How would you rate the Marvel movies from worst to best?
Birdman, please do CinemaSins’ take on Star Trek movies from The Motion Picture to Nemesis.
Actually in comics it's explained that Hercules changed his name from Heracles to separate himself from Hera more, Since Heracles means "Honour To Hera"
10:28 I agree with your point here but think it would be better if they do what invincible did have the same story but change some parts
Love your show and wanted to ask you a question, do you know why people didn’t complain about Jane dying, I might be wrong about people not being angry but whenever I heard someone talk about the movie they never seem angry about this fact, I thought everyone would be angry since prior to the movie coming out everyone was hoping mighty Thor would be in the movie and I thought she was a character loved by fans?
Fun Fact: Christian Bale was originally hesitant to take the role of Gorr but he eventually did after his kids begged him to take the role
And the kids now? 16 feet under.
I just wanna I apologize for the knee jerk dislike while completely forgetting the context of the joke I legit thought you were threatening the actors kids or something here’s a like to compensate
@@MamadNobariwdym?
And that's why I never like him in the role. If he doesn't even have the slightest bit of passion, then you know damn well they aren't gonna bother trying.
@@MamadNobari huh?
I realized that you are right about Jeremy attempting to play to the audience based on how he thinks what they thought about the movie.
Exactly. Imo Jeremy’s ego has gotten so big that he genuinely thinks everyone has the same opinion as him
Which is disingenuous on Germ’s part, and that’s exactly what he is.
@@cullubbowzer8095I'd say it's worse. If he had a crystallised opinion on a film that was his own, that would be fine. But I'm guessing he's mostly pandering to the public, pointing to things that gained traction online, not giving his own, honest opinion.
Yeah. It's pretty obvious that he doesn't have that many grievances with the movie. He's clearly reaching for sins because the movie got mixed reviews.
@@cullubbowzer8095 That's not the same thing. You're saying Jeremy thinks everyone thinks like him. The OP was saying Jeremy purposes tailors how he reacts to a movie based on what HE THINKS the general perception was of that movie. You can't say "exactly" and then completely misunderstand what was said lol. Yeah Jeremy has an ego but that's besides this particular point.
Jane getting into Valhalla due to losing her battle with cancer isn't something I thought about and it brought a tear to my eye. I lost my mom to cancer so this movie already touched me in that special way but you just made it that much more specialer.
its something about her having and fighting cancer that makes her worthy. i think the comics go more into depth on that.
I wish they can bring Jane back, but I wouldn't know how they can do that. Might have to look at the comics lore or just make another Jane variant.
The goats were a cool thing from actually Norse mythology, Thor has two talking goats. Tanngrisnir (teeth grinder), and Tanngnjóstr (teeth thin). They do pull his chariot, my favourite thing about them is that Thor eats them every night and then resurrects them. It was a fun cameo for those who know the mythology.
Came to the comments to mention the same thing, I thought that was common knowledge, surprised Birdman didn't know this.
Sounds great for the goats to be killed and then eaten and then resurrected
Yep, you'd be screaming to if your master killed and ate you every night and then brought you back to life only to do it again. I thought the goats were both hilarious and accurate. Then again no books matter to Jeremy and mythology probably doesn't matter to most of the people watching these movies but nice to know the mythology geeks take notice.
@@Marvelfanatic3658 if you’re into Norse mythology it is. They’re mentioned a lot, like when Thor marries Thrym, they pull him to the wedding
@@stellarluna1834Doesn't a kid break one of the goats legs for that "sweet sweet bone marrow" in the Utgard-Loki story?
I like the theory I read somewhere that the reason Strombreaker seems to have sentience and a personality is because Thor planted Groots arm and it started growing, which basically made his hammer a living Groot clone. The magic Uru metal, the magic that flows through it, Groots living wood cells.. it’s kinda like how Vision is a mix of Jarvis, Thor, Ultron, the mind stone… etc. Stormbreaker is a mixture too and is a living magic hammer. Theoretically if given the chance it might grow into a new type of Floral Collosus with a hammer fist..
