That still makes zero sense that it was removed from multiple platforms not just CZcams at the same time. Even if the trailer was made my a 3rd party the owner of that trailer usually goes to the owner not the maker , ea /bioware owns all the rights so even a false claim can easily proved , in a way it’s kind of like the 3rd party creator had a beef about not being payed on time thus stuck a self delete route back door in the event that they were not paid
As much as a new protagonist and crew would be cool, I really want some happy closure to Shepherds story like yea the citadel was really good but the ending is just such a bummer in my opinion (and I know that’s kinda the point obviously not everyone will live in war). I just want a happy life with Garrus is that so much to ask 😫

It's funny. Normally, with a new thing, the first experiment has the highest chance of going wrong. But with frostbite, the first was a success and the second one went wrong. Totally unusual.
I think the Inquisition and Andromeda teams both had trouble with the Frostbite engine because they had to design RPG mechanics and such from scratch. Remember, these two games were being worked on side by side (almost) by two different teams. Only the Inquisition team overcame the obstacles (mostly) while the Andromeda team did not.
I think it is possible, that the Geth sent out some platforms out of the Milky Way, where they possibly would not be affected by destruction. But since they would be disconnected from the consensus, it's like an old backup. Depending on when they left, they would not know about some events and still be hostile.
my compliments to Big Dan for your well articulated thoughts. i have to be honest - i was pleasantly surprised by your fluency. i didn't expect it based on your scripted videos (which i also like and especially approve the systematic work that goes into making them). so keep at it and when your reading/acting performance will catch up, you'll be fire!
Id love Shepard back, tbh seeing the galaxy slowly begining to heal and how it all works out afterwards would be awesome. There is a ton of hangups that we could have to overcome in this new age. And obviously people are already invested in the characters of the trilogy, I cant stress enough how awesome it would be to see them all again and how the relationship with your loved one goes forward, or for example to see Tali and Garrus together and such. It all depends on execution, it could be incredible and it could retroactively hurt the trilogy experience. That being said, I highly doubt Shepard will be back simply because of how hard it would be to incorporate all the variations of stuff even if they chose one specific ending as canon (which I dont mind at all tbh)
As for the geath you could say legion gave them a "soul" when he sacrificed themselves to give them individuality, so they survived the purge. Shepherd survives after all and it's heavily implied he'd die in the destroy ending, do to his cybernetics.
Considering that in the destroy ending of ME3 we can see several ships operational flying past a destroyed mass relay I wouldn't doubt that there were any Geth that could have avoided the blast.

I think there is a way they could have the Geth in the next game no matter what ME3 ending is chosen. One of the dropped story lines from ME2 was the star at Haestrom. The Quarians were there trying to figure out why the star was aging too fast, but what if the Geth were there to test a type of shield technology. And after they knew the Reapers were coming they built a type of shield world or station either on the edge of the galaxy or in between systems. They could have installed a large amount of their programs and then deleted the records from the rest of the Geth to make sure the Reapers could not find it. And if the rest of the Geth are wiped out by the Quarians or from the ME3 ending, the Geth that reemerge from the shield world could want revenge so they could still be an enemy.
If I remember correctly, they did not spend 5 years on Andromeda but just one, because they were creating something like No Mans Sky and it did not work. They scrapped everything and created Andromeda year before deadline
I'd like to see Shepard return in the next game but it depends on how much time has past since the end of ME 3. If it's only a few years (3-5) than maybe play as Shepard but if it's more like 10 years or longer than I'd like to see Shepard to take over the mentor roll that Anderson played in the trilogy.
I have a really strong feeling that how they're going to portray Wrex and the rest of the Krogan in Mass Effect 4 is going to be very, very, VERY interesting!
For continuity, It should focus on what the AI warned us about; a game on the korgan and geth question, powerful arguments against both organic evolution and synthetics. I would especially like to see how they write the sentient geth - how the rest of the galaxy sees them potentially becoming the torch bearers of the reapers as they ponder their place in the galactic community, so on and so forth. If Shepard controls the reapers, s/he can play avatar.
So touching on the endings from MrHulthen's video. I always generally went with Synthesis because I hate the idea of EDI and the Geth just getting wiped out. But then it's like they're artificial, they can be recreated even with the Destroy ending as you said. Had no idea about the trailer being removed, that is really bizarre, wish we got more transparency like you said. As I said on the Part 1, I would prefer that Shepard is not the playable character. If he returns it should be in NPC form or just not at all.
I'm thinking, instead of Shepard, have the ability to play whatever alien you like. And as an easter egg, Run into Shepard if he was still alive (maybe with a mission or two) kind of like Hawke on Dragon Age Inquisition...
Shepard should come back in a support roll like a mentor VI personality for the new hero to learn from without having to rehash the original Shepard's ending.

