I don't think you have tasted Malaysian food yet. for example, you should try our national dish Nasi Lemak at Wanjo Restaurant or Kak Chuk stall at kampung baru KL... There is a reason why Malaysia's Roti Canai is the number one bread in the world. and Asam Laksa Penang recognized by CNN as the world's no.7 best food. and many more... among the best street food... small roadside stalls, and many more... malay malaysians food, chinese malaysians food, indian malaysians food, etc... that's how to really taste malaysian food. not only from food delivery service, or fancy lookin restaurants...
@@LanzFrancis I'm a vegan so can't eat anything haha, and also not a food vlogger. But yea I wish I got to taste more local food🙏🏽
KL is also perfect because AirAsia global hub is here.
Your first 30 seconds footage of this video is absolutely excellent. I don't think I've seen KL like I see from your drone view. Brilliant angle.
Thanks so much🙏🏽
@@JooseTheNomad 😀
@@JooseTheNomad Merry Christmas to you. 😀
It depends what you want. KL is like a cross between BKK and SIN. The best part is English is spoken widely at a high level. Shopping is amazing, and sales are insane. As a flight hub, it's cheaper. Though take the express airport train, as drivers on the expressways are nuts. Had a couple of nail biting rides. Now always take the train to Sentral.
I do not agree about fashion and prices. Iam Dutch I love Msia and KL I’ll visit it again into 2 weeks for many times before. Even this year several times. But fashion are more expensive than in my country the Netherlands. Asians especially from China come to my country for shopping in sale time.
@@NoorNoor-ul5zh Where can you shop cheap from fashion in NL? Why Chinese go to NL for sales? These are not chinese made?

Absolutely not underrated, literally on the top 10 most visited cities in the word. Surpassed new york, seoul and tokyo.
Wow, really??
the number a bit inaccurate, most only use KL as transit city tho. But it should still be on top there of course
Underrated in the sense that it is not that well known and hyped in the West. Nothing like Singapore or Dubai. But that might be for the best for KL.
You can venture outskirts of the city centre for more nature and even waterfalls. KL is surrounded by hills, so theres waterfalls within 1 hour from the city centre.
Oh nice, good to know🙏🏽
It is a valley. So surrounded by forest
Beautiful footage - definitely need to visit more of the parks during my next visit. Great video!
Thank you!
Great photography and editing. You really kept the video moving an interesting. Never a dull moment or a shot that lasted too long.
Thanks so much🙏🏽
Thanks for sharing. KL is such a user friendly city, with a good vibe as you say. I'm looking forward to chilling out there again.
We stayed at Ceylonz too and lovedddd it. We will stay there every time we return to KL if we can. Our room had a view of Petronas Towers and Menara 😍
Nice😍🙏🏽
KL is so green...😮
Yeah it's so nice!
this wasa a great video!! thanks! we reserved a room in that building for august so great to get to see it!
Thank you! Enjoy😊🙏🏽
I love KL - my favourite city. Then I love Bangkok and Singapore. I just love SE Asia in general whether it is Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines etc
Me too🙏🏽
Great video! Really helpful
Thanks, glad to hear🙏🏽
You haven't try to taste Malaysian national food like Nasi Lemak, Nasi Kerabu, laksa, teh tarik, and various street foods like roti canai, Ramly Burger, satay etc which are classy and tasty.. MALAYSIA is a melting pot of Asian and Western foods and cuisines and also rich in cultures..MALAYSIA is truly Asia and definitely is a unique country with diversity thus you can't compare it with others especially in the SEA countries.. KL is a city of contrast and a city that never sleeps.. it's charming, sophisticated, well organized, modern with beautiful skyscrapers and landscapes (btw you forgot to mention the 2nd tallest building in the world i.e. Merdeka 118 at the foreground of the place that you stayed).. KL is literally less polluted, cheapest petrol and gas in the SEA and warm and friendly people around.. ❤🇲🇾✌️😎
Hes obviously vegan
Ye is a vegan ffs
Great video - thank you
You're welcome🙏🏽
I really like your videos where it’s really beautiful! Super sharp images and clear voice recording. Enjoy your stay in Malaysia and you may try to go to some other interesting places like Langkawi , Cameron Highlands or Pahang National Park.