I like the idea that Stormy is basically a little kid right now, like Baby Groot… feeling jealous and enjoying fun battles and stuff. He’s just a big ol smashy boy who loves his goofy ass dad.
Im gonna be honest lads....
Didnt hate this movie.
I didnt notice the effects were bad.
Didnt hate the ending.
I had fun at the movies with my sister, and I'm not mad about it.
Its always nice to see people say they like a thing rather than repeating the same reasons why they hate it as everyone else your comment is nice
This was a fun movie to watch. I didn't want to watch it for a while but now I don't trust popular opinions.
@@loganmatthews5956I think most didn't like Gorr 's arc because we are a mostly overly religious nation and they don't like seeing someone legit question a god or gods and why they constantly neglect their most devoted worshippers and still expect them to honor and worship them
I think it's a good arc in my opinion, everything should be questioned
31:35 I’d also like to add that at least for the Asgardian kids, THEY’RE ASGARDIANS. A race of gods whose entire culture centres on dying in battle. Odds are they all already know how to fight anyway, especially seeing as we literally see baby Thor on the battlefield. It’s not that hard to figure out these kids would have at least some sort of martial training.
The “people pushing the marvel sucks agenda now” statement is so true. Like the way they’re explaining how it actually sucks just comes off like “the superhero movie genre has been thriving for 15 years,so the golden age is automatically over because the big ending happened to a chapter of it and now everything is on the downhill”
As a previous cinemasins viewer i find these videos very entertaining. Also the reason i stopped watching cinemasins is because i was bored of the dame jokes they were funny the first time i heard them but now they just don't land as they used to anyway keep up the good work your killing it
I used to love CS. Now they're just 20 minute vids of mostly unfunny jokes
I got tired of sins for stuff that were literally answered in the movie had anyone been paying attention
@@cjg1029I got tired a few years back when birdman pointed out they were manipulating scenes for a sin. Like argue the channel is a gimmick or a parody all you want but outright lying to the audience shows a lack of creativity and integrity
Something I JUST noticed, when Thor is giving his power (for a limited time only) to the kids, the way the lightning fans out looks just like Yggdrasil. That's kinda neat.
You bring up a good point about people ignoring everything good about a movie because they personally disliked it. It allows people to downplay a movie further because they're refusing to look at what it did well rather than hyper focusing on it's weaknesses because they only seek to further their biases.
Yup people did it with Eternals, She hulk and Multiverse of Madness
Also because big name content creators did exactly what you said and people blindly follow that.
Same with video games. (The vice-versa works to an insulting degree as well.)
Hey, I liked the parts where Gorr was in it.
Oh yea. The “M-she-U and anti-woke crowd. So annoying. Just right wing weirdos pushing their political opinions when they claim to be unbiased.
I think Taika later mentioned stuff regarding Korg's two dads. In that, his mom adopted him afterwards at some point. Still, should've been mentioned in the movie. Especially since in the same scene, they were clearing up info from Ragnarok regarding Valkryie.
Sin number 185 (and this is if I recall correctly) should also include Wanda's Chaos Magic as an exception in addition to Hela's hands since Wanda managed to break Thanos' sword which (again, if I recall correctly) was made of Uru as well.
Anyway, great video!
Ahhhh. I never thought of it like that. Kinda like how the only thing to really get to Superman is magic.
I don't think that was ever established that Thanos' sword was made from Uru. I think we assumed it was simply because it was able to break a vibranium shield.
Birdman never fails to make a dull day an entertaining one.
18:28 haha I love birdman caught Jeremy admitting he would sin the scene even if it was the other way portrayed in the film,
Another good thing about the quips: Dying while mocking your enemies and making jokes [or singing or reciting poetry] was considered HELLA MANLY in Norse Culture [well not manly how we might see it, more "Extremely Badass"] so quipping while in battle like that is actually pretty Norse.
As an exmormon, Gor's story hit hard for me.
The idea that you've spent your entire life surving a lie can make you angry, which made him an easy target for the nectosword's corruption.
