- In this session I decided to hit the hidden woodland stream with the ultralight setup. Straight away you could tell the wood was flooded pretty badly and you couldn't walk through most of it was the water was so deep. The plan was to Walk the bank and try to find structure to cast in. New slacks and snags created by the flooding. It took a little while to find out where the fish were hiding, but when i did it was fish after fish. All of them a good size too!

i dont even fish... but i love watching and listening to this chap.... great programme this is
I never tire of your vids. We’re treated to some cracking footage. I love these small natural waterways - right up my alley. Cheers 🥂
Some nice fish from a tiny stream in flood . Always impressed with you accurate casting. I often wonder how many fish are lost when a river breaches
Usually fish go with the stream if water levels are sinking. Don't think too many of them get lost in an event like that.
England has lots of cracking little rivers i live in Wales and used to travel to England to do any river fishing the river lugg in Hereford has some lovely barbel and chubb plus's most other stuff I love yr video's brilliant stuff
Love watching you doing your stream fishing, always catching something good in size and colour . Great watch 👍

I’ve not had chance to fish my favourite small river for two months. Some big floods during that time so looking forward to seeing what’s changed!
Great video 👍
Seems like a nice peaceful place to put out a line! Great catches and technique

Awesome video as always Chris!! Superb pal …. Smithy
Love fishing in natural places, especially in the uk, we have some great locations of course we are lucky that we have a safe environment to do so.
Love 😆 🤣 😂
I hope i could one day just go fishing everyday, personally i have had really difficult time what comes to family and can just hope recovery for all of them and that i could get myself to travel across around lakes and rivers. Thank you for motivation!
Hope 😆 🤣
Cracking video yet again. Thanks for giving us an idea of weight of fish. Tightlines
Another great video Chris keep them coming 👍
That looks exactly like my local river at the mo. Just inspiring me to get out there. Does the flow not just push your light jig into the margins? Would love you to do some instructional vids one day 🐐🐐
Great filming, drone footage is awesome.
Another great video mate it , it must be both challenging and fun to relearn the small rivers after a flood ,beautiful fish very healthy lookin, keep it up mate I Always look forward to your vids 😁👍
Another great session😊
I'm so jealous of the rivers and streams around you! I don't know of anywhere like that here in South East Kent! I might have to move up north!
You arę the best.
Never never say please stay on................🙂 happened to me a few times and, well if it wasn't hard enough loosing one. Great content, thanks for your vids and please keep em coming.
Keep up the good work mate

