I've probably watched a dozen videos on this drill press. You're the 1st one with enough sense to raise the table out of the way before running in the bolts from the column to the base.
Thanks for the video! If you get a minute can you tell me the dimensions of the base and the top part, and the height of the whole thing? I'm hoping to purchase one and figuring out if it will fit on my workbench.
Sorry, missed this comment - the base is 16" x 9.75", overall height is 37" and the overall depth is about 22" (had to eyeball it) from the back of the motor to the table (not extended).

I’m sure I’ll do something stupid later to make up for it 😅
I have owned this unit since 2017, using it several times a week and it is solid.
So far I’m very impressed with it.
@@icandothat905 I like things to run silent. A 3/8 rubber matt under the base has cut the sound by 75%>

@@icandothat905 That helps a lot, thank you! Man that thing is tall, I'll have to make room!
Ha, yeah it is, but you get a lot of clearance with it. Good Luck!
On the depth gauge on the left, are you able to unscrew the top most nut in order to get slightly further travel than 3 1/8"?
Yes the top nuts will come completely off but the full travel is 3 1/8 regardless
@@icandothat905 Gotcha, thank you!
