Someone needs to teach the Sundown woofer builders how to line up the logos on the gasket to the dust cap... Especially for what you pay for their products.

I had the same exact sub and i blew the coil. Was a great sub tho it worked for 9 years. Wish i would have kept it to do this.

Just a tech tip suggestion my friend. Instead of a flap disc maybe try a regular resin fiber sanding disc. They take off tons of soft materials quickly but really don't dig in the harder materials like the basket at all. Lot easier to keep your basket flat
Same idea as the flap discs, except flap discs won't clog and last longer. It's the same materials just layered.

You should do a recone video on a Apline type r 15 SWR-1522D I remember trying to find videos and recones for that particular subwoofer and could absolutely find nothing
There is a reason you find nothing. I did some 12's and will never do Type R's again.

I was never a fan, the only thing I owned of theirs were big amps and 2 of them literally caught fire, the other 2 had 1 failure within 30 days.

We have a wholesale warehouse here in Fort Worth Texas M and M and we had an account there had MA audio, US Amps, RE audio, Audiopipe, Audiobahn (hey do you remember the sister brand to Audiobahn?) American bass and a few others I got a chance to play with alot of that stuff I was like in my early 20s then I'm 36 now. Can't wait to get my SuV
Template tape would may work good and some of the metal dust n crap may stick to it..? Maby not.
How does adding a longer coil winding add more Xmaxx when it would make the coil lower in the magnet making less room before bottoming out