I love this movie so much.
For the people who aren't aware and are liking this comment just because you think all religion is the same; Mormonism is a cult.
Gorr is easily one of my favorite Marvel villains. He is just so morally complex and I love it.
Personally, I was amused by the continuation of the cameo gag from Ragnarok, as it kind of contains the implication that either the Asgardians have lookalikes to Damon, Neil and McCarthy, all fairly well-known actors, or the Asgardians brought the former two to Asgard for purpose of theatrical production in the previous movie, which just seems like silly lengths to go to.
Day 165 of telling th3birdman I appreciate his content
@changotv5847 I was wondering that too 🤔
Who said they had to be consecutive?
@@changotv5847 they aren't consecutive it's every time he uploads
what's your endgame? to get him to reply?
@@changotv5847 asking a question is not clarifying, thats asking for clarification at best
I liked the movie. It wasn't the best ever, but it had it's moments and it did really well at showing the acceptance of loss, moving on, and accepting the next stage of your path even if you think you aren't ready for it.
Oh wow, I never realized something making fun of this gods awful movie can be somehow worse than the movie itself, and yet CinemaSins managed.
The movie was good
@@elvangulley3210t’s not the worst, but it really suffered from lack of time. This movie should not be 2 hr long and really needed to be longer. It needed more scenes to make Gorr more of a threat. His beginning was so good, but we should’ve seen him killing gods like Hela killed many soldiers and Thor’s friends. Plus it needed a tone shift with no comedy or jokes. Ragnarok had this with Odin’s death which was supposed to be comedic but was changed for the better. And it doesn’t really make much sense for Thor character wise to be comedic as Ragnarok since Infinity War and Endgame had him use comedy to hide his pain, it kinda like a reverting
28:38 thanks birdman for clearing up the Stormbreaker thing. Using established movie lore is what you do best! (Besides seemingly know all the comic lore lol)
I go with she lost her battle with cancer. That after the battle and she succumbs to the cancer, she is deemed worthy of Valhalla. Great vid as usual. 😊
0:20 THANK YOU FOR HAVING THIS INTRO WITH THIS AWESOME BANGER! Enjoyed that part when watching the film.
It's been a while since I've watched one of these videos, so let me just say how much renewed respect and admiration I have for Th3Birdman for sitting through the ear-bleeding sound of Jeremy's EWW voice in order to bring these entertaining and informative gems of critical satire to life.
God bless you, sir😂😌
People keep forgetting that Thor is a god associated with lightning, thunder, storms, sacred groves and trees, strength, the protection of humankind, hallowing, and fertility so one of his powers would be a protector so here you quite literally would be giving these kids the power to actually fight properly
Also about the Thorforce: disregarding it entirely anyone who saw Thor 1 could've just assumed its a magic spell he remembered from when he was exiled.
I knew you'd do something about CinemaSins removing a sin for not starting the movie with the Marvel logo only to pad the sin count when it shows up in the middle of the movie because there were plenty of MCU movies that started that way, and they shouldn't have pretended that this was anything new.
has anyone else just stopped watching cinema sins and just watches Th3Birdman instead?
Me
Same here lol
*raises hand*
I liked this movie. They even managed to sneak in Knull despite not having the rights.
Eh?
Yeah I’m in the minority that liked this movie and dr strange 2.
@@ZodzillaPrime the "wielder of the necrosword" the god of light allegedly defeated is Knull, the god of darkness and creator of the symbiotes. The copyright for anything spiderman/venom is in Sony's hands, so they couldn't call the sword All-Black and its previous owner Knull.
I advise to read up their history because it's insane.
I liked your video game analogy. I see it as just being “at work” for a superhero. Days are long and sometimes ya gotta break up the monotony with some brevity, but sometimes it’s go time and ya gotta put your game face on.
I simply cannot get enough of how you spectacularly dissect Jeremy/Cinemasins' bs. I commend your time and efforts with these vidoes, please keep up the excellent work my dude.
