Many years ago we were on the Ocean Village (cruises for people who don't do cruises) in the Caribbean. Anyway we thought we had found the best place for sunbathing at the stern. Not for long it wasn't, we got covered in soot from the smoke coming out of the funnel. Your balcony reminded me of that :-)
I like this cabin as its one of the cheapest on the boat, for a normal balcony it's an extra £300 person as a rule of thumb and on these modern ships there, so tiny. I find this one gives a much better size for good value. I would of liked to of been on that ship, I feel older ones had more character 😊
Hey mate, I was on the same trip as you, saw you filming a couple times on board and knew I had to try and find your CZcams channel. Keep up the good work😀👍
Thanks. Yes New Series of videos coming out for this journey. Was great as always and lots of wonderful memories made. Thanks for watching and hope you had a wonderful time.
Yeah it was fine, I thought it would be really windy but unless your right at the front its fine. Had this cabin a few times and has always been good. Trying one higher up next year, was worried that might be windy so will see. If you watch my vlogs I think I show you how windy it is, try the Oslo one as we leave port.
The sensor for the light is in the side of the lighting unit, we licked a cotton wool pad and stuck it over the sensor and it never bothered us again in the night. Apparently the sensor light is on a separate circuit to the other lights in the cabin and will work should the ship’s power go off (allegedly).
Hi mate, we are looking at booking two of these forward facing rooms Sky Princess (on other side). My wife is a really light sleeper, did you get much noise from the bridge below? Do you recommend these in general? Never been on a cruise and we are with kids.
No noise at all, no ups or downs or anything, I was a little worried myself at the start but no was perfect. The ship isn't the best for kids, but alot of it comes down to what they like and ages. I will say this Tho, the kids clubs and activities are really good and they remembered by sons name from a year ago. Even I call him his brothers name sometimes lol
@@cruisewithmyfather2730 thanks for the reply, very helpful. Out of interest, which cruises do you think are best for kids? Ours are 12 and 8. Also, could you use the balcony when sailing? Officially it says only in port. (sorry for all the questions)
No that's what Im here for ;-) Yes used all the time never a problem. 12 and 8 Royal Caribbean are great and MSC also w have a MSC one coming up in October, there is slides and a rope course and the price is good also on the MSC. They will enjoy this there both in the same kids club. It changes at 13 for your notes. @@markham1

@@cruisewithmyfather2730 look forward to watching them, will have to try and spot myself😆👍
We were in 228 same floor. Our shower was shocking. No power.
@@eclipseflooringdaz1656 There was a few workmen fixing stuff I noticed on the 228 side - ie Port. Hope it didn't ruin your experience.
Looking forward to it
Could you use balcony when ship was moving or was it too windy?

Haha, yeah good idea.
It's handy, but when you have to visit in the middle of the night it's a bright light ain't it lol
