Brandon, man you earned a sub. I can definitely relate to what you said about trying to stay creative and balance life in general, while feeling sleepy all the time. I started looking up this little camera because I saw it a bestbuy. I know you said it won’t make a great film maker alone, however, it will be easier to stay motivated to at least record more moments since it’s so small and convenient. Will be following you going forward and will tag you when I make something. Happy new year
I appreciate the kind words, and I think you're right... the simplicity of the Pocket 3 can certainly make it easier to just start recording without much prep time. I got mine at Best Buy as well. Good luck to you, and please do let me know when you make something with it; I'd love to see it.
I took my Pocket 3 to Japan and Korea over the holidays and find that it's really easy to just keep it in my jacket pocket and pull it out whenever I see something worth filming. Really great for flipping the camera around and doing the talking head stuff. It snowed while we were in Seoul so I used my iPhone 14 Pro Max for the snowy stuff because the Pocket 3 is not weather resistant, and I honestly, I can't see much if any difference in the quality of the vids. They flow together pretty well. Have not published it yet, so nothing to share here. So far, I am not regretting the purchase.
I don't think they're trying to "fool" anyone but, yes, those shots are funny AF... it's like "oh, *hey!* - what a coincidence meeting you here, as I just _happen_ to be strolling *_perfectly_* into frame right now..." 😁😂
The word "cinematic" is thrown around quite a lot. But, like you said, what really makes a video cinematic is storytelling. Not just cool shots. Thanks.
Add a cinematic LUT to the video and seal the deal on it... especially that scene making that super weak looking coffee to darken in up and make it at least APPEAR that you actually like coffee and not green tea... c'mon bro... lol You channel should actually have alot more subscribers honestly, and my guess is that it's a tight niche is mostly the reason... as a "middle aged" content creator myself I get it, and you earned a sub from me anyway. You have a great camera presence and everything, and I agree that everyone is just winging it, but there are a few fundamentals that REALLY make a huge difference and I would like to challenge you to experiment with adding a call to action to subscribe to your channel, not at the very beginning, but somewhere within the first 2-3 minutes... sometime right after it's clear what your channel is all about... If you did that I think you could double your subs in a month or 2 just with that 1 thing. I think it's especially important when your audience is a bit older where we tend to forget about liking or subscribing and just get caught up in the content. Just a suggestion thats worked very well for my channel, and your personality and camera presence is STELLAR compared to mine, so it should work even better for you honestly. What I found most funny is, I am literally planning to pivot my channel a little and start a series of morning coffee with a cinematic type coffee intro, but totally not how I stumbled on your channel. But you are right, this cinematic coffee thing is legit... lol
CZcams algo brought me here. I initially thought.. “oh no not another homemade cringe cinematic vlog!!!” I was pleasantly surprised…I love the commentary!!! Spot on with the coffee and matcha, whats with that?.. anyway, more of the commentaries please😉. Subscribed.
Thank you for your ideas. Indeed useful and motivating. I try to create some videos while in my 40's and taking care of more than 20 cats, one son, the job, etc. hahaha.
Music plays major role. Me as a photographer struggling to film myself 😂😂your cinematic looked great and can you tell me music name? Is it from youtube library.
@@BrandonBautista Thank you. Was reading about copyright claims for music if used from envato elements. You haven't given any credits in description. I am absolutely new to it and looks for time being just use youtube library 😂
I love how you narrated this cinematic video lol!
Some hilarious stuff in this video. Great work.
This is a great video with great video quality in true color!
This is not the best comment in the world, this is just a tribute. \m/
Thank goodness someone got that reference! 🙌

2:00 as if it’s just serendipity that there’s a camera there 😂
They’re not fooling anyone! 🤣

Not bad man. Keep it up. I think you like being outside 😂. Now go to a touristy area with lots of people and do the same thing! 🤔😜
What a great parody & review! The wanting to be inside on carpet made me actually lol
Thank you, and happy new year! 🎉

Cringe, homemade cinematic vlogs eh? What content are you producing, can't wait to shit on it :)

Thank you, and keep making those videos!
@@BrandonBautistaYou too!! will follow your posts and channel! keep the good work (and the video production haha).

I have a subscription to Envato Elements, so I was able to download a track called "Emotion" from there.

Mate your cinematic coffee making doesn't cut it! Was this all shot on the DOP3, even when you went back inside?
Yes, the whole video was shot on the Osmo Pocket 3!
Looks like a birding sanctuary in the Finger Lakes, am I spot on?
No, it’s just a small park near my house in Michigan. Good guess though!
hilarious
Bro, where you located? We should get together and create mediocre content together as two old farts.
hahaha brooooooo! 😅😅😅
Of course, who wouldn’t want to sit on a gross bench? 😂