My answer to those questions and questions of my own: 1. The Geth can return as it is just a matter of creating new code, aka programs, with the learned lessons of the past (EDI was willingly to sacrifice herself to pemanently stop the Reapers); 2. Mike Gamble tweeted the teaser will return when they find a way to bring it back with all the prior reactions (copy right or they will add something else though it still doesn't rule out issues with Bioware); 3. Bioware is as transparent as an ice cube meaning, that while you can see through the cube there are still sections that are hidden from view and that includes why the lack of more post launch technical support for the MELE; 4. Andromeda had a messy development and that came from ME2, it was just that we didn't noticed it because we were so enamorated with the game; 5. Not sure about the use of Unreal Engine but it seems that it is popular with a lot of studios; 6. I hope Shepard returns, it was a s---- way for Bioware to say goodbye to their star player and his team. Hopefully the first sections of the new game are with Shepard and surviving Co post Reaper War and then do a time skip to show them in Andromeda (reason being that he and his LI wanted to travel there for retirement and then comeback to have their final moments in the MW) but this time with Ryder a few months after Andromeda ended (if GTA V can have multiple playable characters imagine that with different teams for ME).

Mass effect just wouldn’t be the same without the Shepard and vacarian I just do not want them being the antagonist- personally I would want it to be a duel story running at the same time e.g liara story and alternate with shepherds story running at the same time till they meet, then you choose which character you want to follow, squad mate or leader , in a way that would be interesting as Shepard may be romancing someone else ( your choice from the legendary edition) instead and how she feels , when she’s hurt but doesn’t say , does she let her feels be known or keep just friends . But the better question is just who is the antagonist or antagonists and will we see more enemies from the omega 4 relay as well s some older ones reappear wanting there old worlds back , some possible allies, others down right hostile or worse start there own cleanse the galaxy . But one thing I think a lot of people have forgotten is the rachni were and older race that have outlived three different cycles, the queen once said that the machines song influenced there race multiple time as a way to ware-down that cycle resources , they manage to colonise multiple systems and possibly in self defence or 3rd part influence did a increadavle job that the council had uplift a race to fight back What if after the war the rachni became the force that managed to connect the galaxy again , the central core of the ships navigation system instead of an ai or synthetic. But it shouldn’t end just like that. This race knows what may lay beyond the know system in the space between dark space, what if the queen and her knowledge made them prepared and resist never to be used again , but as an equal. Bathe keepers are famous as being bugs that could do the impossible, what if the rachni are the same and that interstellar communication was just only the start
Well remember the Geth are just data who can move into individual platforms, servers etc. They have insinuated before that they have redundant servers as a backup AND that Geth are spread out all over the galaxy so some Geth 'may' not have been affected. The Geth technically don't have to be gone. I sort of think/hope they eventually find Shepard. And remember, Shepard is partly cybernetic, so they could either try to rebuild or try incorporate part of Shepard into the Geth?.. maybe, hopefully? I guess thats me hoping for something amazing, like bringing back the elusive Warden, who was the main character, but silently disappeared into legend.
Honestly, it makes the most sense for them to go with the Destroy ending because of all the stories and conflicts that can happen and plus Shepard survives. Doesn't make much sense for Synthesis if everyone is happy and understanding of eachother. Control doesn't work either because if Shepard eventually loses sight because theres no guarantee he/she wouldn't, then we'd be right back to where we were in the original trilogy.
I think that the teaser was removed because of copyright possibly. Maybe they had a voice they weren't authorised to use? BUT ALSO, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a BioWare thing.
I'd like Shephard to return but more as a mentor to the new main protagonist. I mean, the events from all 3 games where really weighing on him/her mentally and physically, also maybe he/she comes back due to a revival of a stasis pod (as I've seen that theory mentioned) but due to the destroy ending (if it's canonized) destroying alot of the mechanical/technological pieces in his/her body that cerberus used to help bring him/her back, he/she doesn't have full use of their body so they can only be there in a mentorship role. Idk just my thoughts, a good way to bring Shephard back but also have a new protagonist for the new games.
Loved the video you two! Haha, was wondering for the longest when you two would! I thought about this for a while, I actually really like Andromeda's dialog wheel. I felt like it could (sometimes) give a bigger range to express the player character besides either being good or bad Shepard. It will certainly need some tweaks of xourse, but I think it has some real potential! While "Paragon" and "Renegade" checks can be tweaked by actually investing skill points in them, similar to ME1. I suppose I'm saying I want mass effect to be a bit more RPG like, hah.
I agree, Andromeda's dialogue wheel has a lot of potential, and in Andromeda was bad because they wrote it bad. But since ME4 will be developed by the main ME Team that developed the original trilogy instead of some side team, I want to see what they do with this new dialogue wheel. And I also want to see a progression more like ME1 return as well.
I actually preferred Ryders portrayal since he/she is kinda just thrown into the role as a leader when they never meant to be one and you have to do your best to keep everyone afloat. Andromeda had so much potential but the shit launch and cancelled support fucked it all up
I know I’m late but what if they are hinting at a prequel to all the mass effect games, where we see the morning war play out possibly as a quarian or sone other alien species because humans hadn’t discovered galactic travel yet. I doubt commander Shepard comes back but this allows for them to bypass all the choices you made in ME1, ME2, and ME3 and allow you to start fresh.
Imagine getting to create a new character from scratch with a new trilogy but with Shep and characters from Sheps story still very relevant. But this new character can be any of the main races, Asari, Turian, Salarian, Krogan and Human. I think we should get that opportunity at least once to have a truly unique character like we are able to in the Dragon Age series.

