. It was meant to be an economical way to go drag racing and a good base platform to build and modify into a quicker car as one has the funds. In other words, it's not a Hellcat Challenger, nor a Challenger with a Hellcat motor.You'll notice there was no blower whine.Not trying to be a jerk. If a person isn't necessarily a Mopar fan, or doesn't follow them, it would be easy to mistake it as one at a quick glance as it does share the Hellcat hood and the headlight air intake, two of only a handful of visual clues of a Hellcat Challenger vs any other. It also weighs in at 4150-4250 lb vs the Mustangs GT's 3700 lbs., 460 HP 420 FT LBS torque V8, and 10 speed transmission. The weight difference is worth a half of a second all by itself...(tenth of a second per 100 lbs). Obviously I'm a Mopar fan, and love the new CHallenger. But, I also enjoy other makes, and that is a quick Mustang.....and it does sound good.

I was a teenager in the '60s and remember the muscle cars so well. I got my license in '65 and began drag racing semi-regularly in '68. By the late '70s I had a dedicated drag car, a '70 Nova with a small block and 4-speed that ran in Bracket 1 (AHRA) and consistently turned in 12.20s at 105 mph. Back then, that was pretty damn quick but compared to today's machinery it was stone age technology and of mediocre performance. I'm now knocking on the door of my 70th birthday and I still love performance cars. Hell, if someone had told me years ago that I'd one day own a foreign car (a BMW) that made 485 horsepower from a six-banger and it wasn't a stick shift (a DCT, in fact) that I could tune using my cell phone to juggle 150+ horsepower in less than 2 minutes I'd have never believed it. Technology is WONDERFUL!!!

What a great video. I'm a huge fan of lime green. That being said it was impossible to decide between the two. Having grown up a hardcore Mopar guy it was a little painful to watch. However the sportsmanship and camaraderie made the pain easier to Bare. That Mustang was super cool and a flat-out beast. Also the mustang guy was one hell of a driver, obviously. its a modded mustang vs a stock 392? even if its a 1320 that isn't going to help it that much. you pulled on him hard towards the end which was pretty crazy. ive never seen a 5.0 leave a newer challenger - even with the weight advantage. I do love the new coyote engine. you said you got the redeye too right? the mods must be doin some work if that's the case.

you considered going back to the stock cold air intake? tons of testing has proven stock airbox reduces IAT's for drag racing specifically. probably loosing power due to your JLT. for drag racing your better off with the 18 intake and taking the filter out at the track. or using a high flow filter in stock air box. according to all the testing ive seen anyway.

Whenever I used to go run my lightning and my mustang at the track there was always at least one honda that would oil down the track.
It was almost always a Japanese brand that stopped the fun in Alberta Canada where I raced too. A friend of my brother was a Honda fanatic and he built probably 6 civics and now he's owned a few mustangs. He was blowing up motors every other weekend to keep up with the V8 daily driver crowd. He eventually gave up and after his first 5.0 he never went back.
Yo. I just bought a black on black 2019 Prem GT with the PP1 and I am so happy I went with the Automatic. I can't physically drive a manual anymore with nerve damage. So this new stang is the perfect fit for me. These videos are great and I hope you keep it up. I'm over in the Bay Area. And I think i'm going to try and make some videos and really start a channel of my own. Black Beauty coming at ya.
