Lots of tributes to classics... only a die hard film lover can think, write n visualise scenes like this ..

The music, though works well for the film, but as a standalone album, it mostly is spoof music; it feels like one is making fun of that style rather than trying to genuinely emulate it...Unlike say the music of Andaz Apna Apna which is a far more studied representation of OP Nayyar's music by Tushar Bhatia....But as I said, it works fine when heard with the film....

I would respectfully disagree. Amidst high fever and when I would not have wanted to do anything I watched this movie. I crashed out in between thanks to flu. But woke up went back and watched and found so many amazing nuances hidden everywhere. There is crazy madness in this kind of cinema. It was fully enjoyable especially seeing those gorgeous cobras. I am sure more and more people would enjoy the absurd humor and especially the weirdness this film brings to indian cinema ( funny fight between both of them and then one of them icing, the revelation of what happens to sikanders character, and so many more). It was so joyful to watch so many good ones in one screen. Especially the tear filled cameo of abhimanyuand irritated cameo of Radhika Madan. Radhika's character was of course in the end tapered off weirdly but she has such an amazing role. Mostly female cops are shown as virtues of justice or Hitler reincarnate. She is little messed up relaxed cop and her exchanges with Rao are amazing. Tamang character ( artist name not known), and the patriarch was excellent.

It's your standard hijinks, "what do we do with the body" film. The setting and backstory barely matters. I was surprised at the pivot this movie took from the first act, which goes to show that the film only cares and heavily depends on the crutch that is the silly suspense plot.

Brilliant movie. Had it been a south indian movie, the reviewers would be falling in director's feet. The movie doesn't have a weak second half. It's equally good. The problem with Hindi movie reviewers is that they evaluate good movies too harshly. And then later on ask the questions that why good movies fail. Good movies fail, because reviewers don't support them. Just look at south indian reviewers. They give 5 stars to even the most pathetic of the movies.

I am wary of the wannabe quirkiness in movies like this. MKDNH was a letdown after an extraordinary trailer even though some of the usual suspects went gaga over it as the heroine bought a morning after pill 🤣.

Update: I finally saw MOMD and it was great fun and a massive improvement from MKDNH. Vasan Bala has matched if not outdone Sriram Raghavan with this.
