  • Dear friends, travellers, explorers, and those seeking spiritual blessings,
If you are in Bangkok, please go visit the most exquisite Lord Buddha in Wat Traimit. This Wat (Temple) is in Bangkok itself. I was flabbergasted at the beauty of this Buddha. In my short video I have described the background of this most serene Buddha upon sight takes your breath away. Our Thai friend Green recommended for us to visit. Thank you so much Green!
I love Buddha images so much since very young. It is a tremendous blessing to be in their presence. If you have the chance to visit Wat Traimit and sit in the presence of this Buddha then recite the 35 Confessional Buddha Sutra, Yonten Shigyurma, King of Prayers, Praise to Shakyamuni by Tsongkapa, Medicine Buddha practice or any practice you know in the presence of this most sacred image. Make it a point to visit. Or you can simply sit and meditate for a while.
Much care, much blessings and much prayers,
    Tsem Rinpoche

the Buddha of wat traimit, in bangkok, Thailand, is a work of art really fascinating-
an ancient statue of Buddha entirely made of pure gold, with a weight of 5,5 tons-
Is a sculture unique in the world. the temple of Wat Traimit too is majestic temple.

Adam Mir Found some info here : The Golden Buddha, officially titled Phra Phuttha Maha Suwana Patimakon (Thai: พระพุทธมหาสุวรรณปฏิมากร), is a gold statue, with a weight of 5.5 tons (5,500 kilograms). It is located in the temple of Wat Traimit, Bangkok, Thailand. At one point in its history the statue was covered with a layer of stucco and coloured glass to conceal its true value, and it remained in this condition for almost 200 years, ending up at what was then a pagoda of minor significance. During relocation of the statue in 1955, the plaster was chipped off and the gold revealed. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Buddha_(statue)
