I completely agree with you. I bought Moto Edge 20 Fusion after updating to Android 12. One of the most noticeable issues is the downgrade of Netflix streaming quality from L1 to L3, resulting in SD playback instead of the previous high-quality viewing experience. Additionally, there are various other UI glitches that I have encountered, which is a separate matter altogether.

Hi , I’ve been using a Moto Edge 30 for the past six months. I purchased it in October 2022 and it’s still under warranty. Initially, I had an issue with the power button not clicking, so I visited the service center to resolve that issue. After receiving my phone back from the service center, I realized that the fingerprint scanner was having trouble registering my finger. It showed an error message saying “enrollment cannot be completed”. I checked with other phones and it worked perfectly fine, so it must be an issue with my phone. I visited the service center again for this issue but even after one week, my problem wasn’t resolved. When I got my phone back from the service center, it wouldn’t charge anymore. This was enough for me - I had visited the service center at least eight times and they didn’t pick up their phone or have clear working hours. From the first week of February to today (29 March), I suffered like hell. Buying a Moto smartphone was the worst mistake I made in 2022.
Although the updates from moto have always taken time their android version upgrades never caused the phone to stop or behave abruptly. They have always launched it only when it's the most optimised but yes the time they take is really long. Processors they're providing these days is coming in super affordable prices these days which in some cases is even cheaper than Realme and redmi phones which in the beginning were supposed to be the most affordable solutions. The people that say moto will eat up their market is bcoz of this. These brands are being way too overconfident with their prices and making same mistake that OnePlus did and was no longer an "affordable" choice. Motorola was the old and trusted brand here and yet these so called affordable solutions are making phones with same processors at even higher price tags than moto
Agreed, I invested in edge 30 ultra for the old moto to boom, it has glitches in the UI, which came after some updates but it's manageable and I'm sure it will be fixed with next update

Nailed it. I stopped using Motorola for these reasons long time ago. My last moto phone was E2 and Lenovo K8+. Moto E didn’t even have a flash light back in the day.
They're aren't the right phones to judge the whole brand. They're budget phones from long time back. Almost 7-8 years ago. Even top brands were making shitty phones in that age. If you had used something like Moto Z2 Play, or Moto X4, your experience would be totally different. And lenovo is a failed smartphone brand. Don't compare it to Moto, even though they own it.

@@rohitk8797 I had the same phone. Personally I liked it, because it was handly and had good display. But obviously it had very low end specs like Snapdragon 200 and no auto focus. I don't remember how exactly it died, probably from a boot loop error leading to motherboard failure. Later i got Moto G4 Plus, which was probably their top selling phone of all time, with awesome camera and laser autofocus.

Also motorola in their one series phones back in the day promised fast updates for 2 years in sync with google, but reneged on their promise..They had the same issue more or less with the moto G4 Plus, first advertising 2 updates on their carton and then not providing it, but after severe backlash from the customers they were forced to provide the 2nd update on the G4 Plus.. after learning from this fiasco they did not even provide 2 updates for G5 Plus..Also both the G4 Plus and te G5 plus had ghost touch issues, which their incompetent service centers in many places in India were incapable of solving..

And even those will third party service centers and are not so great... Customer service is a bit better but not so helpful in resolving issues... Being a past moto g and moto g5 user and presently realme x user...I was initially interested in the stock Android experience... But I had to use some other add supported apps on moto to get some extra out of the os experience which killed the initial purpose. Now for past 4 years completely satisfied with realme x experience
I was planning on purchase of Edge40 (which is always OUT OF STOCK) but after watching this I am reconsidering Samsung. Samsung definitely have its own share of motherboard and software issues but the OneUI is optimized and the updates are launched at promised timelines. So I hopefully I will stick to Samsung. or should I choose some other brands like Realme or Oppo?

Received Android 12 just 10 days ago toh updates ka bhai ne jo kha blkl point to point correct. 4. Bugs even on there soo called stock Android!! 5. Total pathetic after sales service in my city kanpur. Jb maine network problem ke liye visit Kiya toh in the name of software factory reset Kiya when I asked them for job sheet toh khud hi btya sir srf factor reset Kiya h😂🙂 after some days I am facing the same issues but now used to ho gya hu ( seh lege Thora). 6. Uncle ne blkl sahi kha tempred glass note 10 ka use karna pdta h. Backcover offline milta hi nhi 😕. Or online 2-3 k alwa koi option hi nhi h wobhi saare overpriced but majboor h bhai lene ko 🥲
You have not mentioned about storage it has option for only 128 GB, no option for 256 GB. The main downfall is no external storage slot, they can atleast provide with hibrid slot
Wow ! being a guy who absolutely hates the awfull UI from all the other brands my lean was towards Moto for my next phone but this video really made me rethink about it, Especially the customer support bit. I guess the only option that remains now is to go with a Samsung phone even tho it'll cost more.
Don't get discouraged it's kinda feedback video to moto heavily focused on downsides mainly, many of them are manageable compared to downsides of other competitors. For instance we can even roast iPhones that doesn't make them immediately bad phones