there's a youtuber (who i cant remember the name of) who has done a MEA 2 years later (or something like that) where he goes into depth about the issues with the development etc, among other things they didn't share knowledge between the Inquisition team and Andromeda team and Andromeda was remade from scratch so manny times that the effective dev time for the game was just over a year, with 5years worth of work thrown in the bin. try to find it its a good listen.
I'd be happy either way. If I was a Asari or not. Although, I really like Ashley and her romance path, I'd really like to see a child with Shepard and her, IF male Shepard is canon. Otherwise, Liara IS the canon romance, because she can get a child from either male or female Shepard... She makes sense. But another thing to think about. The Asari can live up to a thousand years... And Liara was 50 when Shepard found her on the Knossos system on planet Therum. So Shepards child would be the same age as Liara was in ME1. So all other character from previous games would be really old if not dead...
Question, I’ve heard a lot of theories pointing towards the “destroy ending” based off the teaser trailer, BUT what if they make this game playable from all three endings? That would probably be WAY too big of a story/game to write, but I’m curious what y’all thought. Also, my dog is named Liara, and I want to get a Rottweiler and name him Wrex.
If the geth return, I'm betting a geth program (they are software after all) stowed away on an Andomeda arc. Also, I hope the protagonist of the next game is Conrad Verner.
I've been playing the absolute hell out of the trilogy for the first time in almost a decade. I really forgot how much I loved these games and had them ranked as my favorite game series of all time at one point. I hope ME4 sets a new high water mark.
Has to be Shepard returning. Ryder is a cross between your whiny little brother and the guy who crashes on your couch for the night but can't take the hint to leave the next day and it just gets super uncomfortable.
In theory if you would copy geth code to like notepad and when everything is over just paste it back in to whatever java or python it was running on...
The issues with Andromeda and Inquisition being so wildly different in quality is 100% due to petty inter-office drama in BioWare. I am not even kidding. You would think that, since they needed to have to make some of these systems (third person camera, saves, an inventory, etc.) in Inquisition, the people at the BioWare office that made Inquisition would just... send them over. You know, like good inter-office relationships are supposed to go. That didn't happen. The Inquisition team basically said "no u" every time the office working on Andromeda asked them for help, so they had to go through the same exact issues that the team working on Inquisition did, and figure them out for themselves. They were having to re-do everything that the Inquisition team had already done because the Inquisition team was treating the Andromeda team like a jealous sibling not wanting their younger sibling to outdo them and make them look worse to their parents.
After playing elden ring It would be awesome if they worked with developers of mass affect to develop the most epic adventure with tons of complexity and hidden features you have to discover
I feel it would be a mistake to bring back Shepard. Their story ended with ME 3 end it would cheapen the ending even more bringing them back. Also I feel like even if Shepard survived they deserve a freaking break at this point
They should kill off the Ryder twin who became pathfinder and have Shepard sent to Andromeda. I think there’s a lot of promise in andromeda, it just needs a stronger protagonist and supporting cast. I also don’t want the game to take place in the Milky Way because they’d likely have to make a lot of choices from the original trilogy canon, taking away from your experience as a player if you had chosen something different. Bringing Shepard back and sending him to a new galaxy would only require that they make the destroy ending canon.
I don't think Shep should return. But - you should still be able to upload/transfer your character. That way, for flashbacks or whatever, it IS your Shep. The choices ARE carried over. Shep saved literally everyone so they've had their story.
i don't think shepard should return (maybe i am biased because i did choose the destroy ending at the end of me3), i think we should let him rest as he has already been a hero in the first 3 games), i also think that it wouldn't make any sense to revive him even if they tell us: "oh shepard is a cyborg now". Finally, bringing shepard back (except in the case where he is in a flashback of liara, wrex...) would be really milking the cow, i'm like "shepard is gone let him die in peace he has already sone so much lol".

