Telltale has outdone itself with this game! Seriously. I played it until after five in the morning because I couldn't put it down. And now I feel somewhat lonely because I can't play until season 2. As well, (and this may be weird) but Bigby is the hottest, sexiest damn character I've ever seen and ever played. Seriously. It is solely an interactive game play with some quick time events so if you aren't a story oriented gamer then this isn't for you. But, for those of you who love a good story, this is what you are looking for. A story to rival even those of Bioware.

I agree with you that mechanics are more important for most games, but games aren´t just simple games anymore, you can often tell a better story through a game than through a movie. So for some games the story is more important than the gameplay. Games are simply evolving and the word already means more than just gaming, a game is more of an experience.
Telltale did an amazing job with The Wolf Among Us. One of the best games I've ever played. I finished it on the Xbox One last night, and I'm going to buy it on the 360 as well because I want achievements, and it play it over again. :)
Like a combo of walking dead and LA noire in a sense, this game is pretty fun, got to play the first episode and it was pretty action packed. I felt some of the investigation parts(non-dialogue interaction) was a little boring but overall a good game in an established continuity. Only 3 episodes though

That Noir atmosphere, its perfect. Because the game is going to be a prequel you can read the comics without the fear of spoilers. The game takes place when the Fables try to settle in their new home so there is no order yet in the Fabletown. Messy and a dangerous Fabletown, I'm sold.
I like the game engine, it gives a chance for people with low graphic computers to play it, plus it's something special, it's kinda like Telltale made a signature with these games, like if you saw that kind of graphics you know telltale made it.

You should seriously consider reading some of it. Vol 1-10 (for me) captured the feeling of the 'greats' in comics. Those comics that transcend the artform & become something more, like "Sandman", "Lucifer", and "Y: The Last Man"

When someone see's this style, they know it's going to be a telltale game. It's not unique for the game, but unique for the company so it can stand out from all the other companies and it does. Yes! You swap between Superman and Batman and even other guest stars like Supergirl when they had to face Darkseid. Or even any of the good Justice League stories like "The New Frontier." Can you imagine playing every Justice League character in their own perspective for that comic?! Switch to Hal Jordan flying a new test plane, switch to Batman facing the cult members, switch to Superman rescuing Martian Manhunter. SO many possibilities!

Well, I read a few comics of Fables. If you watched Once Upon A Time or Grimm, it's something like that. But more in an adult kind of way. I think the story is most about Bigby Wolf, also known as "The Big Bad Wolf" from "Red Riding Hood".

wolf among us is not set in a "modern fantasy world" its set in 1980s New York and bigby is not a werewolf or a he human he really is just a "Giant Wolf" hiding in a human skin
shavp Bigby is an 8 feet tall wolf able to hold his breath for weeks because his father was the North Wind... he contracted lycanthropy which allows him to turn into wolfman form, human form, and a half form... but since he always was a wolf, he has full control of it... and he smokes constantly to keep his super senses in check.
Fair point. I hadn't thought of that. But I wouldn't worry about it. Fables isn't the kind of comic where you have to worry about canon because it's more like you're getting a snippet of their life. You really get the sense of so much more happening than what is shown in the comics.

well to be fair the original grim fairytales were pretty brutal sometimes as well.and if your curios look up the comic book on amazon it will give you a pretty good idea.
It's a fantasy/noir comic. The basic premise is that all the character from fairy tales, the big bad wolf, snow white, boy blue, rose red, Jack "from jack and the beanstalk" have been exiled from there own world to our worlds New York city.

What I meant is that I don't know anything about season 2 and I don't want to know because I want to be amazed. The same with The Wolf Among Us. I love The Walking Dead series and videogame (telltales) but I checked out some of the comics and it's not my style (at least comic style). Even if I wanted to I'm collecting Batman comics. I appreciate the advice though.
It has been conformed by telltale that they are using a updated engine for the wolf among us the Framerate issues and the save problems that the walking dead had has been fixed "the wolf among us" runs smoother and better than the walking dead did and this has been conformed by a number of game sites and magazines who got a chance to play a demo of the game today

Dude, I'd recommend going to watch the Two Best Friends Play playthrough of the first episode. It's got spoilers for the first episode of course, but Matt and Woolie bring out the best of the game with their wide-spanning, referential knowledge of gaming and good humour. I hope that after watching it, you'll be pretty much sold. :) I know I am.

I always imagined Bigby's voice to be a bit more rough, like Ron Perlman. This guys voice would suit Jack better IMHO.
