If the car has a lift pump (electric pump in the fuel tank) then yes you can cycle the ignition a few times to prime… however …in this case there is no lift pump… so you need to manually bleed the fuel system….. hence the video.!
İ had fuel filter replaced and alternator, vehicle doesn't start now shows up code p0087 for low fuel pressure rail, the pipes going to the fuel filter are off and when cranked no fuel is coming to the pipes as well. What can the issue be?
@@Chris_CDB bought 8mm tube but didnt get good seal. I didnt disconnect the in and out tubes, likewise i filled up the reservoir when i put the new filter in. So just started it and no probs !!
Thanks. Doing this tomorrow. Thought I would be a real man and check YT first 😀
You dont need to disconnect the return line at all but everything else is spot on cheers for the help 👍
From someone who has done hundreds…. You may get lucky.. (which it seems you did), but most won’t and you will need to pull the fuel through the pump.
Good job....cheers.
Great video , thanks for sharing
Not a problem! Good to know it helped!
Good thanks
No problems!
Is it really necessary to vacuumsuck? Isn't it possible to cranck the engine like in a petrol car?

Ok, i see.
Do you by the way know what inner size on the hose i need to use on the connections?

The fuel system will need bleeding as per this video, there is no pump in the tank to prime the system.
Which year model
He said 2013
What size of tube do i need to attach to the return tube to bleed / get rid of the air ?
10mm ?
10 or 8 mm will do the trick.

I just cranked it until it started, they are a self-bleeding system.............doh!
Seems 13k people disagree with this statement…!
Worst. Hose clips. Ever.
Pretty standard across the motor trade to be honest
@@Chris_CDB Mine are snapped, and I have to use a screwdriver to get it in and out. I could design a better clip myself.
Maybe do that and get onto the motoring big boys with your improved design.!
@@Chris_CDB Meh I got better things to design 😉
