I can understand this full well. Once..... Even I got mad at my mom for days. I ignored her, stopped talking even when she coaxed me to talk to her by making my favorite dishes. But then one day we found out she had a stomach tumor and her chances of survival were low. I cursed myself that day. I wanted to kick myself, slap myself, beat myself up to death. I thought bcoz of a stupid grudge I forgot that I only have one life and one mother. I cried myself to sleep. I wanted to tell all of this to Dad but I couldn't face him after blaming myself. But thankfully the surgery was a success and I kept my forehead on her feet and apologized to her profusely. She kept saying it was okay that it wasn't my fault, she forgave me so easily. But I haven't been able to forgive myself for that even until now. The fear of losing my parents is still there somewhere from that day. 😞