Call me crazy but I'm thinking the protagonist for Mass Effect 4 will be "James Vega" Everyone seems to forget the he was made an N7 just before the reaper attack on Earth. I'm not saying Sheppard wont be in Mass Effect 4, but I don't think he'll be the protagonist of the game. I feel like Sheppard will be more of an ADM Anderson and Vega will be the focus.
why does ME4's era have to be after the ending of ME3? i find it more probable that the timeline will be set before the events of ME1 and before Shepard.
The main reason I am hoping the game is at least a few hundred years after Mass Effect 3 is so Shepard is gone. If it is in the future then you can still say he survived and had a life after, but they would still be long dead by the time of the new game. I would rather see them as more an ideal and inspirational figure than an actual person.
I really don't care what engine they use as the engine really doesn't matter. It seems many are blaming the engine on Andromeda's bad game. Everything had to be built for Unreal in the beginning as well. Unreal did not have a save system, dialogue options, etc. In fact ME1's level design is atrocious because of it. There are very few static models imported, most of the levels are made from just simple BSP geometry (many level in ME1 are really amateur my first level in Unreal), skyboxes were to old bad skyboxes from older Unreal games, terrain editing was just bad and just randomized in the original game. Supposedly EA are working to improve the Frostbite engine with a dedicated team to make it more malleable for other types of games. A press release was released a while back about this. But at the end of the day engine equate to a better game. Andromeda's main problem was the story and villains where lackluster, but it did some things rights. Pee Bee was arguable up there for one of the best squad mates in the entire series. Play Andromeda for her. She is absolute golden in the game. I really liked that Ryder was insecure. It added some much more to the game. You weren't suppose to always like her and it added real depth to the character that while I loved Shepard never had much range. Ryder wasn't suppose to be so sure of her/his self. Young, inexperienced, and an explorer not a soldier. Dialogue options were are thousand times better in Andromeda as well. The Renegade/Paragon options in the original ME got old for me personally because it made me want to game the system instead of actually role play the character. I really hope that Bioware keeps some of the great things from Andromeda and doesn't just throw everything out.
It's certainly hard to improve upon the Reapers as an antagonist. Andromeda for me wasn't even about the Kett. They provide a necessary source of conflict along with the Scourge, but really Andromeda isn't supposed to be as high stakes as the previous games. I liked the game myself.
I don't know if I want to PLAY as shepherd again but I absolutely want them to return, I want 4 to be the search for shepherd are they an AI now? Alive? It's up to us the new protagonist (maybe shepherd's kid) to find out
LoL there's Geth in Andromeda. We know that from the Mass Effect array they where using to keep an eye on that system. Why does no one bring up the Lazerus project and it's implications that Shep is now immortal? And can we talk about how the Reapers where created to save organic life? Why did they feel that genocide was the answer? And what are the chances that Liara has gone evil? Why is Liara tracking Shep down besides for the obvious? You didn't ask any of the questions I have?
The Geth did not specifically track Andromeda. Here are Quarian's words from the comic: "Their intentions were unclear. They seemed uninterested in Andromeda. But i saw the potential there". The question is why Unclear and why Seemed Uninterested? Why Potential? The answer is simple. The Geth had a lot of different information there about different objects outside the Milky Way. Including information about Andromeda. And the Quarian, among many different information, saw the Potential in Andromeda

