Damm Carlos Alcaraz might have done the near impossible. Impressive feat at such a young age. He played like an experienced player.
Alcaraz is just a straight up freak. Ruud is no slouch and he out played and overpowered him in a US Open final after playing 2 5 setters in a row.
Madrid 2022 was such a treat to witness and who knows, may well win the ATP Finals trophy and the Aus Open back to back!
Main thing in that USO final was the serving cuz in set two he looked sluggish and the third set breaker practically decided the match. But yea he’s gotta be the fittest player on tour only person ik at the moment who can do that

i wanna see multiple alcaraz vs djokovic matchups next yr, that would be a lot of fun. but the one thing i wanna see at least once is thiem, at his peak 2020 form, vs alcaraz. that would be nothing but pure power and spin
hopefully they meet at the ATP finals at least once - twice would be the best way to end the year, especially if Nadal decides to not go

Coria has so much talent but man what a choker unreal how he lost that match against Rafa up two breaks in the 5th. And of course the RG final in 2004 were he had two match points serving for the match.
Yeah, you do forget how good he was, especially when you look at this and it’s probably still one of the toughest battles of Nadal’s whole career

Recuerdo que yo observé ese partido en directo. Creo que mereció ganar Mayer. Me parece que ha sido una de las más grandes frustraciones que Mayer ha experimentado al perder este partido. Notorio es, en su rostro, la contención de sus lágrimas. Muy triste para mi fue su derrota.
