Are you confused about which brokerage to join? Are you contemplating eXp Realty? Let me quickly go over my experience with eXp Realty as a multiple ICON agent that was with them for over 3 years.
Brokers and sales representatives have plenty of choices on which brokerage to choose from. eXp Realty is a popular brokerage making waves throughout the world, but let me explain why you should maybe think again about joining.
Here is one of the reasons on why I left eXp Realty after being with them for over 3 years, multiple ICON, #2 eXp agent in my area for 2 years.
1) Everybody has to conform to 80/20 16k cap revenue share model even though they may not even recruit or benefit from revenue share...In that 80/20 model you've got your $149 start up fee, $85 monthly cloud brokerage fee, $25 per transaction fee and $40 risk management fee (this may or may not change this is the data from when I was with eXp in 2022). These fees can start adding up when you are a new agent trying to get your business started. With LPT's Business Builder Plan, there is no start up fee, no monthly fee, no tech fee...You just pay when you close a deal. LPT believes the brokerage shouldnt make any money off an agent until the agent generates revenue...They do all of this while still providing all of the FREE marketing and tech so you can build your business. With the business builder you still get all of the amazing perks below while just paying $500 per transaction with a $5000 cap which is AMAZING!