I'm still in favor of the Geth shape being a "Geth Ark" mobile frame sent out late with data on the reapers to warn the andromeda initiative. I'm still betting on the story being about building a way to cross dark space to andromeda. And you get to see the Initiative a few years after the end of Mass Effect Andromeda's main storyline.

First, he's not that important a character. Second, he's one of those rare NPCs who can actually die!

The Quarians were there trying to figure out why the star was aging too fast, but what if the Geth were there to test a type of shield technology. And after they knew the Reapers were coming they built a type of shield world or station either on the edge of the galaxy or in between systems. They could have installed a large amount of their programs and then deleted the records from the rest of the Geth to make sure the Reapers could not find it. And if the rest of the Geth are wiped out by the Quarians or from the ME3 ending, the Geth that reemerge from the shield world could want revenge so they could still be an enemy.
If I remember correctly, they did not spend 5 years on Andromeda but just one, because they were creating something like No Mans Sky and it did not work. They scrapped everything and created Andromeda year before deadline

I'd like to see Shepard return in the next game but it depends on how much time has past since the end of ME 3. If it's only a few years (3-5) than maybe play as Shepard but if it's more like 10 years or longer than I'd like to see Shepard to take over the mentor roll that Anderson played in the trilogy.
At 7yrs Vega could be the N7.

I have a really strong feeling that how they're going to portray Wrex and the rest of the Krogan in Mass Effect 4 is going to be very, very, VERY interesting!
For continuity, It should focus on what the AI warned us about; a game on the korgan and geth question, powerful arguments against both organic evolution and synthetics. I would especially like to see how they write the sentient geth - how the rest of the galaxy sees them potentially becoming the torch bearers of the reapers as they ponder their place in the galactic community, so on and so forth. If Shepard controls the reapers, s/he can play avatar.
So touching on the endings from MrHulthen's video. I always generally went with Synthesis because I hate the idea of EDI and the Geth just getting wiped out. But then it's like they're artificial, they can be recreated even with the Destroy ending as you said. Had no idea about the trailer being removed, that is really bizarre, wish we got more transparency like you said. As I said on the Part 1, I would prefer that Shepard is not the playable character. If he returns it should be in NPC form or just not at all.
I'm thinking, instead of Shepard, have the ability to play whatever alien you like. And as an easter egg, Run into Shepard if he was still alive (maybe with a mission or two) kind of like Hawke on Dragon Age Inquisition...