Great video as always, I love your channel.
Congratulations on being in love with another man
Great video and I have never seen someone loose two fish with one cast in a video before..
Great video as usual you should come to norfolk and film one on the broads?
Cracking fish from that tiny stream, great fun!
Great video again Chris!
Nice bit of 'fall' fishing Chris 😂
Good stuff Chris
New video, I click like 👍🏻
Great video and some really nice fish mate
Watching the YPC comp mate rooting for you! 💪💪💪🎣🎣🎣
And the net scenario had me in stitches! 😂😂😂😂
Just got a new Abu Garcia devil spinning rod 10-30 g today and finally got back down the canal since last October feels good to finish the day with this
awsome video Chris. love your videos
Great video m8 good luck with the tournament buddy
Impressive fishing
Beavers need to be reintroduced to make more areas that flood in woodlands . This would prevent flooding to a large degree and give us some excellent angling areas
Absolutely! Hoping for more successful introduction schemes like the one in London a few weeks ago
@@RowdyTheHitman hope nonsense go do it
@@matimus100 how? Get some from the pet shop?😂
Be careful for what you wish for...
Very happy with my choice .Thanks@@WSFScotland
nice video well done.
Bonsoir , c'était bien 👍
Great schwalbe at the end 😁
You should've got a yellow card for it 😛
Again! Great video🔥
Love your videos mate. Really great fishing 🎣 I've been similar on the Itchen in Hampshire and it's surprising what you get on a lure post flood!
Hope to bump into you one day on the bank
Do you mate men in the uk 🇬🇧?
@@matimus100 no, your mum does. I've got her here if you need a chat 😘
Great video can you do one using the crazy fish tough 2” soft plastic
Thanks
Crazy how easy you make it look .. iv been trying jiggin since watching your micro lures videos but it’s not defo not as simple as you make it look
Them fish where in mint condition.🎉🎉
Could have been worse could have had the fish on the bank and lost the net 😂. This one seems to be doing well for staying with you even more impressive that you hooked it to get it back in the YPC.
7:52, at least you have a net... i wonder what the ratio of escaped fish to lost nets is 😄
Always fun with you, your fish just see you and say, hey cath me if you can, be safe mate.
The Mike Tyson fish do
@@The_ginger_fisherman nice one mate,I'm off on my first proper Carp Fishing trip, for 12 years, and it's so warm...crazy mate, all the best Chris.
Great video man? What did you do to your finger? Hope it heals asap
in denmark lure fishing for chub is not a known method. am very impressed you are able to pull out such great specimens on lures.
Hvad er en chub på dansk?
@@simonpetersen8216 En Rimte. Såvidt jeg ved kan de kun fanges i de jyske åer og vandløb :)
What I normally do for big, big chub is use live minnows. Get a minnow, put it on a smallish hook and free line it into the flow. No need for weights or shot. You just feel the line. I've had big perch with this method too. Try it. Greetings from England!
What net are you using mate? Been looking to replace my snapper with something like that.
Me and my 9 year old son watch your videos every night together we love em we are just getting set up for piking fishing trying to find where to go 👍
Just seen your comment, I hope mine inspires you to go and get that pike ! Stop thinking about where to go ... just go ! Your 9 year old son will just be happy casting and being out with his dad! A fish would be a bonus! Get out there and let your lad lose a fortune off lures 😂
Hi pal awesome video I hate to be that guy but stop reeling when the fish is taking line!
On my local river i caught a 94 cm pike bro on a 12 cm white soft lure
Love watching you brother 😎 like the David Attenborough of fishing 🎣 ace 😂😎👍👌🇬🇧♥
But ALOT better 😎👍👌
Nice, what strength braid and leader do you use for this type of fishing please?
Great video Chris. Don't you think chub and mullet look a lot alike ?
The nice 🎉
Hello people, I’m looking for some new places to fish and I was wondering if someone could recommend somewhere near Altrincham?
What is that chrome shad you were using?
Cracking vid Chris. What lb braid are you using on this ultra lite setup?
You should have a fish tank or a fish pond
Are you using a soft wire trace or fluorocarbon leader with what weight braid ?
Drone shots in da hizouse
@the_ginger_fishermen could I ask wer u from and do u fish all over the uk or the locals ner u thanks bro
That was a nice pearch wat r those other fish called
Fooking chub bro
Is it more common to lose fish on lures? I only do a couple sessions a season before go back to bait fishing , which is what I prefer, but I always seem to lose more fish lure fishing.
Did a 618 please stay on lol
could you tell me what landing net that is?
Need to rename this channel “The Ginger Lure Fisherman”
More mushrooms please Chris ❤
Kissey Kissey fish Kissey
slowly giving up on fishing me all the lakes i went through today have all closed, or all shut down, starting to create a list of gear so i can sell it now
Never sell your kit! I had a few friends do this and 5 or so years later wanted to get back into it so had to start from scratch 👍🏻
I need to know we’re u fish!! I can only have a little river about 12 feet wide and 3 feet deep
Learn some etiquette mate, find your own waters and do the hard work yourself. I’ll give you a clue….the River Thames is a good start for you….I think it’s 215 miles long so you should be able to find some fish there. Good luck. 😊
Watched the YPC vids 👍
Why oh why did u not measure and report your chub during eps3 🥴🥴 missed out on bonus points 😩 could prove costly 🙁
With that pike I don’t think it’ll matter now
I dont get why you fold the net up after you catch 😂
👍👍👍👍
♥️
What rod are you using
Is this river erewash??
What lure are you using?
Why do you fish right handed but net left handed, it makes it harder?
Do you always C&R?
That net needs a bit of WD40 😂
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I suppose that when the water receads back to ankle hight all those fish will die then ? 😢
nooo these fish are always in the river. There's random deep holes on the bends and behind fallen tress where these chub usually reside when the water is at its normal level. When it goes back down they'll just go back to their usual hideouts.
they probably will retreat back into the larger river that they came from
@@TheMortalKombatent- those fish will always be found in the small rivers and brooks.
I fish a brook much smaller than this with 3-4lb chub, 8lb pike and loads of perch.
Show them how to it ginge
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
:o)❤
How can you tell what sex the Chub The Perch is please a He ?
