- Flaming Cliffs 2024 is designed for new virtual pilots to DCS, and veteran players looking to expand their hangars. In addition to including the eight existing aircraft from Flaming Cliffs 3; F-15C, A-10A, Su-27, J-11, Su-33, Su-25, MiG-29, and MiG-29S, it adds three new aircraft: F-5E FC, F-86F FC, and MiG-15bis FC.

With IL2 moving there with a proper map its a dead end for DCS. They could shift the cold war to the Kola-map and an upcoming Fulda-Gap-map.

The crowd that are too slow or don't have the time to learn ff modules are probably gonna stick with War Thunder for Korean war itch.
ED, thank you for the new planes with the abbrv controls. Sometimes we just wanna jump in and fly without fiddling with the full models.

I hear ya! IMO Su-24 is the biggest gap in DCS, an FC level one would be dope. But my dream is a MiG-29K :D

I've been enjoying my upgrade - what's wonderful is that the F-5E, F-86 and MiG-15 all accept paint scheme files made for their full-complexity versions, allowing for great enjoyment of personally interesting air force schemes.
This is great. I’m all for having an option that’s easier for most people to jump into. More users and money flowing in helps all of us have a better product.

Yes, a resounding yes! I like the high fidelity modules - but i hate the 10year development times. FC types should be all over the map, yet there are so very few. Please they are desperately needed.
At 0:46 just look at the huge difference in textures of Su-25A and the outdated textures of Su-25T, T version really MUST be updated, please ED give some love to your free aircrafts, for the new players.
*Works for me!* One of the great things about these Flaming Cliffs aircraft is that I now have a larger variety of planes my brother can fly when he visits. Great variety and well modeled. Good job!

Are you admiring the exterior of your plane as you flu it. Or are you flying that close to an enemy SU-25T that you can spot the small details in combat?

Love the Mig-15, Sabre and the F-5! Could never justify buying their full versions due to the lack of time, but for FC - these are PERFECT! Would love more FC modules - Mig-21, L-39, Mirage F1, Phantom... And the Helis too.
As cool as clickable cockpits are, i really think that flaming cliffs style aircraft are the perfect sweet spot. Realistic flight models, damage etc but accessible to new players as all controls and weapons employment is bound able on a keyboard and simplified. Plus it would allow shorter development times. I'd like to see more FC3 style aircraft, maybe even ones where all the systems are still classified but can be simulated to a good enough degree this way. FC3 bombers, tankers and transports would be so cool. Most people want to get in combat and flying and have 90% realism level. Not everyone likes digital checklist simulator.
Not supporting DCS until it resolves its ongoing issues with its external developers and makes a statement to the effect that matters have been resolved. A studio is only as strong as its relationships with its partners. Get to it DCS. Finish the priority mission.

This trailer is a masterclass in inducing rush and adrenaline on customers. Really nicely done! Are there also minor updates to the older planes or is this just adding the two new airplanes? Would love to see something like the FC3 clickable mod included in the 2024 version.

@@EagleDynamicsTV Ooh, I'll check these improvements. For me personally AI is a big Priority since I primarily fly Offline or in PvE Servers. I am glad you are still making improvements
Please Please Please not just be a mission pack. Although I'm dying for a full fidelity SU-25, I'll take a FC version with hi-res textures and updated model.
4 years to add 3 existing jets with buttons disabled, I have mixed feelings about the LoMAC project.
Hopefully the flight models of Chukhoi 27/33, J11 and F15C have been slighted improved. Lol at the Eagle pulling 20G and 50 AoA in dogfight

The update pooched the legacy FC3 and disabled all the the aircraft, including the Su27 and the MiG29!
Suggestion for FC5? ED should buy av8, mig 19 and mirage by Razbam and sell them as FC5, no clickable cockpit versions. Then make an av 8b plus, just copy radar and weapons by your F 18 and live Razbam developing only f 15 if they don't have workers.

Has the team at ED thought about bringing some older jets that are hard to get entire information on, or jets that might not seem worth the years of effort to make full fid, like the MiG-25, Su-17, f-94 etc to the FC series? or maybe start making multiple packs of simplified aircraft covering different types or era's of military aviation? Like a cold war USSR pack to allow RedFor to have more diversity? Or a bomber pack allowing bombers to come to DCS? Curious on the Devs thoughts on this as a future?
Oh man... This trailer makes me want to dust off my HOTAS. I have few DCS (A-10C and Black Shark 2) modules but I've always been very overwhelmed of them and studying everything is very time consuming. Maybe FC series would be an easiers approach back to DCS from my point of view? Any feedback from people with same kind of situation than mine would be appreciated :) Really nice trailer like all of them :D
So what's the word on improvements to the aircraft that were already part of FC1? $69 is a lot to pay for a bundle where I already own half the aircraft.

I want a low fidelity Harrier so freaking bad.
I do wish they were at least different variants, rather than being the exact same as the full fidelity aircraft just dumbed down. (Unique aircraft would have been preferred) Still happy Flaming Cliffs is getting some love though.
They have some new Helicopter mods recently, Just found out about AH-1G Cobra and OH-6 dev mods.
The pack would benefit from the addition of a helicopter, maybe one of the older modules like the Gazelle. Then there will be an easy entry point to DCS.

Some years back, Razbam was working on a EEL, haven't heard a thing for years though.

F-86 and Mig-17! The ROCAF F-86 did the first air to air missile kill against PLAAF Mig-17 with AIM-9 sidewinder!
Can't help but notice the very good looking heat blur effect at 1:45. Is it in game or post production?
I don't think I have ever seen CGI / Post Production from Eagle Dynamics, they have some amazing trailers and even youtubers make some awesome videos / short movies but its all captured in game, they have amazing replay features and camera controls, you basically save "Tracks" which are small files, that is your replay, they can be tiny but require you to view them in game, then you can control, capture etc from there while having full control of viewing angles, even from the enemy POV, ground etc, pretty robust.
@@patricks9401 Yes i know, but that effect certainly is not the one we have now, so it either has to be CGI (improbable) or we are getting a new effect :)

Are the original FC aircraft updated for FC4? I.e., is it worth getting if I have FC3 and the F5, MiG AND f86 full fidelity?

@@aztec0112I updated yesterday then used A-10a and Su-33, but I just buy planes not fc3 ever..I got those planes years ago, it might be they needed to reinstall if they already owned fc3. I occasionally reinstall full fidelity Harrier.

Why couldnt we get badly needed REDFOR aircraft in the FC level while waiting for full fidelity options? The MiG-21 has been the only cold war FF module I can think of. Just pay some of the starving mod makers like a hundred bucks and give them access to the SDK and theyd manage to do better than a pair of jets we already have FF versions of.
Now, we can't paly with FC3 without FC2024 ? !