Guys I have been using this phone for 2 years n let me tell my experience: Bright side: •clean and stock Android ,no lag,better features everything is damn good Problems: •The biggest problem is on wifi.......like my home wifi operates on 100mbs but my phone receive speed is 200kb whereas Samsung,realme, iPhone have about 80-90 receive speed...it's so frustrating....and it's the major drawback •Secondly is the camera... specially indoor ..shit as f**k .It's selfie camera, indoor camera ,camera quality during night light is comparable to keypad phone camera quality...I'm serious guys🥲🥲. Outdoor camera is average...but the catch is it's auto photo processing (I guess Google's features ) mind blowing ❤ So these are the only 2 problems I faced😊

For camera performance upgradation you could just checkout the new G73 5g for although still their might be a few flaws here and there but yes moto is working hard and well on that... Yes updates are less but much stable and greatly logical features are provided by Moto if they are examined closely.(Ex- Mult volume, optimised charging(which doesn't depend on the alarm set if the device had already learnt your punctual charging routine with enabled location yes)

It has been a year since this video and I believe Moto has changed altogether, whether it be features, cameras, software, etc definitely value for the money..... updates can be improved but I'd prefer a stable late update over a quick update full of bugs

After upgrading from realme narzo to moto edge 20, disappointed by software experience. In the name of clean software experience no essential features are given. From network speed to privacy app lock nothing is given. Not even a built in gallery. Never going to buy any stock Android phones. And those who will be complaining of ads in realme ui or mi ui, keep in mind that in 3rd party apps such as app lock or gallery, full screen ads will be shown, which ruins experience.
@@linuxosfan realme is good but don't buy the budget phones of 10k range. My experience with vivo t1 is good. You can go for vivo t1 for under 20k range and t1 pro for 25k. Camera is generally good with vivo phones. You will also get vivo dialer by dialling an ussd code. There you will get call recorder without announcement.
My domestic help bought moto G54 on 14-10-23 but it started overheating even after speaking for 20 minutes. He visited service center in Delhi after talking to MOTOROla Chennai. But no use overheating persists. Motorola and Service support has given up on customers. Don’t buy
I got moto g52 in 2022 as soon as ot launched. The network reception and internet is really bad ... Now my screen got detached from frame and pixels are dying on screen which is slowly expanding everyday.... Software is highly buggy and did face a lot of issue... Never buying moto again.. the only good thing is p oled and glass which didn't crack yill today

They have maybe the worst AI noise clearing for their camera. My moto g72 108mp struggles even with good daylight, with great amount of noise and oil paint like texture and below average hdr
I'm Using moto g40 fusion and it's going to be almost 2 years. The major problems I had is with the Camera app. First of all , the camera app is extremely laggy, whenever I try to capture a picture in hurry, the camera app will take at least 3 seconds to open, then it will take another 3 seconds to set itself for taking pictures. Then after touching the capture button, it will take another 3 seconds to capture the photo. If you are lucky enough to capture your photo then the real struggle starts. After taking a photo, it's completely depends on your luck if the photo will be saved to your phone. If you are lucky enough, it will process the photo within 10 seconds but most of the time it takes forever to process and after waiting for minutes the end result would be extremely bad( only if the photo is saved, otherwise......). Then once I done taking photos with extreme patient, when I will close the camera app, the phone won't be able to handle it even with a snapdragon 732g and all app icons will be gone for few seconds. Such a great experience with Motorola 👏 I was surprised to see that the Gcam was a lot more faster and snappy than the stock camera app in every aspects.

Being a past moto g and moto g5 user and presently realme x user...I was initially interested in the stock Android experience... But I had to use some other add supported apps on moto to get some extra out of the os experience which killed the initial purpose. Now for past 4 years completely satisfied with realme x experience

I was planning on purchase of Edge40 (which is always OUT OF STOCK) but after watching this I am reconsidering Samsung. Samsung definitely have its own share of motherboard and software issues but the OneUI is optimized and the updates are launched at promised timelines. So I hopefully I will stick to Samsung. or should I choose some other brands like Realme or Oppo?