My answer to those questions and questions of my own:
1. The Geth can return as it is just a matter of creating new code, aka programs, with the learned lessons of the past (EDI was willingly to sacrifice herself to pemanently stop the Reapers);
2. Mike Gamble tweeted the teaser will return when they find a way to bring it back with all the prior reactions (copy right or they will add something else though it still doesn't rule out issues with Bioware);
3. Bioware is as transparent as an ice cube meaning, that while you can see through the cube there are still sections that are hidden from view and that includes why the lack of more post launch technical support for the MELE;
4. Andromeda had a messy development and that came from ME2, it was just that we didn't noticed it because we were so enamorated with the game;
5. Not sure about the use of Unreal Engine but it seems that it is popular with a lot of studios;
6. I hope Shepard returns, it was a s---- way for Bioware to say goodbye to their star player and his team. Hopefully the first sections of the new game are with Shepard and surviving Co post Reaper War and then do a time skip to show them in Andromeda (reason being that he and his LI wanted to travel there for retirement and then comeback to have their final moments in the MW) but this time with Ryder a few months after Andromeda ended (if GTA V can have multiple playable characters imagine that with different teams for ME).

Mass effect just wouldn’t be the same without the Shepard and vacarian I just do not want them being the antagonist- personally I would want it to be a duel story running at the same time e.g liara story and alternate with shepherds story running at the same time till they meet, then you choose which character you want to follow, squad mate or leader , in a way that would be interesting as Shepard may be romancing someone else ( your choice from the legendary edition) instead and how she feels , when she’s hurt but doesn’t say , does she let her feels be known or keep just friends . But the better question is just who is the antagonist or antagonists and will we see more enemies from the omega 4 relay as well s some older ones reappear wanting there old worlds back , some possible allies, others down right hostile or worse start there own cleanse the galaxy . But one thing I think a lot of people have forgotten is the rachni were and older race that have outlived three different cycles, the queen once said that the machines song influenced there race multiple time as a way to ware-down that cycle resources , they manage to colonise multiple systems and possibly in self defence or 3rd part influence did a increadavle job that the council had uplift a race to fight back What if after the war the rachni became the force that managed to connect the galaxy again , the central core of the ships navigation system instead of an ai or synthetic. But it shouldn’t end just like that. This race knows what may lay beyond the know system in the space between dark space, what if the queen and her knowledge made them prepared and resist never to be used again , but as an equal. Bathe keepers are famous as being bugs that could do the impossible, what if the rachni are the same and that interstellar communication was just only the start
Well remember the Geth are just data who can move into individual platforms, servers etc. They have insinuated before that they have redundant servers as a backup AND that Geth are spread out all over the galaxy so some Geth 'may' not have been affected. The Geth technically don't have to be gone. I sort of think/hope they eventually find Shepard. And remember, Shepard is partly cybernetic, so they could either try to rebuild or try incorporate part of Shepard into the Geth?.. maybe, hopefully? I guess thats me hoping for something amazing, like bringing back the elusive Warden, who was the main character, but silently disappeared into legend.
Could have geth platforms outside the milky way as well. Far enough out that they would be unaffected. Many easy ways to write the geth in.
Honestly, it makes the most sense for them to go with the Destroy ending because of all the stories and conflicts that can happen and plus Shepard survives.
Doesn't make much sense for Synthesis if everyone is happy and understanding of eachother. Control doesn't work either because if Shepard eventually loses sight because theres no guarantee he/she wouldn't, then we'd be right back to where we were in the original trilogy.
I think that the teaser was removed because of copyright possibly. Maybe they had a voice they weren't authorised to use? BUT ALSO, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a BioWare thing.
I'd like Shephard to return but more as a mentor to the new main protagonist. I mean, the events from all 3 games where really weighing on him/her mentally and physically, also maybe he/she comes back due to a revival of a stasis pod (as I've seen that theory mentioned) but due to the destroy ending (if it's canonized) destroying alot of the mechanical/technological pieces in his/her body that cerberus used to help bring him/her back, he/she doesn't have full use of their body so they can only be there in a mentorship role. Idk just my thoughts, a good way to bring Shephard back but also have a new protagonist for the new games.

