Truth is, as Manson stated, he walked away from a situation that came back to bite him, and him only. No one's really pointing the finger at Eli or Lana, the ones who *did the video*. He spoke in a way of being as inoffensive to Eli and Lana as possible, yet make the point that he was NOT responsible or a part of that production, nor would condone it in anyway. How much clearer did he need to be?

And I feel it’s unfair for people to say she’s glamourising abuse when her herself has been through such events. However there is a literal video of what happened so she must have been somewhat okay with what was going on, but I think Marilyn saying it wasn’t his intention for the scene to be like that and that he had no idea is quite a stretch and a bit of a lie. I’m a fan of both their music, however I could never stan Marilyn considering all the allegations that have been coming out against him recently.

Not saying that filming such a scene is *automatically* worthy of criticism, but what Lana and Eli did is. What was that for anyhow? Like others say, the way it was filmed it glamorizes the affair, rather than show how devastating and wrong it is. Its not cute or sexy, which I can read all over Lana and Eli's faces, they thought so.

The shock is all in your head; rape scenes have been shot before; this one may be out of context because the artists involved were trying to tell different stories and ultimately abandoned the project. Women who choose to be the actor of the victim character surely wouldn't be doing such a thing to glamorize rape or mock real victims. How sick are we as a society to think that because she's pretty and portraying a rape victim equates to glamorized rape?
What about the look on her face was fabulous? Do you see the expression of shock and repulsion and confusion and spite, or just the silhouette of Hollywood beauty?
For all of Manson's lyrics of despair and agony bereft of privilege, this was perhaps just too real a carnal hell, and the road for victims can be twice as long. Ive seen the video and that part seems obviously separated from the overall concept and the aestetics of the video, like someone jammed in that part, so yeah, it really looks like someone edited it in. But I have not seen anywhere, and its been years, that Lana responded to this even though she was in it and would obviously known why she filmed it.

They both rehearsed it and were making jokes while filming. 2nd allegation: Evan Rachel wood accuses Manson of abuse and uses her evidence of abuse that she found on Pinterest. Later she took it down because people were saying stuff about it. 3rd. Evan and her co conspirator typed up a fake fbi letter to use against him and recruited many women to go after him. Manson has sued Evan and ilma (her co conspirator) including Ashley for defamation prior to HBO doc release about him. He’s innocent! #justiceformarilynmanson

but if there is some truth to the abuse, i don't think it'll turn out the same way it did against Amber Heard. we now know Amber was the abusive one in the relationship, but regardless if she hit him or not, i think we can all agree there relationship was toxic.

I don't think the del rey part was just a test he kind of insinuated that they had been talking about her being in a video and him not wanting to be a part of what she was suggesting so he left and they filmed it after, I think he's saying the first part of the video was a test. The video that was released was meant to be a demo reel "to show all of his work" for the person who co-directed the No Reflection video, I don't think he "the guy who co-directed the no reflection video" had anything to do with the lana video? so I don't know why it was in his demo reel. but it was meant to be a compilation of the guys work not a music video, people just got it confused.

I don't understand why everybody is pointing fingers in the first place. If nobody was ACTUALLY raped, then everything is alright. Nobody was doing anything wrong. I'm pretty sure nobody intended to make Marilyn look bad, it's just the case that Eli decided to make something and Lana agreed to do it, but that doesn't mean they meant bad things. There shouldn't be anything wrong because none of this was Marilyn's fault and no one actually got hurt. I understand that people are furious for claiming Marilyn was responsible for the footage, and that's okay because you shouldn't say things people don't do. But let's not point fingers and make others look bad for something they didn't intend.
I don't see why the video was a big deal, unless people thought it was real? It was an act whereby a woman pretended to get raped, like in a movie or something. They're just actors.

The facts are Marilyn Manson had a company with a new camera shoot his videos and edit them. The company also had others use their cameras and services… the company then made a reel of new work and combined MMs video clips with clips of other peoples work. But because MM stood out and so did Lana Del Rey everyone assumed the showcase reel for the company was a Marilyn Manson music video. But it was purely an edit of newly shot and edited work across a range of clients by the editing / camera company, the company clearly didn’t check with their clients at what work could be released on their portfolio site for a showcase of work they can do and as a result was this mess of misinterpreted stuff.

lol They've put me in a few videos, too. First off, I never wanted to be famous. It's too much stress for me. I don't know how they can take it.