I love the vlog of the Malaysia! Now I want to go. Do you have the link of the Airbnb you stayed?
Thanks! Yes: abnb.me/cgj4T0TgtHb
I really like your honest opinion, by which I can know the real life
Thank you😊
Malaysian foods are great and cheap just that all the food you ate aren't Malaysian foods. We don't eat those food. Also, KL is a metropolitan city so can't compare to resort city like Bali or some small town in Vietnam in terms of pricing and lifestyle. And if to compare with Bangkok, anyone who likes entertainment should pick Bangkok over KL cause KL is more towards business, education, health and family oriented city.
If you want to raise your kids then KL it is. KL is also an affordable luxury city where you can live comfortably in an ultra modern condo with spectacular view compared to other cities around the world where you have to pay arms and legs for a luxurious lifestyle.
KL have always been underrated and unpopular compared to other SEA cities and I love it that way! Hope you enjoy your stay. Cheers!
Yes I know, it's hard to find local food spots sometimes as a vegan in a new place. Thank you🙏🏽
@@JooseTheNomad sorry, didn't know you're a vegan
Go to Brickfields near the KL Sentral station. There are a lot of vegan places there. Enjoy KL!
@@drtraveljsy thank you🙏🏽
Do you know that most Malaysian food sellers can cook a vegan version dish as per your requirement. JUST ASK. Most probably you will be entertained.
BTW, there are a large selections of Malay, Chinese or Indian food that are actually vegan friendly. AGAIN, just ask.
Just watch European/ American vegans enjoying Malaysian food in their youtube channel.
My other account was being weird, thanks for the info on the mic! currently looking at options for multiple wireless mics.
Ones that don't pick up every sound on the planet 😂
Hahahaha no worries! Yea I haven't tried other ones but this one has been perfect so far😊
Hello, are both of you twins? Or siblings? Because your faces look alike.
I never knew that Malaysia is such a beautiful place. Awesome.
Yeah right?🙊
Subhanallah, looks beautiful. Hope to stay there for some months
Yeah it is. And of course, nice Masjids. If you're on the freeway, you'll see a star, then 2, then 3, then 5 so you know there's a masjid there turn off. Plus halal of course. And the people are super nice, and if you know some locals, then they'll take you to the best restaurants.
Tq bro, welcome tu Kuala Lumpur, truly asiaaa
KL is growing so fast with some of the most impressive skyscrapers and global businesses on earth. It's nice to be part of that rapid growth.
I'm a Malaysian, and your view on KL is quite correct. It's not a place for beach lovers like Bali, for me, it's suitable for you like Langkawi, Perhentian Island, or Semporna Sabah, but his hotel is more expensive than KL
Thank you🙏🏽
@@Natalie_Chu-SG Disgusting no KL is a city suitable for those who are educated and have a career not like your arrogant country but zero brain😁
@@Natalie_Chu-SGGeez, are you singaporean? Bc you're rude.
@@Natalie_Chu-SG Haha, you are just a kid who is stressful with your study in depressing life in a tiny island of Singapore. Poor you, your country is stealing your childhood kid. Hope you will appreciate more your life when you grown up. Meanwhile other Singaporean adults crossing to Malaysia for cheap petrol, better food and nature in every weekends.