I thought about this for a while, I actually really like Andromeda's dialog wheel. I felt like it could (sometimes) give a bigger range to express the player character besides either being good or bad Shepard. It will certainly need some tweaks of xourse, but I think it has some real potential! While "Paragon" and "Renegade" checks can be tweaked by actually investing skill points in them, similar to ME1.
I suppose I'm saying I want mass effect to be a bit more RPG like, hah.
I agree, Andromeda's dialogue wheel has a lot of potential, and in Andromeda was bad because they wrote it bad. But since ME4 will be developed by the main ME Team that developed the original trilogy instead of some side team, I want to see what they do with this new dialogue wheel. And I also want to see a progression more like ME1 return as well.
I actually preferred Ryders portrayal since he/she is kinda just thrown into the role as a leader when they never meant to be one and you have to do your best to keep everyone afloat. Andromeda had so much potential but the shit launch and cancelled support fucked it all up
I know I’m late but what if they are hinting at a prequel to all the mass effect games, where we see the morning war play out possibly as a quarian or sone other alien species because humans hadn’t discovered galactic travel yet. I doubt commander Shepard comes back but this allows for them to bypass all the choices you made in ME1, ME2, and ME3 and allow you to start fresh.
Imagine getting to create a new character from scratch with a new trilogy but with Shep and characters from Sheps story still very relevant. But this new character can be any of the main races, Asari, Turian, Salarian, Krogan and Human. I think we should get that opportunity at least once to have a truly unique character like we are able to in the Dragon Age series.

there's a youtuber (who i cant remember the name of) who has done a MEA 2 years later (or something like that) where he goes into depth about the issues with the development etc, among other things they didn't share knowledge between the Inquisition team and Andromeda team and Andromeda was remade from scratch so manny times that the effective dev time for the game was just over a year, with 5years worth of work thrown in the bin. try to find it its a good listen.
I'd be happy either way. If I was a Asari or not. Although, I really like Ashley and her romance path, I'd really like to see a child with Shepard and her, IF male Shepard is canon. Otherwise, Liara IS the canon romance, because she can get a child from either male or female Shepard... She makes sense.
But another thing to think about.
The Asari can live up to a thousand years...
And Liara was 50 when Shepard found her on the Knossos system on planet Therum.
So Shepards child would be the same age as Liara was in ME1.
So all other character from previous games would be really old if not dead...

Dragon Age Inquisition was and still is significantly more buggy than Andromeda in my experience
Question, I’ve heard a lot of theories pointing towards the “destroy ending” based off the teaser trailer, BUT what if they make this game playable from all three endings? That would probably be WAY too big of a story/game to write, but I’m curious what y’all thought.
Also, my dog is named Liara, and I want to get a Rottweiler and name him Wrex.
If the geth return, I'm betting a geth program (they are software after all) stowed away on an Andomeda arc.

I've been playing the absolute hell out of the trilogy for the first time in almost a decade. I really forgot how much I loved these games and had them ranked as my favorite game series of all time at one point. I hope ME4 sets a new high water mark.
Has to be Shepard returning. Ryder is a cross between your whiny little brother and the guy who crashes on your couch for the night but can't take the hint to leave the next day and it just gets super uncomfortable.
In theory if you would copy geth code to like notepad and when everything is over just paste it back in to whatever java or python it was running on...
The issues with Andromeda and Inquisition being so wildly different in quality is 100% due to petty inter-office drama in BioWare. I am not even kidding.
You would think that, since they needed to have to make some of these systems (third person camera, saves, an inventory, etc.) in Inquisition, the people at the BioWare office that made Inquisition would just... send them over. You know, like good inter-office relationships are supposed to go.
That didn't happen. The Inquisition team basically said "no u" every time the office working on Andromeda asked them for help, so they had to go through the same exact issues that the team working on Inquisition did, and figure them out for themselves. They were having to re-do everything that the Inquisition team had already done because the Inquisition team was treating the Andromeda team like a jealous sibling not wanting their younger sibling to outdo them and make them look worse to their parents.
I just want MrHulthen and Big Dan as squadmates in ME4/5.

