I've had a history of herniated discs, a hip tear, and ankle surgery over the past 20 years and I was and am so grateful for the work I did to keep myself functional for when my son asked to teach him how to hoop two years ago. It's been an amazing journey and I pray you and other parents get to taste the reward of not just talking about the ol glory days, but be healthy enough to actually recreate and reinvent them with their children.
Awww thanks for that! I honestly had to keep playing because it was swelling up slowly as we played. I actually had reconstructive surgery on that ankle too in my junior year of h.s. But you get better soon! Make sure to ice it and elevate that thing! I have a kinesiology degree and will tell you.. once that ankle heals be sure to work on ankle mobility exercises. You won't regret it
