- Balandra Beach (aka Playa Balandra) in La Paz, Baja California Sur is the best day trip you can take from Cabo San Lucas. A road trip here is one of the best things to do while in Cabo or the Los Cabos area. The clear, shallow waters and unspoiled beach make you feel like you are in paradise.

What if you wanted to stay there? Hotels?
There are plenty of hotels and airbnbs in the city of La Paz, which is the capital of Baja California Sur. It is only a 30-40 minute drive from the beach. I was considering staying at a hotel there the night before, but logistically it didn’t work for my specific plans.
