- A retro CP Rail Television commercial that aired during the December 4th, 1984 CFL western semi-final on CBC. CP was a one of the games sponsors and still sponsors the CFL to this day. The music is a variation of the "Steel Wheel" song on a vinyl given out to employees in 1983.

The CFL on CBC aired these TV spots frequently for many years...today the CP patch is present on EVERY CFL uniform! No wonder the Canadian Pacific Railway must be friends with the CFL for many years, eh?

For the ones who want to know Cp Rail 6038 was new in 1983 so that's why it looks new
6038 is now stored unserviceable and it was retired in 2018

Did anybody work for cp rail back in Saskatchewan in the 80s?
I started in the Moose Jaw division in '81 as a train order operator. Later was a Train Dispatcher in the Saskatoon division, then on to Winnipeg, Calgary, Montreal and finished up the career in Calgary.
Definitely actors swinging that spiking maul! Real railroad workers don’t swing their hammers like that you get tired really quick that way