Thanks Birdman! I have been really looking forward to this one! I know Thor and Thunder was kinda Bonnie’s at the box office but I honestly rather enjoyed it as it’s Thor trying to paint a path that isn’t just “son of Odin” (aka the perfect Norse God) he has been more or less assigned.
5 EWW CinemaSins in a single Month?! We don't deserve you!
Birdman is grinding.
We have been eating well ❤😁. He deserves all the praise
One of my FAVOURITE things about Marvel’s Hercules is that they explicitly give a reason why he uses Hercules instead of Heracles - he wants nothing to do with Hera, so he literally just adopted the name the Romans gave him. So Jeremy is wrong even if sin 186 was incorrect (which it wasn’t).
Birdman you are seriously the second best part of my CZcams day and I thank you
9:26 ive always held the idea that anytime these series makes a reference to another property, and then feature a prominent actor from said property, that the character they played was acted by someone else. take samuel l jackson, he plays nick fury, but they also make references to star wars. so in my interpretation, mace windu is played by another actor within that universe, instead of samuel l jackson. this goes for every property that is referenced in these movies and shows.
Honestly my only problem with the movie is the tone and waste of Gorr
I agree! He definitely should’ve been in the movie more
Hela felt like more of a threat for me than Gorr did. And honestly I went in expecting the tone to be darker than Ragnarok simply because of how dark Gorr's name sounded. So I was disappointed.
Imo they had a good balance with Ragnarok, but they decided to keep going in that direction towards comedy and lost the balance.
I agree. The film would've benefited from a more serious tone.
I liked this movie when it came out because I expected it to be like Ragnarok. Glad to hear I’m not in the minority because that was genuinely a fun watch. The only thing I would’ve changed is the final act, where Thor could’ve taken Mjolnir and Thunderbolt and the scene played more to Thor’s fear of losing Jane like he did his family and a good amount of his people, drawing a response where Thor drops Muhjoller, unsure of his worthiness. Would’ve been a good callback to his Endgame self and a true test of if he has grown from that.
Christian Bale was very compelling as Gorr. I really did enjoy Love and Thunder. ❤
There is nothing that gives me chills more than Birdman going hard with the intro screen.
This movie desperately needs an extended cut
Gotta love the Birdman one-two punch of uploads.
Excited as heck for Glass Onion.
The fact that Jeremy knows the difference between Heracles and Hercules surprises me because , I know it is mentioned in the book for The Lightning Thief but I don't remember the movie too well, but I'm pretty sure if it was in the movie, Jeremy didn't sin Chiron for telling Percy that Hercules had once wielded Riptide (Anaklusmos) for that same reason because that is also Greek and not Roman mythology
I'm pretty sure in the Perry Johnson movies, riptide was never owned by Heracles or even zöe but was originally poseidons blade he used to turn kronos into mince meat
@@nathanmacrae9199 It's a really poor adaptation of the books, so I'm not surprised. An important factor of Riptide in one of the later books is that it's a pen with a cap and not one of those clicky ones, so when he needs to use a pen to sign a document, he puts the cap on the back of the sword to turn it back into a pen to write with. I'm so excited for the new Percy Jackson series on Disney+ to see a proper adaptation of the books.
@glowstoneunknown same here I'm hoping it at least makes it to the last Olympian
28:19 Is the mic donation still available? Joking aside, I do appreciate you showing how accurate they recreated a panel from the comic story the movie was adapting. Also as someone who watches CinemaWins from time to time, I also believe that He’d give a win to the recreation of the comic panel since he does wins by pointing out little things that people may not notice, and others there little fun things like hugging, x actor is always a win, Beautiful beards and some wins are for his family liking a character.
So incredibly happy you’re doing this video, I genuinely love this movie and it means a lot to me due to certain circumstances at the time of my viewing, keep up the amazing work!
The movie “Last Action Hero” explains the confusion when a character references a movie that the actor is in
Well it somewhat explains it
You're on a roll, Th3Birdman!
you are spoiling us this week with your videos Th3Birdman
Good morning Th3Birdman thanks for another upload
I saw this in the theater with my friends. I enjoyed it.