As being a moto g31 users since last 6 months. The problem I faced are-
1. Speaker khrb ho gya 🙂
2. Too many network issues.
3. Received Android 12 just 10 days ago toh updates ka bhai ne jo kha blkl point to point correct.
4. Bugs even on there soo called stock Android!!
5. Total pathetic after sales service in my city kanpur. Jb maine network problem ke liye visit Kiya toh in the name of software factory reset Kiya when I asked them for job sheet toh khud hi btya sir srf factor reset Kiya h😂🙂 after some days I am facing the same issues but now used to ho gya hu ( seh lege Thora).
6. Uncle ne blkl sahi kha tempred glass note 10 ka use karna pdta h. Backcover offline milta hi nhi 😕. Or online 2-3 k alwa koi option hi nhi h wobhi saare overpriced but majboor h bhai lene ko 🥲

You have not mentioned about storage it has option for only 128 GB, no option for 256 GB.

Wow ! being a guy who absolutely hates the awfull UI from all the other brands my lean was towards Moto for my next phone but this video really made me rethink about it, Especially the customer support bit.
I guess the only option that remains now is to go with a Samsung phone even tho it'll cost more.
Don't get discouraged it's kinda feedback video to moto heavily focused on downsides mainly, many of them are manageable compared to downsides of other competitors.
For instance we can even roast iPhones that doesn't make them immediately bad phones

To be honest customer support depends on location to location too... And this is valid for all the brands
If the Phone is good, you dont even need customer support. and Moto has one of the best quality phones. Samsung users face more problems comparatively.

Itni ghatiya service hai Motorola ki soch nhi sakte thae, district wise service centre bhi nhi hai inke.... Main Jaipur gaya waha Part k liye order Kiya but after 36 days wait karne k baad call Kiya to bolte hai mobile service centre me do 10 din yhi rakhenge.... Samjh nhi aa raha 10 minute k kaam k liye mobile waha jama karwa do.... Dil to karta hai consumer court me case kar du aur Kam se Kam 1 lac ka jurmana aur Naya mobile lu inse. Majak bana rakha hai customer ka inhone..... Boycott Motorola don't buy it

Guys I have been using this phone for 2 years n let me tell my experience:
Bright side:
•clean and stock Android ,no lag,better features everything is damn good
Problems:
•The biggest problem is on wifi.......like my home wifi operates on 100mbs but my phone receive speed is 200kb whereas Samsung,realme, iPhone have about 80-90 receive speed...it's so frustrating....and it's the major drawback
•Secondly is the camera... specially indoor ..shit as f**k .It's selfie camera, indoor camera ,camera quality during night light is comparable to keypad phone camera quality...I'm serious guys🥲🥲.
Outdoor camera is average...but the catch is it's auto photo processing (I guess Google's features ) mind blowing ❤
So these are the only 2 problems I faced😊

Yes updates are less but much stable and greatly logical features are provided by Moto if they are examined closely.(Ex- Mult volume, optimised charging(which doesn't depend on the alarm set if the device had already learnt your punctual charging routine with enabled location yes)
Boycott motorola phones, I had bought moto g 5g with android 10 upgrade in 20k rupees but so far I have just received 1 update of android 11, subsequently I have not received any updates, and one more thing that 5g internet services already started in my city but moto has not even given me 5g upgrade in my moto g 5g phone, very pathetic service by Motorola,

After upgrading from realme narzo to moto edge 20, disappointed by software experience. In the name of clean software experience no essential features are given. From network speed to privacy app lock nothing is given. Not even a built in gallery. Never going to buy any stock Android phones.
And those who will be complaining of ads in realme ui or mi ui, keep in mind that in 3rd party apps such as app lock or gallery, full screen ads will be shown, which ruins experience.

Camera is generally good with vivo phones. You will also get vivo dialer by dialling an ussd code. There you will get call recorder without announcement.

I got moto g52 in 2022 as soon as ot launched. The network reception and internet is really bad ... Now my screen got detached from frame and pixels are dying on screen which is slowly expanding everyday.... Software is highly buggy and did face a lot of issue... Never buying moto again.. the only good thing is p oled and glass which didn't crack yill today

They have maybe the worst AI noise clearing for their camera. My moto g72 108mp struggles even with good daylight, with great amount of noise and oil paint like texture and below average hdr
I'm Using moto g40 fusion and it's going to be almost 2 years. The major problems I had is with the Camera app.
First of all , the camera app is extremely laggy, whenever I try to capture a picture in hurry, the camera app will take at least 3 seconds to open, then it will take another 3 seconds to set itself for taking pictures. Then after touching the capture button, it will take another 3 seconds to capture the photo. If you are lucky enough to capture your photo then the real struggle starts. After taking a photo, it's completely depends on your luck if the photo will be saved to your phone. If you are lucky enough, it will process the photo within 10 seconds but most of the time it takes forever to process and after waiting for minutes the end result would be extremely bad( only if the photo is saved, otherwise......).
Then once I done taking photos with extreme patient, when I will close the camera app, the phone won't be able to handle it even with a snapdragon 732g and all app icons will be gone for few seconds. Such a great experience with Motorola 👏
I was surprised to see that the Gcam was a lot more faster and snappy than the stock camera app in every aspects.