After playing elden ring It would be awesome if they worked with developers of mass affect to develop the most epic adventure with tons of complexity and hidden features you have to discover
I feel it would be a mistake to bring back Shepard. Their story ended with ME 3 end it would cheapen the ending even more bringing them back. Also I feel like even if Shepard survived they deserve a freaking break at this point
They should kill off the Ryder twin who became pathfinder and have Shepard sent to Andromeda. I think there’s a lot of promise in andromeda, it just needs a stronger protagonist and supporting cast. I also don’t want the game to take place in the Milky Way because they’d likely have to make a lot of choices from the original trilogy canon, taking away from your experience as a player if you had chosen something different. Bringing Shepard back and sending him to a new galaxy would only require that they make the destroy ending canon.
A theory i believe is that a part of geth went travelling to Andromeda and so they werent in milky way Galaxy

I don't think Shep should return. But - you should still be able to upload/transfer your character. That way, for flashbacks or whatever, it IS your Shep. The choices ARE carried over. Shep saved literally everyone so they've had their story.
i don't think shepard should return (maybe i am biased because i did choose the destroy ending at the end of me3), i think we should let him rest as he has already been a hero in the first 3 games), i also think that it wouldn't make any sense to revive him even if they tell us: "oh shepard is a cyborg now". Finally, bringing shepard back (except in the case where he is in a flashback of liara, wrex...) would be really milking the cow, i'm like "shepard is gone let him die in peace he has already sone so much lol".

Call me crazy but I'm thinking the protagonist for Mass Effect 4 will be "James Vega" Everyone seems to forget the he was made an N7 just before the reaper attack on Earth. I'm not saying Sheppard wont be in Mass Effect 4, but I don't think he'll be the protagonist of the game. I feel like Sheppard will be more of an ADM Anderson and Vega will be the focus.

why does ME4's era have to be after the ending of ME3? i find it more probable that the timeline will be set before the events of ME1 and before Shepard.

The main reason I am hoping the game is at least a few hundred years after Mass Effect 3 is so Shepard is gone. If it is in the future then you can still say he survived and had a life after, but they would still be long dead by the time of the new game. I would rather see them as more an ideal and inspirational figure than an actual person.
I really don't care what engine they use as the engine really doesn't matter. It seems many are blaming the engine on Andromeda's bad game. Everything had to be built for Unreal in the beginning as well. Unreal did not have a save system, dialogue options, etc. In fact ME1's level design is atrocious because of it. There are very few static models imported, most of the levels are made from just simple BSP geometry (many level in ME1 are really amateur my first level in Unreal), skyboxes were to old bad skyboxes from older Unreal games, terrain editing was just bad and just randomized in the original game.
Supposedly EA are working to improve the Frostbite engine with a dedicated team to make it more malleable for other types of games. A press release was released a while back about this. But at the end of the day engine equate to a better game.
Andromeda's main problem was the story and villains where lackluster, but it did some things rights.
Pee Bee was arguable up there for one of the best squad mates in the entire series. Play Andromeda for her. She is absolute golden in the game.
I really liked that Ryder was insecure. It added some much more to the game. You weren't suppose to always like her and it added real depth to the character that while I loved Shepard never had much range. Ryder wasn't suppose to be so sure of her/his self. Young, inexperienced, and an explorer not a soldier.
Dialogue options were are thousand times better in Andromeda as well. The Renegade/Paragon options in the original ME got old for me personally because it made me want to game the system instead of actually role play the character.
I really hope that Bioware keeps some of the great things from Andromeda and doesn't just throw everything out.
It's certainly hard to improve upon the Reapers as an antagonist. Andromeda for me wasn't even about the Kett. They provide a necessary source of conflict along with the Scourge, but really Andromeda isn't supposed to be as high stakes as the previous games. I liked the game myself.

The Geth did not specifically track Andromeda. Here are Quarian's words from the comic: "Their intentions were unclear. They seemed uninterested in Andromeda. But i saw the potential there".
The question is why Unclear and why Seemed Uninterested? Why Potential?
The answer is simple. The Geth had a lot of different information there about different objects outside the Milky Way. Including information about Andromeda. And the Quarian, among many different information, saw the Potential in Andromeda

I'm still in favor of the Geth shape being a "Geth Ark" mobile frame sent out late with data on the reapers to warn the andromeda initiative. I'm still betting on the story being about building a way to cross dark space to andromeda. And you get to see the Initiative a few years after the end of Mass Effect Andromeda's main storyline.

I think they took it down because of Mass Effect tv show. But this sucks because a TV defeats the play your way aspect of mass effect. I pray we keep mass effect 4 and not the tv show