Wow this is the earliest I’ve ever been! I really like your vids! You’re not only funny, but factual. Awesome work!
Jeremy seems to be ignoring the Last Action Hero's solution to the celebrity paradox. In the fictional universe, they were simply recast as one of the second choices (like Stallone as The Terminator in the Jack Slater-verse).
On the grind, eh? This video (which really exposed Jeremy for his hypocrisy) being announced at the last one, and the next being announced at the sentencing screen... You're on a roll!
hey birdman i want to thank you for getting me into collecting comics.
Welcome to the family :)
@@Th3Birdman thanks, in 2019 it was one of your older vids, can't remember sadly but after collecting x files comics and Indiana jones comics i found out my pops was a big collector in the phantom comics he had the entire collection starting all the way back in 1940s he had to make money and Regets throwing them away, so this year on his birthday i went finding some and gifted him he was extremely grateful , i guess comic books was in my blood the entire time but you made it spark for me , so i collect any second hand comic i come across, like ghost rider, x men etc.

Can I just say- I would do listen to you reading book aloud for hours- your voice is really nice
What a good way to start my birthday. Watching birdman rip cinemasins a new one for sinning this movie. It was a long time coming
Been waiting for this
I have been looking forward to this one
You’re doing justice to our society 🔥
Hey man, I feel like the movie might have worked a lot better had they made Gorr more of a sympathetic character.
Its pretty weird that he would kidnap and terrorize a group of kids after the recent death of his daughter. Great video nonetheless
If he can't have kids, no one can
Well, it wasn't really recent.
Gorr was corrupted by by the sword and his daughter's death wasn't recent. His god butchering took centuries
Also: compared to his comic counterpart, he was pretty sympathetic. In the comics he hadn't been corrupted at all.
Gorr was tainted by the blade he was basicly forced to wield. He went on a crusade against the gods, all in an effort to get to Stormbringer, go to Eternity, and then wish the gods all dead. It was clear he wasn't thinking straight. When they got there, he could of wished it without hesitation, but it was clear that when he got to Eternity to make his wish, the reality of what he had done was catching up with him, leading him to look to Thor, and he then made his choice, being himself in full once more.
I really felt Gorr needed more time. Give us scenes of him killing the gods instead of it being off screen to really highlight how threatening he is. Hela felt more threatening bc we actually see her kill people and those close to Thor. Gorr had so much potential and his beginning I felt was perfect. And one thing this film needed was a tone change to be serious. Just one genuine scene with no jokes or anything. Ragnarok had this with Odin death which was originally going to be comedic but was changed. I didn’t feel that with Love & Thunder. This film really needed more time as 2 hr I don’t think works for MCU films these days
I absolutely loved Love and Thunder personally, never read the comics but you talking about that accurate imagery makes me wanna read the comics even more than I already did
Two videos in a row. Such a good time
Back to back EWWCS, birdman is spoiling us
Dude, Cinemawins is amazing. Pretty sure he DID win that shot.
I literally just watched this movie for the first time today and while I thought the scene with the Thor kids was silly there really wasn't anything inconsistent and I'm just sat here wondering why on Earth Jeremy can sit there and question a literal spell that we've seen once before.
Bman on a roll! We appreciate you fam!
I love your videos, and now I that I blew my back out I can catch up!
16:24 CinemaWins is gold! Birdman would appreciate Lee's work
I was having a good day. Then you uploaded.
Now it's so much better
Waiting for this one 😮💨
Been waiting 😮💨
Great video
I hate when people say that the movie was “wrong” or “insensitive” to make cancer jokes.
As a person with cancer, who did treatment in a cancer hospital… comedy is how 99% of us deal with it. You’ll see old men making dad jokes to cheer up their wives, little kids making knock knock cancer jokes to cheer up their parents… etc. the Jane cancer storyline was actually really realistic in how she dealt with it.