Malaysia - 26 million.
Thailand - 24.6 million.
Singapore - 11.3 million.
Vietnam - 11.2 million.
Indonesia - 9.9 million.
Philippines - 4.6 million.
Cambodia - 4.4 million.
Laos - 2.4 million.
Too bad and unlucky and unfair you miss the best food of Malaysia, I understand some people like apples, but some like oranges, you are right and I totally agree with you KL is the most underated city in Asia.
Yes I ate some really good food when I was leaving but it didn't make it to the vlog unfortunately. Thanks🙏🏽
Great video ❤
Can you tell us the name of the camera you use
Thank you🙏🏽 I film with iPhone 15 pro now :)
What camera do you use?? I am so curious, the quality is amazing! And it seems easy to take with you such as on a run. Is that a rodecaster mic too?
Iphone 15 pro with DJI Mic😊
Hey I didn't know they charge to go to the eco park under KL tower.. It used to be free of charge😊
16:54 As I know, most digital nomads under ‘DE Rantau digital nomads visa programme’ prefer staying in #Penang Island ( #Georgetown ) than Kuala Lumpur & there’re digital nomads stayed in #Langkawi Island as these 2 islands have international airports.
Nice🙏🏽
Bali and chiang mai is the digital nomad hub unless mm2h is more people friendly, not money friendly.
Not really to be honest. Most expats decide to choose KL over Penang. Penang is nice for retirees.
The travel insurance you use, Safety Wings, have you ever had to use it? If yes, was it an easy process? You got your money back etc?
Most restaurants that you went are cater to tourists or business customers, so most food you tried were not typical local food, they are just fusion food. You have yet to venture out to really try the local food and many other things and places. Malaysia has so many places that you can explore. You have yet to know Malaysia at all. I suggest that you get in touch with some locals or some expats that have lived here for sometime who communicate with the locals, and know Malaysia well.
You seem like such a nice guy. i like your videos
Thanks a lot🙏🏽

@@JooseTheNomad that's why vegan can't review our food accurately. because most our food base on chicken, beef, fish... so, please dont compare our food.. unless you say specifically, vegan food. for me, its not fair.
@@LanzFrancis I didn't try to "review" your food. Just sharing my own experience
@@JooseTheNomad you just did... its okay then... but maybe next time you should mention that you are vegan... just in case misunderstanding...
I agree, you should lead with you are vegan as it is a “privileged choice” to be vegan and that will increase your cost in these cities as it’s mostly only guaranteed in more expensive cafes. You can eat sooo well + so affordable if you aren’t picky or vegan but you won’t have a list of ingredients or commitment to it being vegan. Curious did you find it limited for vegan food in Da nang? I would assume most soups are meat/fish based unless you were aiming for vegetarians/vegan menus
Wowww....
Which is the best seasons / months? (Less rain)
Your apartment looks great, I can’t wait to go and stay there. How long do you plan to stay in Kuala Lumpur?
Nice! Just 10 days😊
@JooseTheNomad better than some folks at 24 to 48 hours and start doing review videos. Makes me laugh.
Bear in mind, the ringgit fell from 4.20 to 4.80 to 1 usd. The food cost went up. It is costly for locals too if imported food stuff.
Early morning is the best time to be in KLCC.. not many people like at night.
Yes I agree☀️🙏🏽
And to avoid bloody illegal photographers who are not locals mostly

I'm Irish, I lived in KL for 2 years. You get to see all of Asia if you live in Malaysia. The food is great there too. Hah, sometimes I think about Malaysia when I am in the cold depths of the Irish winter.

KL is not a city of digital nomad. But it is good for people who want to settle down permanently, like expats or retirees. For that reason, probably you can't find many friends because there is simply not many of the kind (digital nomad) in KL as compared to places like Bali and Da Nang.

Just let it underrated. Too much foreign tourist will affects local culture, ecosystem, & environment.
Is it still 0 income tax for digital nomads in KL?
Was it 0 previously??
Do not stay in the cities. Go to towns like ipoh, taiping, kuching, kota kinabalu. Obviously cities will cost more example jb, georgetown, kl.
Just a note that if you a vegan and travelling to KL its not that hard to find food. There are vegan Chinese restaurants to serve the vegan Taoist community, and if you go to Petaling Street you should eat at The Hungry Tapir. The Malaysian Platter there is super awesome and completely vegan. Sala in Hartamas serves delicious vegan local noodles and nasi lemak too. And really, most restos can special make a vegan version, just ask. Esp as you are white they will be happy to entertain your request lol.
I don’t agree with you about Fashion and exclusive brands. Iam from the Netherlands. And Exclusive brands are more expensive in Msia. Sometimes iam even shocked 😅 Simple Armani jacket in the Netherlands about 150 Euro! And in KL I saw the same for 2000RM 😂 For exclusive brands even Gucci, LV, Max Mara, Tods, Europe is much cheaper. I don’t come for the fashion but for relaxing, enjoy the food and weather.
It's strange that all the stuff you have eaten aren't typical malaysian food at all. Malaysian food is among the best in the world.
I just want to say one thing. you have nice eyes 😅😁
