Hi John,, welcome home brother ! I joined the AF in late Sept.of 65 . My whole basic training Flt. Was sent to Air Police ! Needs of the service !! After a short time at Udorn Thailand and Guam I had a year left in service so I volunteered for Vietnam! Spent my last year at Danang 8/68-8/69 Made SSgt as soon as I got to Danang! My older brother Kenneth was at Clark. He came to Vietnam and was up on Monkey mountain running the communication generators ! He said he could see all the122 rockets hitting Danang Air Base almost every nite!. I went thru over three hundred attacks! Two the first nite there ! April 69 our bomb dump blowed up and lasted for two and a half days! Shrapnel flying everywhere ! Good to see a fellow airman do one of these interviews! I live here in white oak ! corner of Lapland and February. I can hear music from the Knotty Pine bar ! Again, Welcome home and Thank You for your service !!
