If you guys are looking for a religious perspective, go and ask an expert. Junaid bhai is a great mentor but he is NOT a religious expert. He is an expert on other things but religion is not one of them. We people are so quick to judge Islamic Scholars that we don't listen to their whole lectures. I was exposed to the practical side of Islam about two years ago and I was completely blown away by the things that I was missing on. Nouman Ali Khan is one of my favorite lecturers. Do, listen to him. I hope you all have a great day and Happy Eid Milad-un-Nabi!

For the Shia/Sunni issue: bhai jaan most respectfully, convince your parents to be true Muslims. Prophet Muhammad never endorsed any sect/cast etc.

If you are the 23 year old girl illustrator reading this, I'd recommend you take Junaid Bhaijan's wisdom with a pinch of salt. Stereotypes exist for a reason. And if the pushy Pakistani Family rushing thier daughter into marriage is one, so is the middle aged career woman in the west desperately trying to start a family in her late 30s. When asking the big marriage and kids question, the best answer is to know yourself. What would you want 10, 20, 30 years from now? Think long term and you will find your answer.

For those who are also facing this sect issue, there is one simple and best solution.... become A MUSLIM, disassociate yourself from all the sects and become a simple muslim who follow Quran and Sahih Hadiths rather than following SECTS, which if you search or dig deep will find that are just baseless fights over non-issue and illogical stuff....

As our people say, "Ahl-e-kitaab sy shadi jaaiz hy". Which means Pakistani Muslims are okay to marry Goriyaan Christian because they give you blue or red passport but it's not okay to marry Shia if you're sunni and vice versa. Thori si common sense use krlo. Sirf itna socho k Islam mein Christian or Jews k sth shadi jaaiz hy lekin yahan hmry Jannati Sunni Shia mein hi phansy.

Regarding privacy and personal space: My father who was born and raised in India, had migrated to Pakistan back in the 70s. He was very strict about privacy and personal space for everyone. We (including him) would never open anyone else's mail or packages. From a young age we were all told to be respectful of each other's space and privacy. My mother early on in the marriage once opened a letter from my grandmother that was addressed to my father and he was very upset with it. Rest assured, from then on, it was an unspoken rule that we all respected each other's privacy and personal space. It's not hard.

The 3 sides of a person thing is that all of us have 3 lifes 1st one is for the world where you and get hurt, deal with bullshit, get bullied, after that you have the 2nd life, your family where you go to feel cared, get your emotions out and talk with your family, and the 3rd one, yourself where you do the things for yourself to get happiness and achieve something, to go on an adventure to find yourself, that is the life most important...