People need to chill out before getting offended on other people’s behalf and making a stink… because no one I know of with cancer was upset by the jokes in this movie. In fact, it kinda felt nice seeing someone deal with it realistically and not be some depressing somber thing where the movie tries to force emotions onto you.
wooooooooooooooooo another banger video!
I just love the inside joke of matt Damon playing loki in thor when he played an angel named loki in dogma
Funny how fans are saying the movie shouldn't be based on the comics but get upset when Secret Invasion isn't true to the source material.
Glad you busted out the hard copy 👌🏾
3:15 you are so right here man. This is also one of the reasons why I stopped watching/reading reviews of movies (except yours ofc). Keep up the good work
Okay, this film for me was good. The comedy was a bit overstepped, but it’s taika directing, so that makes sense. It had a solid plot, good dialogue and some comedy was actually great. Especially the goats. They are hilarious and I just always crack up at them. The only thing I want now is a show or a short film about Gorr killing a bunch of the gods. I think it would just be cool. And btw THANK YOU Birdman. I was getting the feeling that I was the only one who still enjoyed the MCU these days. As always, great video.
That would be a great idea; one of the lacking points of the movie for me was the fact that they didn't utilize him and show more of what he was doing and how he was taking on these amazing beings. A short showing a few brutal/ clever takedowns would be awesome.
2 videos back to back I’m about to cry lol
Love your content man. Plus you mentioned Cinemawins, which I love them too.
Love this channel! Wish I’d found you sooner
Personally, I disliked nearly everything about this movie but I always love seeing B-Man's analysis on movies! Enjoyed this fasho 🙏🏿
Damn back to back days? Hell yeah!
Lol i watched 3 cinema sins video a long time ago and thought it was funny but wrong.... then i found your channel. Bless you! 🎉🙌
I’ve always wanted to ask, is that you performing the guitar solos in some of your intros? It’s great and it’s super cool and i’ve been wanting to ask since the back to the future vids
Keep up the good work. You are doing a job that no one wants, but everyone needs.
Someone get me a cinemawins and thebirdman crossover episode stat, Jeremy would be so upset
I got a hammer hela can hold 😏
I would also like to mention that the applause break is a viable technique. It rewards the audience for sitting through the suspense of a rising action and gives a “break” until the scene continues. It’s also a legitimate technique for stage actors in theatre for the same reason.
Love this vid! And I love that clip around 16:05 I agree I think the MCU does a good job of showing comic audiences exactly the difference between the books and the movie’s storyline . It truly makes it feel like the MCU is just another universe in all of Marveldom. Like the biggest difference between the comics and the movie can be summed up in that image of the fallen god. Korg is there lol. Another example would be Tony leading Peter into a room of reporters like doing a perfect segue into the scene from the civil war comics but Peter walks away instead. Long comment but I totally get and agree with your point :)
I just want to take a moment to honor *Th3Birdman* for that Wuhan joke @24:00. That. Was. Hilarious!!!!! (and most likely true!) 🤣😅😆😍
There were parts i didn't like admittedly. The humour was a little more miss for me but it had some really great moments. The goats yelling when they crashed actually made me burst out laughing.
I thought they handled Lady Thor rather well and Jeremy is an idiot for slamming Jane for making jokes. Sometimes people make jokes to deal with difficult situations or to straight up deny it like Jane did initially.
I've got the same book for the Gorr series. I really enjoyed reading it, and seeing the kind of destruction Gorr brought about. To the credit of adapting comic book stories, I don't think they would've been able to adapt the Godbomb and the other timelines so I can understand changing some of the story beats for the movie.
Speaking of comic books, anyone got some Thor comic recommendations? I already got Ultimate Thor, and the Mighty Thor comic series. I'd love to see the God of Hammers in action
I know this might anger some who in all honesty have better comedic taste than me but the screaming goats made both me and my dad laugh out loud
While i had my issues with the film, mostly the pacing felt rushed and it focused too much on the comedy, i still enjoyed it. Also cant wait for next to see how Jeremy cant enjoy or understand a fun mystery film that gave us one of the best meme formats ever.
